  1. There's SO many factors in this, you can't just say "I'd prefer being killed/raped over being raped/killed". For example, what kind of death is it? Is it a quick and painless death or a long and gruesome one? And how "bad" is the raping? If it's so bad that you can never be happy again, then yes, I would prefer to die. But unless something like this has happened to you, it's hard to imagine what you will feel after being raped. And it's also hard to expect what the future will bring. So, this isn't a yes or no (or a death or rape) kinda question. At least, it isn't for me...
  2. I'd like to join, if possible. It will be my first drafting game, so I'll go and read the rules and stuff now.
  3. Dove straight into Classic Lunatic. Got the game yesterday and died - and restarted - at least a 100 times now. Loving the difficulty though.
  4. It should. I'm from the Netherlands and I get Spotpass updates with my Professor Layton game, shouldn't be any different with Fire Emblem I think =].
  5. Huh, I guess you can. Thanks for the info! But you'll still need to fake one when you want to download a game though.
  6. Tried that, but it didn't work for me. I think it was because it didn't recognise my adress/postal code/zip code since I don't live in the US or Canada. Or something like that.
  7. Be aware that most regions apply a online/download tax which will make you pay extra for downloading games. I think it's somewhere between 0 and 10% for most states, someone please correct me if I'm wrong. So a game of $39,99 can be anywhere between 39,99 (no tax) and $43,99 (10%). I'm personally using Zip Code 19706 (Delaware City, New Castle) which has a 0% tax rate. Hope I helped somewhat!
  8. Everyone get the hell out of my thread.
  9. Learned never to trust cakes. Also, blondes do not always do it better. That is all.
  10. Oh. My, God. So hyped for this! Like everyone, I didn't see this coming (who would!?), but I'm very much interested in this. I played both Devil Survivor games and I loved both of them. Also played Strange Journey, and while I didn't like it as much as the DS games, it was still really enjoyable. I have no idea how they are going to make this work though. The story, gameplay, visuals are all so very different that it's hard to know what to expect. I mean, Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney I can kinda come into, but this? That being said, I very much look forward to it though.
  11. Got my 3DS XL solely for this game, but thought: "Might as well download another game to pass the time." Professor Layton will keep me busy till februari 4th =D.
  12. No, they would not be as effective. Archers/snipers are often criticized for only being able to attack indirectly and having little to no enemy phase value. Mages will suffer the same if magic was only usable at 2-range.
  13. Pigeons. Brussel sprouts. Your mom. A lot, basically.Too much to name xD
  14. Ah yes, "hunting" isn't really the right word for it, I agree. I... didn't really know how to phrase it differently. (Actually, looking at it again I could have just left that part out, everyone probably knows what I meant. And I probably came on too strong about this, that wasn't really my intention to be honest. (I am taking it easy xD) I was just wondering what everyone's opinion of this was. I see what you're saying though, and I actually agree with that. Anyway, apologies for the fuss I made, really didn't intented it that way.
  15. Work (intern) -> Get home, start downloading the game from the E-shop, go play a match of indoor football while the downloading continues -> Get back home and play the shit out of it until deep in the night...
  16. To be fair, you'll always need some luck on lunatic mode, unless you're only using Frederick (and even he doesn't have a 100% hit rate on all enemies I believe). But I do see your point. I can't speak for the whole game, as I'm not one of the people who played the japanese version, but as for the demo chapters I believe the hardest thing is to balance your kills, making sure MU and Chrom get some levels in the first few chapters. As for some general advice, always play defensively. That seems to be a good decision most of the time in pretty much all FE games (Unless ofcourse there are thieves to kill or houses/villages/ally's to protect... the hurry the hell up!). It's also the reason why I'm choosing +Def for my MU.
  17. Oh yeah, women have it so hard. [/sarcasm] Alright, I know it can be a pain, especially if they're too persistent. (i.e. still comong on to you after blowing them on) But come on, most guys will gladly change scenario's (Hunter --> Hunted). The suspense of always being expected to act first on basically everything, while some people love it, most of us hate it. I'm used to it now and I'm not too fussed about the occasional rejection, but it really held me back a few years ago while later hearing that she really liked me and wish I had come on to her. Women really just need to be short, or look annoyed or give some other - subtle or not - hint as to if they're interested or not. I know this sounds a lot like stereotyping, and no, of course this isn't true in all cases, but for a great majority the point still stands I believe. Not trying to hiyack this topic or anything, but how do you guys/girls look at this? Also, as for the posters case, if you made it clear you're not interested, he's kind of a douche to be honest... And I guess he's not a fan of the stereotype gay person, which is perfectly understandable. I actually have been in this situation once in my life, though I didn't know it until one of his girl friends said he like me and was flirting with me. I was like.... that was flirting? xD
  18. Best Stat: Defence (+2) (+10% Def, +5% Res, +5%Luck) Worst Stat: Luck (-2) (-10% Luck, -5% Str, -5% Mag) Bases and growths: Hp: 19 (80%) Str: 6 (50%) Mag: 5 (45%) Skl: 5 (50%) Spd: 6 (50%) Luck: 2 (50%) Def: 8 (50%) Res: 4 (35%) Gonna go Lunatic right from the start, so that +def really will be a blessing. Also need to get really lucky with level-ups with all those ~50% growths...
  19. Oh yeah, should've use that metric system I guess. Thanks for the additional info! Anyway, that seems a bit too much, guess it's more like just one feet. Hmm, that's an interesting way of looking at it. Didn't think about that to be honest. Though this, is the most likely case, I think.
  20. I'd like this too =]. Thanks in advance! Name: Birdy Friend Code: 0146 - 8961 - 0880
  21. You're not seeing things (well, you are, but you know what I mean ^.^). Everything you see is about half a meter closer as the first person perspective should be I think. That being said, it doesn't bother me at all. I absolutely love the CG's of this game.
  22. I find the hardest thing with lunatic mode is to find the balance between Frederick owning everyone and trying to get MU and Krom get most of the kills. Got an alright strategy right now that has a high chance of working (read: no casualties) with both Krom and MU being atleast lvl. 3 by the end of the prologue and lvl.5 at the end of the demo. Ofcourse, this is just the first two chapters of the game, it's probably going to get much harder...
  23. Probably starting on Hard - Classic to get a feel of the game first. After that it's Lunatic/Insane mode with classic. Though if the step from hard to insane is too big, I might do casual first and tactically sacrifice some of my units. =X Either way, I'm not quitting this game untill I beat lunatic mode.
  24. Oh, yes, it actually makes more sense to download it seeing as: A. It will make me play the game earlier (Is the download available on the release date? Not familiar with the Nintendo 3DS e-shop) B. It will probably be cheaper (No shipping costs) You have been giving me a lot of nice info these past days Onestep, thanks for that! =D
