  1. Darros is getting 19 at the very end of the game. Throughout, he'll start decent (11) and then it will lag until he gets a lot more level ups. Kashim doesn't have this problem; he has decent AS from start to finish, where Darros hits a rough spot around the late early game and the mid game.

  2. It still matters more than his irrelevant AS lead.
Wait until we get the numbers before saying this.
30 AS is just as good as 20 AS when 20 AS doubles everything on the map. So no, in this case, it DOESN'T matter.
Except this is like 20 vs 15 not 30 vs 20.
And chapter 15? That's all mages. We're talking, not even in the double digits.
    Chapter 15 onwards.
  3. 20/15.
    3 points.
Also, 4 HP>nothing. The AS lead is equivalent to nothing.
Nothing = nothing. The 4 HP is just about as irrelevant, if anything still a minor lead at best.
    It's higher than Kashim's.
    Not enough to matter.
    19 Endgame. That's juuuust enough.
You make it sound like it's barely enough. If that is the case (which I heavily think it is), then Kashim's consistently doubling just about everything as a Mercenary.
Except it isn't because the defense actually matters.
AS matters just as much, especially when one grows it a lot more than the other.
The defense matters because it's letting Darros live longer. The AS doesn't matter because Darros is still doubling everything. It's that simple.
    But he's _not_.

(Can someone get the stats of like... every enemy past Chapter 15; the average ones are fine really... because I heavily doubt about 16 Speed after promotion is enough to double).

  4. How the hell is that even CLOSE to the same? Also, 10% extra HP starts to stack up after a while.
It's four points of HP by 20/20. It won't stack up too much especially since HP is the type of stat where a difference of three or four isn't significant.

Defense I will give you; if I did my math right, it's going to start out +1 and eventually become a +3 lead by 20/0. +4ish at 20/10 and +5-6 at 20/20.

Same could apply to his Speed. But that proves my point; they shouldn't be a tier apart.

Start out the same = base Defense. Silly.

Don't forget MUCH more HP/def. And again, they probably won't. Castor REALLY wants some time as fighter, because he sorely needs HP.
Much more HP = 10 HP. Darros' HP isn't even that high.
And that's all he needs. He hits the speed requirement to double most things, and that's all that matters. For the mamkutes, he shouldn't even need to double since wyrmslayers exist.
Growing once every five levels, he'll have 14 Speed by Level 20. As a Mercenary too, he has even poorer speed with all the other classes (aside from Hunter, which has poor base speed).

Castor's speed grows roughly once every three levels. By level 20, as a Merc, he'll have 17 Speed. That's much more.

I somehow doubt this is the speed requirement, especially when he has 15-16 in the later parts of the game.

How in the name of christ does an irrelevant AS lead beat out a significant durability lead?
Irrelevant? A 15% lead in Speed is about as irrelevant as the 15% lead Darros has in Defense.
  5. Actual staying power, for one. For two, he actually has higher base strength [lol] and she can't even use steel to compensate.
... they both start out with a Strength base of 1.
Darros also has twice of castor oil's defense growth, as well as 10% more HP. Also, who's to say they take the same class? Merc probably isn't the best option for Castor Oil, but for Darros, it's the ONLY option.
Twice naturally, it's 15% otherwise. They start out the same.
Also, who's to say they take the same class?
If they do, hypothetically, they will have the same stats aside from a 2 point Skill lead (one point speed also, but guess who has 25% more growth) on Darros' part. When you bring them up, Castor has loads more AS and Darros doesn't have much; his AS is purely from class growth (20% as a Mercenary lol).

Darros has only defense to fall back on considering they have exactly the same Strength.

Castor is a much better Mercenary too.

  6. That's just the High and God tier. I'm vouching for lower mid.

There also shouldn't be a one tier gap between Castor and Darros considering their base stats are incredibly similar. Take off the class bases and you have a skill lead of 2 on Darros' side, everything else is the same.

their growths aren't too far off either. Castor has a lot more skill and Speed but a bit less HP and a lot less Def. There shouldn't be that big a tier gap.

  7. 0% defense cancels all of those out right away. It's just overkilling his offense. In NM you can one round everthing with a wet noodle, so he's really going to want that defense more.
His HP is fine, though. He can't afford to get ganged up--but nobody can.

I think a couple level ups to boost his Speed then a couple level ups as a Knight sounds pretty good though.

  8. This game doesn't give us its own definition of that, so we're free to create our own.
We haven't defined it yet have we?

(I tried self-made ranks back on FESS once. :< It never really got off the ground aside from the Funds rank. Good luck.)

If we're going to judge solely by how fast you can charge, the Warp staff users should be in Top and everyone else should be a lot lower.

  9. that's more like four

Also, Draug should be like low-mid because his offense tends to grow well as a Fighter/Pirate (though his defense is still shit). 80% HP, 45% Str, 35% Skl, 50% Spd sounds cool even if there are 0% in Def/Res. His bases aren't too bad either.

    	 Level|HP|Str|Mag|Skl| Spd|Lck|Def|Res|Mov|Class
    Draug	1|22| 6| 0| 2| 10| 1| 3| 0| 6|Fighter
    Draug	1|20| 6| 0| 2| 9| 1| 4| 0| 6|Pirate

      HP|Str|Mag|Skl|Spd|Lck|Def|Res|Class
    Draug 80| 45| 0| 35| 50| 30| 0| 0|Fighter/Warrior/Pirate/Berserker

Fighter sounds a lot more appealing here, but either way.

  10. That's five units in total, at the very, very best. Not like Gordin is getting much EXP, whilst Norne (if she were played) isn't getting much at all and Jagen's EXP acquiring rate thing is low so that means that the three cavvies and Marth are getting the EXP. The rest of your units don't have a prologue.

Not like Merric will have trouble catching up anyway.

  11. Why are we factoring in data transfer anyway? Seeing as alot of the "points" people bring up involve RNG abuse, they;re pretty much pointless. Also,[POR] Rhys' speed caps at 25, not 22. It averages at 21 for 20/20 and he's not going to get anywhere near there without bonus EXP[/POR].
I was thinking of his Skill sorry :<
  12. I don't think there's any reason why iron swords have one more use than other iron weapons. As far as I know, iron swords are only like that in FE6-9.
Correct me if I'm wrong but don't they have 40 uses in FE9?
  13. Not enough to heal and the chapters are fast paced.
"Not enough to heal?" Everytime you attack, you're guaranteed to take damage unless you critical. There's actually hit rate in this game, remember?
In a tier list, you want to complete as efficiently and as fast as possible.
    http://yaymarsha.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

That covers as fast as possible. Efficiency is not defined, however, seeing as we have no ranks to judge by.

Erm, we're talking about Chapter 10 and below?

You only get Physic and Mend. Physic is useful for later on, and Mend and Heal only give 22 exp or less. Impressive no doubt, but you won't have the chance to use it very much in a chapter.

Only 22 EXP or less? That's a guaranteed level up every five turns, two level ups every 9 turns, etc. Which is a lot considering how much EXP everyone else might get. It might slow down to a level up every 8 turns in the latter levels, but it's still quite a good rate.

Heals give 17 EXP at base, which is still a lot.

  14. Another one, why is Julian in upper mid, he has no combat ability. None. Marth can do the job for him, and you have an endless supply of keys from the online shop (which Marth can access from the convoy)
It sort of allows you to progress faster because Marth and your other units don't have to worry about chests. More on that when it's not 4:30 AM.
  15. Shadow Dragon is a shitload more modernized than FE1 was. Reclassing/Level 30/skipping random stuff are the "new features"; higher stat caps upon promoting, the new HP cap (as opposed to 52), forging, lord being the convoy, being able to conveniently change unit formation, buying weapons at base, and God knows what else are the ways stuff has changed from FE1 to DS. I'm sure there's more.

  16. So Elincia will be doubled by swordmasters only in part 4. And these will only be swordmasters in 4-E-2, since I can't remember there being any swordmasters with 30 speed in 4-2 (I had max speed Makalov and Kieran not being doubled, so...).
... doesn't Elincia have the defense and evade to not care? I imagine it'd be 50% (SM hit rates) on neutral biorhythm (it was around 30%ish with neutral biorhythm on my most recent NM playthrough, Elincia being around Level 3 BECAUSE OF FIXED PHYSIC EXP FROM PART 2) and I also imagine Amiti dealing a lot of damage. With her rate for activating Stun once in that time, at least, being around 40ish percent... so she can essentially one round once every 2 or 3 enemies.

Or you can, you know, have her be a flying heal and run person. Because that's always nice to have. Mist is the only other "heal and run" you're going to have, and she's in another team. Rhys and Laura are the others... it's up in the air which team they'll go to, but they don't have as much mobility as Elincia anyway. If you're going to care about Elincia's magic, just buy a recover staff; you have enough money by this point anyway.
