  1. More info about Rune Factory 5. More info about George Souls/whatever From Software and GRRM are planning. I really hope there's something new related to Megaman, but I doubt it. I doubly doubt anything related to the X series will arrive so soon. If it does, it'll be at the same date as Mount & Blade 2, I think. More info about Three Houses, preferably with a gameplay footage, preferably not played by a game journalist someone who never touched a strategy game, because it hurts the showcasing. Rocksteady's next game, if it is mentioned. Cyberpunk 2077. A new Gunvolt game Anything about Hollow Knight: Silksong. I absolutely need a release date. Yoko Taro is also supposedly working on a game, although I doubt we'll hear of it so soon. A showcase for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
  2. It always says that. They either fucked up with the algorithm for showing the result texts (which is the same even for people who scored low), or they only have a result text for every possible result. I think it's the later.
  3. I think it's more about the engagement with playing games than with the time you actually have to play them, which... is understandable, especially if you work or college consumes a lot of your time. Your vacancy from playing video games wouldn't come from a disengagement, but because something else forces you to be away from it.
  4. https://do-i-play-too-much-videogames.com/survey/wznn9s7zcy7r/8yr8wul6lop4 Found this gaming disorder survey while checking out PCGamer. While the disorder is still being debated on credibility, and this survey is still experimental, I found it interesting to check it out. I got a 16/20 score, although it's far from a "real" diagnosis given by a professional. There are some things I found questionable in the diagnosis, however: My results: - It narrows down competitiveness to competitive online gaming Why can't one compete with themselves, using the game's own difficulty and self-imposed challenges as their prefered way to "compete"? I'm much more included in that group than in the group of players who like to compete online, yet it's what "competitive gaming" is considered by the survey. - Fantasy motivation isn't the same as wanting to live in the character's shoes and world I enjoy fantasy worlds a lot, and games are a good medium for that. It doesn't mean I want to forfeit reality for whichever world it is, however. Maybe I'm just intrigued and interested on the characters and the worlds they live in, instead of trying to find escape from real life. I don't read the ASOIAF books because I wish to live in Westeros and I wish I had a dragon - I read them because Westeros is fascinating, and so are the fantastic elements from the universe (along other reasons). I approach games in the same way. - I'm not driven by social motivation, and I rarely interact in online games. Why the hell did the survey think I do? I must suck at answering these questions. Anyway, that's it. Feel free to share your results and discuss about the subject.
  5. Trails is my favorite RPG series of all time. For strategy games, I prefer western ones. Fire Emblem is probably my favorite SRPG series, though.

  7. I'll write something for the next prompt. I'll write something for the next prompt. I'll write something for the next prompt. I'll keep writing that I'll write something for the next prompt, as if I were Bart in the Simpsons opening.
  8. Judgment is a fun game, at least. I wish the controls weren't so weird, because seriously, it was a bad idea to force the Wiimote through the playerbase's throat the way some Wii games did. Judgment is one of these games where it doesn't work well at all. @Alastor15243 Sainthood comes after death, so, uh... I think I'll pass for now, thanks.
  9. Please don't remind me of this. I seriously gave up at that game right there. Also, I second that Harmony of Dissonance was a terrible experience, and also my first one. I really am not sure how they could make such a clunky, dark game, because even Circle of the Moon's very basic formula works fine as it is, and it's nowhere ambitious. If it weren't for Aria later, I'd have given up on the series.
  10. Part of me wants to do that as well, but I can't even finish a single game of that list. Before the endgame, I'm already burned out and then other things take priority. In any case, good luck. No one asked, but I'd rate them as: Symphony of the Night Aria of Sorrow (a strong contender for SOTN, imo) Dawn of Sorrow Didn't play Order of Ecclesia or Portrait of Ruin much to comment. Symphony had the cool stages, OST, enemies, bosses, an immense castle, special moves and everything I could expect from a Metroidvania (I can only imagine the surprise to the people who had their firsthand experience with one back then). My only issue is with how the game tends to have a trivial difficulty most of the time, and the mid-lategame gets boring very quickly. Aria had everything that made SOTN good, a decent roster of characters and an engaging difficulty. I wish I could remember its details better, because all I know is that I enjoyed it more than the rest. Dawn was a good follow-up to Aria, but with some annoying issues that made me put it lower on the list. The mini-game with the stylus only serves to make boss fights more frustrating, anything kills Soma with a few hits, and it felt as if every enemy took ages to die, even generic mooks, which for me is a cheap way to compensate for difficulty. There are more weapons, but they're more of the same and they don't matter. There are more souls, but not are they grindy, but also most of them are irrelevant and add little to nothing to the gameplay.
  11. Ao's is further than Zero's? The later's is on 80% (or so says the post that was last updated in January). That's cool.
  12. I really hope Trails' overarching story doesn't go the same route as Kingdom Hearts', depending on plenty of spin-off and side games as well as mobile games for you to understand it. I'm still waiting for the finished translation of whichever is the first Crossbell game. I think all these new functionalities spoiled me.
  13. Rayman 2: The Great Escape is pretty good, although I don't know if it's "underlooked". I can't remember any others now.
  14. I love the style of Soulsborne games, and I've been eyeing God Eater for a while. That game will be a fine addition to my collection... as long as it isn't too expensive when it's released. It'll be more than welcome after I beat Bloodborne.
  15. All weapons in the game would be either projectiles or melee. Every character in the series fit in at least one of these categories. Sigma 2 would be melee but use claws instead of a lightsaber, Sigma 3 would be mostly ranged (throwing his shield like a boomerang) while also being able to use it for defense or hitting things from melee. Also, my take on the character roster:
  16. I think a MegaMusou game could work if it had a more shooter approach, while allowing melee based classes to also work. I can imagine it playing like Star Wars Battlefront 2, with the other chars playing as the troopers/droids while melee chars would work like the Jedi and Sith. They'd already have Vile included in the game if they did, at least.
  17. I'm not even disappointed about it because it's a bullet hell - I'm disappointed because the tutorial is long and horrible at explaining how the game works and what you're supposed to do. I don't know what they had in mind, since RPGs was the series' main style and they ditched it for a completely different genre. The OST and designs look cool, but it didn't save the game for me.
  18. Mother 4. I mean, even the author said many times that he doesn't want to do it. The fangame with the same name, which has been in development hell for a decade, doesn't count. Megaman ZX 3 or whatever title they might want to give it. A new Golden Axe title, even if it is a remake. A Sonic Mania 2. Another Digimon Card Battle game, preferably with a better AI. A new Lufia game. A Fire Emblem 4 remake. Another Harvest Moon game like Friends of Mineral Town. The series is still alive, but the games have become very different from what I was used to. Stardew Valley and My Time at Portia are the closest example of a Harvest Moon I expect. I'd also love if somehow exclusive Nintendo games like Fire Emblem could come to PC. Obviously, that won't happen.
  19. How exactly would Far Cry 3 work without having a preset protagonist? It's all about Jason, his growth and increasing madness for being in that island, as well as his relationship with his friends as he tries to save them from Vaas. I can understand the critique on the others (FC 4 and Primal), although it doesn't bother me that we can't make a custom character. I think it's just simpler than giving you all the assets for making your own character or writing a separate script for a genderbent protagonist.
  20. Self-explanatory. Metal Gear Solid - I mean, unless you count Metal Gear Rising, I haven't played any of its games. I've been looking forward to playing the entire series, though, from what I've heard about the stealth gameplay, story and characters. Resident Evil - I wasn't too interested in horror games (and still am not that much), but hearing more and more about it made me interested. Silent Hill - Same as above, but it interests me more for being a psychological horror-like game. Animal Crossing - It looks like a weird Harvest Moon-like game...?
  21. Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon - Hey, shitting on Shadow Dragon is popular, but still. It's inadmissible to ressurrect a very old game that definitely didn't age well in terms of game design and mechanics, then expect it to work again after we've been pampered with so many new mechanics for the series. The map quality is also dubious at best, although Shadows of Valentia takes the cake for having some of the worst. It brought a cool reclassing mechanic and different difficulties, but that's it...? FE12 was significantly better as a remake, and so was SoV. Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 - It's not a bad game, but what does it add, even? Copen is so broken, it's doubtful much thought was given to his gameplay. Dividing the stages and bosses feels like a cheap way to make you play with each character separatedly, yet all it accomplishes is making the game very quick to beat. I used to buy the excuse for dividing the stages due to the different gameplays, but in the end there's a time trial/free play mode where you can access them with any character, so it became pointless. Megaman X5 - It's mediocre at best, for me. It feels like a lazy carbon copy of X4, as much of that game was conveniently taken for X5 (even X6 feels more original, and it's a mess of a game). The level design is dubious at best, the bosses are way simpler and repetitive, the game has a random chance to screw you over by taking a character from you permanently due to plot reasons and obtaining parts in this game is a grindy chore. Freedom Planet - 'Disappointing' is a bit harsh, but I expected it to be better. The gameplay is interesting, but having too many gimmicks in your stage as well as having them being huge really managed to bore me very quickly. It doesn't help that the characters and story are saturday morning cartoon quality. Terraria - Don't get me wrong, I loved the game when it was first released and played it a lot. On hindsight, though, I now realize how terribly repetitive the game is, and how the initial surviving/exploring is so boring. It is a good game, but I think it didn't age well and I find myself avoiding it merely because of its start and repetitive mining grind. Minecraft - For the reasons above, although I find Terraria a much better game due to its roguelike design. It was really good when it came out and felt like a cool physics simulator with survival elements, but later I couldn't really bother playing an aimless game where you have no goals or objectives. Wargroove - Another of these games where saying they disappointed me is a bit too extreme, but there are things where it could've been much better. The maps are overly long and the game is sluggish, the music repetition gets boring very quickly, and to be fair I'm not seeing much unit difference between all the factions, other than the ocasional specific hero or monster. It is a fun game to play, but being sluggish hinders me from enjoying it as much as I would.
  22. Oh yes, more moonrunes-locked games that'll end up coming in english years later for a price. Cool. I mean, at this point I'll try playing Vestaria in japanese and deal with the menus. It's great to see Kaga is still up and running with his game. Coming with a gaiden with 25 chapters is nothing short of impressive.
  23. lol don't even mention motivation with me I might write after the phase's over just for the sake of writing, I guess.
  24. 11 hour left and I've written a great total of 0 words. I'm sure I can still do this!
