  1. Hrm, I haven't played all of the Fire Emblem games but I think I've played enough to do this Best 3 Points - Radiant Dawn 2 Points - Path of Radiance 1 Point - Blazing Sword Worst 3 Points - Shadow Dragon and the Sword of Light 2 Points - Awakening 1 Point - Sacred Stones
  2. Aw shit I just realised my boy Alm is left-handed. Every little thing just makes this revelation even greater
  3. Bolse? You'd have to be pretty clever to make a pun out of that. Good thing I'm not just puns, I'm alliterations too! ...Uh, right. ANYWAY... Edit: I didn't even realise that this wasn't posted. Good thing for the built-in save!
  4. Titania... it's a shitty Titanic pun just waiting to happen. I don't even know what the video title is meant to entail.
  5. Well now that the first half of the game is over, it actually becomes pretty damn fun! Sector X is the name, you've probably heard of it. Or not. It was red in Star Fox Command. Here it's blue. Does that give you a hint? Good, cause it didn't for me either despite having played both before. Thanks, starfoxwiki.
  6. I had a similar idea where guns can be made stronger but determined by skill, as skill will determine how accurate your shot is and therefore a more deadly shot. In regards to strength, that can be like con except only certain weapons can be wielded if you have enough strength, as not anyone can use say an assault rifle without it going flying all over the place.
  7. Meteo, what a forgettable stage that is! Except for that one part I didn't show... Uh, never mind! It does not matter, for the journey of our fearless crew brings them to Fortuna. Or Fichina. Or Fortuna in Star Fox Zero. Look, Nintendo make a lot mistakes okay?
  8. I want the player to familiarise themselves with these first few characters as that way it will give time for later characters to be given some development. Leith and Rin especially, but Nyoman and Ezekiel will consistently play a large role in the story just not as much so as them. 1) Yeah, that's kind of the idea of him being annoying. He's going to be facing some pretty big character development over the course of the first chapter/story arc, so it won't stick for a long time. I might do so at some points, but the general idea is that he is meant to either be seen as amusing or frustrating due to his sheer innocent and naive personality. He and Rin are supposed to contrast with Nyoman and Leith's cynical, cold exterior. 2) I'm not sure yet if I'm going to implement support conversations. I'm leaning towards the Radiant Dawn style of support convos, though they'd be unique to each character, as there will be plenty of dialogue between characters that having long supports will be unnecessary. 3) I believe it's Succubi. I searched it up for a dialogue point. I'm not going to go overboard with mythical creatures but I do want to bring some in to add new variety to the roster. I might create my own type of monster hybrids as I do have some ideas in my head.
  9. Ah I see. I did that before but I wasn't sure if it was correct. Thanks for letting me know.
  10. Yeah I don't know how to use google worksheet. Is there a way to make it public for everyone?
  11. Though it hasn't yet been finalised, I've written out the dialogue for the first three parts so far. Currently working on the 4th part. Might start on the maps for the parts' dialogue I've finished. I'm using wordpad for writing the story, so I just copy-pasted it to google worksheet. Hopefully I fixed it so it can be shared to publically: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1W4k1yjrbnOmcPYlb2lRXZUbzyvdzm7kASz3A1JBAYb0/edit?usp=sharing
  12. Let's see... Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect and Grand Theft Auto. I've tried them all and just didn't really enjoy them. They're not shit, they're just nothing special to me. Overhyped in my opinion.
  13. It's already been done in FE8 so I'd be very surprised if it weren't somehow possible.
  14. Alright, it's a bit of an overstatement with Kyza and Lyre's growths, but they're noticeably better than other laguz growths. For example, when I most recently used Lyre she was outdoing Ranulf by the time they were both level 32-33 save for her HP. Laguz are hard to grow in RD but not impossible if you're willing to feed them kills as humans or just give them paragon. I've never really desperately needed it on anyone in particular so I usually throw it on a laguz. As for Volug, he has the half-transformation which allows him to attack more frequently. With his almost guaranteed HP and luck on every level up he can easily turn into a formidable wall and slowly build his strike up, whereas Ranulf will always be forced to either spam olivi grass or to run away after a couple of fights. I get the feeling I have pretty different feelings on Fire Emblem characters in general so I understand if you think otherwise.
  15. Mia - 10/10. All of my playthroughs she caps all of the important stats and then some. Give her Alondite and she just straight wrecks shit in the final stages kind of close to the royal laguz, except she doesn't have any elemental or physical weaknesses. For her class, she does everything she needs to. Kyza - 5/10 (I accidentally rated him 7, could that be fixed?). He's alright if you put some effort into him. In the long run, better than Mordecai imo but only if you're willing to put the effort in. You get plenty of olivi grass from the point he is recruited onward so you can manage that issue. Lyre - 6/10 (Same applies to what I did with Kyza but I rated her 6.5). Some people seem to have a word or two to say about her, eh? I'd certainly not bring her in endgame but in the long run she'll out-do Ranulf from my experience. She needs to be babysat a little to get enough exp sure, but if you're willing to she can get pretty strong. Like Kyza, she's one of the only laguz in RD that has human-tier growths. Ranulf - 7/10. He's still better than Lyre for the obvious reason that he starts out stronger. However, his growths are a little worse, just easier to work with so it'll pass. IMO he's still not as useful as say Volug in the chapters he's required or available and unlike him, it'll take a huge amount of effort to attain SS strike. Reyson - 6/10. I'm not really a heron tribe user so my opinion isn't the best. Out of all of them, I'd say Reyson is best for the endgame and the easiest to use, but Rafiel has more potential because of his improved galdr. I still use him over Rafiel but like I said I've never really been that good at making proper use of the heron tribe. I might change my opinions later cause I feel I'm being a tad lazy about these ratings.
  16. 6/10 for Astrid. Though it's generally not a popular opinion I've gotten nothing but solid use out of her. However, due to having lower caps than a marksman, I tend to swap in Leonardo or Shinon for endgame. Her movement is useful in the final 2 endgame chapters though if she's got high enough strength and/or SS in bows to ORK the spirits. 5/10 for Makalov. Being the only sword paladin in the game makes his inclusion in the game unique, but he's nothing too special as are most paladins even with good rng. There's just not enough motivation to use a horseback character that primarily uses swords when you can just use Mia or Edward (and with boots if you want them to mimic the movement Gold/Silver Knights have). 7/10 for Calill. It feels like she's meant to be the fire sage that you'd rather use over Sanaki, But you have to bring Sanaki to endgame anyway so she's sort of a redundant character. Other than pretty run-of-the-mill caps as an archsage, she does have solid stats and unlike Tormod, she has decent availability as a fire sage which is fine by me. All in all, you may as well focus on a rexbolt or rexcalibur user for more diversity. can we contribute to previous characters whose votes have already been decided?
  17. I hear ya, bud. The amount of times I played through this game couldn't be counted. The roughest estimate I could think of is about 500 times. I just played through it over and over again and never got enough of it with the aspiration of wanting to beat my old score. It goes Lylat Wars, Goldeneye, Mario Kart 64, Pokemon Stadium 2 and Super Smash Bros personally, at least from my childhood. That top 5 list may be a little different nowadays, but hey
  18. When you aim low for your expectations, you might actually hit that goal. It's Meteo!
  19. Yeah I agree that she isn't overpowered, but she did make Ashera easier (I didn't use any Royal Laguz so I needed every little thing I could get), she can easily ORK the spirits in that chapter which I felt was important to do. Plus Ashera's huge aoe didn't even do damage to her cause she'd heal 20 hp every turn. I might try both Oscar & Fiona in HM to see who's more useful in the end. Both being a spear user makes for a good comparison. I will be honest that I tend to use all the shittiest characters out of pure fascination for how they get their reputation (I used Lyre, Astrid and Volug all the way up to 4-5, also Meg, Ilyana and Leonardo were a part of my endgame team who all contributed a helluva lot to beating Ashera). I dunno, I personally enjoy using underleveled characters because it's more enjoyable to see them turn into something awesome by the end of the game, which is what happened with Fiona, being the only character to cap all of her stats.
  20. I'm gonna attempt to keep this short. I just played through Radiant Dawn for the first time in about 5 years and I used Fiona all the way to the end (along with a bunch of characters considered shit like Ilyana, Meg & Leonardo) and though I don't have a picture of it, she capped every one of her stats. The only thing that held her back was that I didn't remember the blessed weapons section and she had nothing to bless save a Silver Greatlance. I didn't really have to do any hardcore baby-sitting other than a little bit of grinding in 1-E until her unforged iron lance broke. I know, it was normal mode, but is she really as bad as people consider her? In general, even from the start I didn't have much problem training her. It was just a matter of giving a single shot on an enemy and canto after it or whittle an enemy down to 4-5 HP to finish it off. I know Silver/Gold Knights have average caps, but a lot of characters don't even cap all their stats so it essentially balances out. Between her Sol and regen skills, she never needed to be healed, even in the final chapter and she could easily ORK the spirits. I even used practically all of the Knight classes save for Kieran and Oscar. They didn't square up to Fiona. I'm not starting up a tier discussion, I'd just like to know if it's just that I got lucky? Bear in mind she was one of the characters I hardly used BEXP on as well.
  21. Nailah - I mean she's no Tibarn or Caineghis, but she has some awesome stats + formshift is the most ridiculous thing ever when you pair it up against a laguz that can't formshift. 9/10 Black Knight - You can't really say anything bad about him. For the chapters he's available for it's impossible for him to die and he'll ORK anyone in the chapters he's available. 10/10
  22. Yeah, it's certainly a good direction in my opinion. Three alternate endings would have been the peak of execution in my opinion, but being able to constantly jump between routes is what I love about Lylat Wars. It allows you to enjoy each part of the story as an individual story, rather than committing to one single path. Also, it makes for a lot more diversity and fun in score runs.
  23. So, what's this game? Well, LYLAT Wars is a 3D rail shooter game on the N64 which is also the second (official) game in the STAR Fox series. Confused? Well, Lylat Wars is the name of the PAL release because a company in German by the name Starvox would be a potential threat for lawsuits towards Nintendo, as V's and F's sound very similar when pronounced in German. I know, kind of stupid and a tad over-eccentric, but we're talking about Nintendo here. One of my favourite games of all-time, I intend on doing a full-on comprehensive let's play, showing all exits, stages, while also not being half-bad at the game either. I also aim to show off some covers and/or remixes of the themes present in the stages from YouTube (by permission, of course), which should be fun! Here's part 1: Corneria
  24. It's coming very soon actually! I'm very excited about it too because it's a LOT more involved than this let's play was. I feel that it's a solid 10 times better than what I did here.
