  1. Looks like I made the right choice to skip FE6 banner, or else I will be out of orbs for Bruno. Marissa's line is kinda funny so I might go for her I guess. First is fates beast and now Bunny Bruno, I can barely saved enough orbs.
  2. FEH has made me forgot that Breath weapons don't always deal magical damage (I know that technically they can deal physical damage against ranged units). It does makes more sense that fire breathe from a dragon is considered as magical Also, slight correction on 魔道, it should be 魔導,because 魔道 actually does mean evil way of life/path, the word 魔 on its own means demon and often relates to evil stuff, that's why my first impression on the word 魔竜 is demon dragon. Of course I will try not to go there from now (at least on this dragonbind sword).
  3. Wow I had no idea about that theory of dragons from two different games can possibly be connected. Appreciate the extra info. Though I said what I said because I have always associated the word 魔 with demon rather than magic since I was a child.
  4. I too hope that I can get a Switch just for 3 houses, and that would means to get a real job as soon as possible (just finished my internship and graduated about 3 weeks ago). For game though, I really want to finish Tokyo Mirage but the cutscenes seems really long and no way to skipping them, I hate that in video games because I seldom have any interest in knowing the story. So I guess my goal here is to brace myself and just finish playing the game some day. 2nd goal is to finish my current BR lunatic run without over grinding, I am stuck at Asugi's paralogue and must have reset for about 6 times already. 3rd goal, or rather plan, after finishing BR is to start CQ with S-Support Arthur and Berserker Corrin, plus making Benny and Charlotte compulsory in every battle after they were recruited. I still have an active Awakening Lunatic+ playthrough but I don't think I am ever going to finish that.
  5. Agreed, they have the perfect character that is a blank state in term of unit design, and they made him a sword unit. He could have been an Axe Cavalier with the same effect on his Prf. He would have been more than just a husbando collection for me.
  6. If the word is 魔竜 then nothing is stopping me from thinking it as "demon dragon" to go with that racist C skill.
  7. Katarina, and since I have no faith in her winning at all, Female Morgan after that.
  8. I abused Pheonix mode and save file from last chapter to train up units to save their skills, so that I can get it in another playthrough and wont have to go to other people's mycastle to search and buy the skills I want.
  9. I am kinda worry about the lac of presence of the usual "FE archetype", like thief, edgy myrmidon or Camus. Though "Cain and Abel" seems to be Sylvain and the other dude he is sparing with in the trailer.
  10. Crossover with Yugioh characters but use FE Cipher cards instead. But this is most unlikely since Yugioh use games and anime mainly to boost the sales of their own cards. The next best thing is Pokemon Conquest style game. Or crossover with Digimon, I think I saw a picture of Sanaki and Wargreymon combined their "fire ball" attack (cymbeline & Terra Force) and it looked really cool.
  11. I created some skills for Arlen when I was bored, not sure how powerful it is though Arlen, Infantry Blue Mage Weapon Skill: Arlen's Thoron. At the start of the combat, if unit's spd is higher than foe's spd by at least 3, foe suffers atk/res -4. Special Skill: {no name yet}. 3 turns cooldown. Add 50% of total bonus on unit to damage. B Skill: Aries Shard (it boosts Luck in New Mystery). On odd turn, before entering combat with foe, unit's special cooldown -1.
  12. I wasn't clear in my reasoning sorry about that. What I wanna say is that I like that they are inconsequential in a story about human war, but more like an extra flair, like those fire and ice tribe. I would like to expand more on those side factions but that's not a big deal when they didn't. Especially the way Kaden & Keaton tag along in Revelation while people are busy fighting, it's warmhearted and quite a fun duo to see and probably the only redeeming part of Revelation. As for Panne, I also think that Taguel is shoehorned in, but we know that for sure is because it is set in Marth's universe. Since 3H is set in a new continent, any way of lore implementation is fair game in my opinion, as long as the gameplay mechanic of beast/shapeshifter is not too weird/inferior than the rest of human unit.
  13. To be fair, Panne did said she is likely to be the last of her kind (before Yarne that is). And I think kitsune/wolfskin idea works great in fates because it only largely concerns Hoshido and Nohr, Cheve is shown to be somewhat unaffected until Scarlet decided to start a rebellion, why would the entire beast race get themselves involve in human affair? Sort of like dragon laguz nation in Tellius decided to stay away from most part the war except the end for their own reason.
  14. 1. Priam. I like/hate his paralogue and hopefully FEH can recreate that again. 2. Selena (from FE8). She is quite a memorable character from that game. 3. Astram. He could be the wasted potential with a cool prf and disappointing stats in a sea of sword units, just like how he is in New Mystery. 4. Taoroneo (cool guy) /Fiona (maybe she finally has a chance to be good) 5. Arlen. I put him last because I really wants him to come on a banner with cool skills and busted stats, but if ghb is the way for him to appear in FEH I am cool with it.
  15. See if Black Knight revelation (the real identity, not just the removed helmet identity, and his motivation) in the final chapter of RD came out much earlier, I would have like him much more, cuz I am a sucker for those "loyal and help master to achieve their greater ambition" kind of character. But his entire interaction with Ike in the earlier PoR just irks me in the wrong way, like he is just there to make sure Ike wants to level up. In PoR he is the mysterious and strong character who works for the big bad and killed the protagonist's dad while casually speaking in vague terms to increase his mysterious element, which I still sorta dig. It's only in RD he started to have development at the final chapter. Well the original Japanese excuse was more believably ridiculous (does that make sense?), while the localized version makes him sounds like a sore loser so it sort of undercut his original badass-ness, because Ike still win the fight with a freaking hammer (at least in my version). I happens to like Star Trek, which reminds me I haven't started watching the season 2 of Discovery yet. Here's hoping Michelle Yeoh doesn't freaking disappear after 2 episodes.
  16. Well I like Chrom more than Corrin so if you compare these two I am definitely gonna agree with you cuz I like him more. I mean do I have more things to said about Corrin regarding your third paragraph that tackle character arc and developement ? Yes, but I just watched the latest episode of Brooklyn 99 and I am kinda high on laughing right now so.... Also it seems like you haven't played some of the games in the series like PoR so I am sorry if I spoil anything to you earlier on.
  17. When his refine came out, I finally got the motivation to merge him. My first 5*+10, Niles.
  18. Because I wasn't trying to praise Corrin for being a well-written character, I was just saying him and Ike aren't exactly too far apart in terms of writing quality. Like if this Ike guy can get away with being an average lord then why doesn't Corrin get a pass. Yes, I am fully aware that I am doing it again, because that's how I view all the arguments against Corrin. Like is Sigurd or Ike really any better than him? I AM trying to say that both heroes sucks equally. The last reason as to why Black Knight leave Ike alive (to test him at his fullest one day) has got to be one of the most edgy and cringy reason in anime/game when I first heard about it. I preferred the Japanese version of how he escaped by using Warp Powder. So Black Knight and Hans basically serve the same function, as in one kills Greil and the latter kills Gunter in BR, and both Ike and Corrin have the reason to revenge against said villain. I didn't intend to present this as argument to defend Corrin, more like, just trying to say that opinions and taste on things changes and varies, no matter who or what the subject is. I am not trying to win some debate on something as subjective as quality of stories and characters. So I won't be putting together iron clad arguments or evidence to win or prove anything. I don't even hope to convince anyone. It's just what I have been thinking this whole time about fates and comparing it to other games in FE series.
  19. Yeah, I finished all three routes. Honestly, I can understand his viewpoint and action in CQ, it is incredibly stupid and naive, but it is also in-character for them because they are meant to be naive. Yes, the soldier didn't kill anyone sounds unbelievable, but so is Ephraim storming a castle with just about six people or Ike didn't think about using the sword that his dad left behind, or the entire concept of blood pact. I didn't join FE community until after I played FEH, by then I had already play through half of the series for years without knowing the opinions of the majority (on the internet anyway) on these games. Heck, Kris was my favorite avatar back when I just started playing and is the reason I continue playing the other games in FE series. After reading tons of analysis afterwards, I am still not convinced that Corrin is any worse than say Sigurd or Hector in terms of writing. But someone told me that before fateswakening, the flak was focus on Roy, Eirika and Micaiah, and then 3ds lords shift those focus away, and those three previous flak-receivers became well-loved, so who knows maybe 10 years from now Corrin will be remembered as the classic FE lord and the golden example of "how a good FE lord should be like".
  20. The incest as major plot is one of the mandatory relationship, but there are other possible incest and cousins marriage as well (some defended that cousins marriage aren't taboo back in those fe4 days in Japan). While both are equally gross, Corrin and all those "siblings" aren't actually blood related (except for Azura, thank goodness I never S-Support her with any royals and Corrin before Revelation). I detest incest as much as the next guy, and I think Fates deserves some of its criticism, but only singling out Fates seems bit unfair since you can totally avoid that incest relationship at no cost, just like FE4. I am not one of those people that just bash older titles without even playing them. I really tried to understand all the praise but just couldn't see how is it much worse than fates story after going through them. Like I can draw out the comparison all day about similarities between Sigurd and Corrin, and the recency bias (in my current BR walkthrough) just makes me like Corrin and rest of fates cast even more.
  21. Yeah I know he isn't popular like the rest of 3ds beasts, was just too excited about this banner and sad that he got left out.
  22. I also don't understand the constant bashing on Corrin. I am still on my second playthrough of BR and Corrin seems like a normal FE lord to me, in campaign and support convo. He gets pointed out about him too easily trusting other people but that's because he only interacted with his maid/retainers/siblings for the better part of his life. Even he himself doubted whether that part of him half way through the game. Incest exists since FE4. PoR has your typical shounen Ike, RD has him being worshiped like some god, even in a game that tried to present multiple sides/faction he still somehow ended up being the hero in the story. From the beginning when he was appointed leader of Greil's mercenary just because he is the son of Greil, or that Black Knight leave him alive, and to the final battle against Ashera, everything points to him being the special chosen one just as much as Corrin is. But it's fine. I have been in FE community long enough to know that the subjective opinion like this is not a popular one. Don't get me wrong, I still like Genealogy and Thracia and those older titles, and will be sure to play their eventual remake, but I just can't see the appeal of the story or how the story is anything better than fates.
  23. And just I thought I can stash some orbs, well I can considered it gone now because I want to pull for all four units on this banner, for the first time in 2019. I pray to Naga that I hope to get at least Kaden and Selkie. Panne is free so that's very nice to hear as well. Yarne is probably (hopefully) on brave redux banner.
  24. Not sure why but he looks like a traitor, probably joins Dimitri crew to steal information but then if you have S/A-support then he would come clean and defect to our side.
