  1. I'm in Chapter 3 at the moment, in the Gorhia Cult Headquarters at the moment. So not really far, but far enough that I really hope I can keep playing (though I can surely do the beginning bits much faster now that I understand how the game plays). According to someone on GameFaqs nothing deciding if I get the good ending comes up until chapter 4; is that accurate?

  2. Yeah. And okay; I'll be sure to beat it the good way. Hopefully I've not already messed something up. Also, I hope you become unsick in the nearest of near futures.

  3. 8] I've been doing reasonably well; finally trying to beat Valkyrie Profile. What have you been up to?

  4. !! Your Marisa avatar! Is the source easily at hand?

  5. Ah, sorry about that, but that is sort of good news (I think?).

  6. Not too bad. Still unimpressed with the American service industry, but otherwise I've been well.

  7. Indeed. 8[ Have you been well? And sunglassed?

  8. I hope you rot faster than a pear.

  9. Ow, my wrist.

  10. I completely expected you to sound like Sanae. I thought your explanations adequate without being long-winded and whatever the opposite of annoying is, by which I mean you did a much better job than 99% of people on YouTube who similarly narrate games, and I enjoyed, at least as someone completely unfamiliar with the Victoria series, watching your first two videos all the way through in place of completing my homework. Text on the screen was difficult to read because of the video size (despite the otherwise good quality), but I'm not sure it'd be easily legible at 480 or 720 because the text is quite small.
  11. Hello Lord Master Dreadnought Nightmarre.
  12. You'll live. :3

  13. I have no idea if this should go in General, Far from the Forest, or Creative, so I put it here because it seems the most active of the three. Not that I would have the authority to enforce or contest any decision on this matter, but I'd appreciate it nonetheless if a staff member could let me know where this thread would best be posted, and move it as appropriate. I performed a generic search for "cosplay" and came up with this recent thread and a lot of posts from the FE4 Thread. I couldn't be bothered to investigate further, I apologize if this thread has recently been done before. Anyways, I know Fire Emblem cosplay is at least not rare, if not somewhat common, and this is a Fire Emblem board, and a fair number of people here also enjoy other Japanese games, anime, or other Japanese popular media, so I'm curious if anyone here has ever cosplayed, and if so where and as who, or would anyone like to cosplay and possibly have plans to pursue it. The scope of the question isn't restricted to Fire Emblem cosplay, I'm just wondering in general as it's something I'm considering trying this summer.
  14. Paperblade, I see from your avatar that you are sunglassed. This is excellent news. You should join the IRC.
  15. Eight out of five sunglasses is truly excellent. I lived in Japan until literally four hours ago. I now reside in the United States again (I'm from Europe but was mostly raised in the US), but I'll probably go back or move somewhere else after I graduate university. I played a little bit of Fire Emblem 4 and 12 a few days ago to see where I had left off in them, having never yet finished either. I still usually give a Fire Emblem game a go at least once a month.
  16. Yes! The irresponsible journalism filling the void left by the unfortunate dearth of information is sickening. I've been trying to consider seriously only official American, British, and Japanese travel advisories and reports from somewhat reputable organizations (the Japan Atomic Industrial Forum has decent reports) in an attempt to avoid the confused misinformation being distributed by people who have no understanding of the matters they're attempting to report on.
  17. I uphold that Black and White are the worst games in the main series, not exclusively but most especially in terms of their presenting a world that is consistent and fun to explore... which they doesn't. I was disappointed by multiple locales in Black (I only have Black but I very much doubt I need to argue it's not unreasonable to extend my opinions in this regard to White despite my not having played it) that should have been exciting, interesting, or fun, but were instead vapid technical demonstrations. If you're concerned about a waning interest in the series, my personal suggestion would be to return to the older games, whichever you may have most enjoyed, and you not overly worry about Black and White unless something really inspires you to get them, or you're only really interested in play with other people, or everyone else thinks I'm stupid for thoroughly disliking them.
  18. My sentiments mirror AceNoctali's pretty much exactly.I would have hoped 3DS region-locking will be as inconsequential as with the PSP (where region locking is supported but has been used for games only in an extreme minority of cases), but the (reputed) e-mail is unambiguous. This is disappointing news. VincentASM brings up a good point about Europe; region locking doesn't affect only those who import from Japan.
  19. This is the best idea. I removed the star for Canada because it is the most worthless state.
  20. Establishing the Wisterine Empire Become a manufacturer of top quality shaded spectacles. - Requires knowledge of shade forging. Form an alliance with the most superior of citrus fruits. Challenge the capitalist systems of North America for political and economic supremacy. Secretly enact surprise slavery. Introduce the sunglass and the tangerine as currency. Subjugate Europe. - Accomplished by flaunting a flag without the color blue. Drill to the Earth's core. Plant tangerine groves in the Earth's core. Exert imperial supremacy to all reaches of the globe. - May require giving sunglasses made of iron to persistent enemies. --- These are disguised as gifts of goodwill but render them unable to see. - May also necessitate a sunglassed army. Adopt the saying "The Wisterine Empire does not know when the Sun sets because we are wearing sunglasses". Achieve immortality. Drill into the Sun. - With our /bare hands/. Enjoy tea in the Sun's core. This is the most unstoppable of plans.
