  1. I screwed up today. I got distracted and lost my first match and then distraction made me surrender on the preview screen on my second match leaving me with only 1 match for the day. I won it, but that only gave me 100 lift, leaving me at 1900. Been more lucky with defenses though, with 4 successful defenses in the last 48 hours. Though I'm abusing a combo of Guidance Aversa, Galeforce Slaying Lance Cordelia, Veronica and a ranged WoM dancer, which is pretty scummy :
  2. Better yet, I buy all 20 Masked Marth and get myself three +10 Lucinas. Though I'll need 4 more copies to get four +10 Lucinas. Also what are the odds of Lucina getting demoted if/when we get another mass demotions.
  3. Black Knight definitively : I already have him at +3 and with Bold Fighter from an extra Hardin spook, plus I recently got spooked by B!Ike so I can give him Steady Breath as well. And for Panic Ploy.I have 3 extra Luke that have been gathering dust since they pity broke me when I was looking for Katarina. Aside from him, Marisa, Michalis and Aversa are probably on top of the list. I'd be interested in Masked Marth since she's basically Lucina, but I'm still hoping I'll eventually get the two copies of her I'm missing to +10 her.
  4. I guess I can understand people hoping for more after all the questionable moves IS pulled in the past year, though for my part it just made me pretty much apathetic toward this game. Though me now having another gacha experience to compare and contrast Feh with probably helped me develop that apathy. Unless they give out grails in events other than Aether Raids, people will probably get 200k feathers way before they get enough grail to +10 a unit.
  5. My thoughts exactly. Instead of something to keep us invested, it will just be another thing to do once a day before closing the game. And to touch on your point about even more currencies, they didn't say anything about the purpose of the green divine dew we saw beside the aether stones, though my first guess is that it will probably be needed to upgrade your building above level 1. I can only hope Book 3 will bring a way to merge them up. I'd say their expectations were a bit high. I'd expect things like that from update 3.0 and there several hints before the channel that this was 2.11, so expecting massive changes like that is setting yourself up for disappointment.
  6. Ouch. I can understand where they come from though since my first reaction to this FEH channel was that it was underwhelming, grails aside.
  7. Having a way to get more merges for TT and GHB units is pretty nice. BK is the fist unit I'm gonna +10 since I'm only 7 copies short (so I'm gonna need 1550 Grails on top of the 200 given at the start. Speaking of Grails, first thought I had was Feh is ripping off FGO). It will also be nice to have easier access to skills like Brazen Atk/Spd and Infantry Pulse. Bit more ambivalent on Aether Raids. Sure it's finally another endgame mode, but it just seems to be a variant of arena down to bonus units, but now with building gimmicks on top of it. Not to mention that at the higher levels, you'll have the pleasure of facing a team with 2 more enemies than you. I really hope BST doesn't play a part, because it would really be Arena 2.0. I really hope my fears will be unfounded once I play the mode since it will probably be the only source of Grails for a while. Book 3 teaser was certainly foreboding.
  8. Honestly, after noticing the theme behind this banner, it's far from being uninspired. The biggest reason I have a problem with this banner is its timing. If we had gotten it next year after adding a good portion of the Fates characters currently missing from the game, I would have understood them adding 3 alts and a NPC since they would have less options for new additions to the roster. But considering that there's still a lot of Fates character missing from the roster, including a lot of units I like, I can't help but feel disappointed seeing a banner comprising mostly of alts, even if the art is amazing and I like the idea behind the banner. It also doesn't help that we had a Fates banner just 1.5 months ago while some other games haven't had banners for nearly a year if not more. At least the RD banner is coming and this banner will give me a chance to hoard orbs.
  9. I'm keeping my expectations low for this Feh channel since they haven't confirmed it was for 3.0 (and HTML seems to suggest it's for 2.11), but I've been slowly losing interest in this game for the past few months, so this vid and whatever 3.0 brings has to be really good for it to stoke my interest. @The Priest I really hope they don't announce 6 stars since they'll probably kill the game if they do so right after announcing a banner that got ton of backlash.Or at least, I'll give up on this game if they do.
  10. That's a good thing I'm taking from the latest banner announcement. I usually have trouble stockpiling orbs because I spend on every shiny new things, but I have low interest in this banner (low instead of none because the art is really good), so I'll be able to take all the paralogue and TT orbs and save them for the Tellius banner.
  11. Something else that could potentially add to the salt this banner is causing is the question of demotes. Since July, we've had 5 banners which added permanent units, for a total of 18 units and of those, only 3 got demoted (in bold) : Ylissean Travelers Sumia Maribelle Flier Olivia Libra Arrival of the Brave B!Ephraim B!Veronica B!Celica B!Hector Doorway to Destiny Quan Lewynn Silvia Nohrian Dusk Ophelia Flora Nina Silas Generals of Múspell Helbindi Laevatain Laegjarn Add to this that Brave Redux seems to be this year's Farfetched Heroes and if follows the same pattern as that banner by having no demotion, that would be 21 new heroes with only 3 demotions. And the Adrift banner seems really similar in its theme to the Fallen Heroes banner, which also had no demotion. Obviously it's too early to tell, but if both Heroes Redux and Adrift have no demotions, that will be 3 demotes for 25 new heroes. Sure we would have no demotes from banners we expected no demotions from, but I'm sure a lot of people would wish IS had spread those banners apart more evenly. If this turns out to be the case, I hope the next FEH channel or at least the one announcing update 3.0 will talk of a summoning pool revamp with tons of demotions.
  12. Just looked at what her Interlude does and going from 712.5% to 862.5% is a really nice buff. There's also the 20% reduced crit chances, but from what I heard it's not that great of an effect. Still I'm happy with more damage since it might help farming daily nodes with golden enemies that don't get insta-killed easily. Hunting quests are nice since I need all the mana prism I can get if I hope to gather the 3100 I'm missing to MLB Chaldea Lunchtime, which is apparently a big deal as far as limited shop CEs are concerned.
  13. I think the same honestly. But sadly this banner is just a perfect storm of all the most disliked trends regarding banners.
  14. Considering we're still missing 15 first gen char and 13 second gen characters from Fates, having a Fates banner with 3 alts and a NPC is really dumb. Easy skip for me, which is fine by me since I'll be able to save more orbs for the Tellius banner.
  15. What was your first Smash Bros game? Smash 64 Which Smash games have you played so far? All of them. What's your favorite Smash game? Brawl, though Smash 4 has my favorite roster. Who's your favorite character in the parts you have played? 64 : Pikachu Melee : Fox Brawl : Meta Knight Smash 4 : Lucina Who's your least favorite character in each part you have played? No one I really hate to play, but Jigglypuff has consistently been the character I had the least affinity with regards to play-style. What's your favorite Final Smash? Landmaster What's your favorite stage in each part you have played? 64 : Hyrule Castle Melee : Temple Brawl : Shadow Moses Island Smash 4 : Jungle Hijinxs What's your least favorite stage in each part you have played? 64 : Yoshi's Island Melee : Rainbow Cruise Brawl : Rumble Falls Smash 4 : Peach's Castle What's your favorite music theme in each part you have played? 64 : Congo Jungle theme Melee : Fire Emblem Brawl : Calling to the night Smash 4 : Star Wolf's theme What's your favorite mode in Smash overall? VS What's your favorite item? Banana Peel What's your favorite taunt? Probably Captain Falcon's Do you rather play alone or with friends? With friends What's your favorite free for one mode (time, stocks or coins)? Stocks What's the perfect Smash battle for you? (stage, characters, items (?) ) Random Character, Random Stage, all items on. Do you usually play with items? Yep. I love the chaos and unpredictability they bring. What has been the hardest challenge (events, all star mode...) for you? Event matches Are you excited for Smash Ultimate? Yep If so, in what are you the most excited for? Try out the new characters. In which new character are you the most excited for? All of them. Don't really have a particular pick. In which returning character (character who wasn't constantly in the cast since Melee) are you the most excited for? Snake and Wolf In which classic character are you the most excited for? Zelda What's your opinion about the Echo character? Good ways to implement more characters without requiring as much work from the developers. Any character you want to see in Smash, but hasn't made it into the cast yet? There's not really anyone I have a burning desire to see. A FE rep that doesn't use a Sword would be nice. In which videogame series did Super Smash Bros introduce you? Fire Emblem Have you ever built a stage? I messed around a bit with it, but never did anything serious. Could you imagine that Smash Ultimate that could become the final part of this series? I could very well see this as Sakurai's last Smash game, but I doubt Nintendo will stop the series considering how successful it is. Have you ever played competitive? Tried a bit of the online in Smash 4, but I never really got into it. With whom can you go under Final Destination? Never tried it. How much do you care for tierlists? Not at all. I play character I find fun. How would you describe your experience with the Smash Bros series in three words? Endless chaotic fun
  16. Finished the main quest of the event and I really liked the silly tone of the whole story. And as someone with all the pharaoh servants, the ending of the event was especially entertaining. I barely touched the Nerofest challenge quests, but the ones for this event are much more manageable and I'm already halfway through them Congrats on getting Nitocris. I've had her since I started and she's a god send for farming. Nuking 2 waves of enemies with back to back NP greatly speeds-up grinding nodes with weak enemies.
  17. When you did you start to play your first gacha? Back when FEH launched. Which game was your first gacha? FEH How many gachas have you played / started yet? 2, FEH and FGO What's your favorite gacha? FGO How many hours do you play gachas per day in average? Depends. Sometimes only 5 mins per day, but if there's an event going on in FGO, I can play several hours throughout the day. Have you spent money in gachas yet? Yep If you did spend it, was it a good pay off? In FEH, definitely not, especially in the first year of the game where I was a borderline whale. I spent way more than I want to admit only to get pity broken or get bad IVs. I got a better pay off in FGO since, I got Jack from a guaranteed gacha and the only other time I bought quartzs, it was just enough for 2 full rolls and it netted me NP2 Jalter and Cleo. What's your opinon about the the price for summoning material (orbs, quartz etc...)? Wish it was cheaper. How would you consider your general luck in summonings? I'd say above average. I'm sitting on 5 SSRs (one being NP2) and considering how bad the rates are in FGO and that I just started back in July, I think that's a pretty decent pool. FEH is more of a mixed bad. I've had really lucky pulls, but I had bout where I got tons of bad pity breakers and bad IVs without getting a single copy of the unit I want. What has been your best summoning / summoning session personally for you yet? Probably the single full pull I did on the 4 Million Downloads Jalter banner that netted me 2 Jalters and my 4th Nitocris. What's your opinion of the droprates in general? I'd appreciate if they were higher, but I've learned to live with what I get. Do you try to beat as many of these daily quests everyday, or do you rather only focus on quests with less time pressure? I only actively do them in FEH if there's an orb reward. For FGO, I do the weeklies, but I only do the dailies I need. What do you like about gachas the most? The collector aspect is interesting and the thrill of seeing a good roll is nice. What do you dislike about gachas the most? That the model is predatory by design. I want to mention FEH since I really dislike that due to the starting pool and how they demote units, Tellius fans such as myself have to spend way more resources to +10 our favorite units while FE13, Fates, Elibe and Archanea fans have access to way more low rarity units to build without having to sell their houses. Any mechanics you would like to see introduced in the future? FEH : Some way of dealing with cripplingly bad IVs More variety in the various game modes. A skill refinery shops or an overhaul of the starting skills of older units. A way to acquire merge fodder for the various free units. Being able to change back to a prior summoner support target without having to grind it all over again. FGO : Pity rates. Seeing stories of people spending thousands of quartz without a single SSR servant is heart-crushing. A better drop rates for ascension mats or a lower requirements of said mats. That the class training grounds only have a sub 30% chance of dropping a Secret gem is ridiculous. Any mechanics you would like to see dropped in the future? FEH : The current Arena mechanics that are all centered around reducing diversity in the name of making you spend for certain units and skills. Blessings, since their main use is to reduce your options in Blessed Grounds and in the arena and they're just another whale bait. Needing 11 copies of a single character to max them out. Any mechanics you would like to see transferred in the real series (like certain mechanics from Heroes in a future FE part)? The idea of class specific skills and of slot locked skills is interesting. Do you think gachas could endanger the videogame industry for being free? Nah. Any TV / videogame series you would like to see as a gacha? Nope. And I don't need anymore gachas How you would describe your experience with gachas in three words? Expect the worst
  18. I think it's completely valid to compare the most recent game in a series to its predecessors, but I think just saying 'this game is a bad 'X' game by itself doesn't give any valuable information and it's much better to just outright say something like "if you liked X series for this reason, this new game might disappoint you". If we take the Zelda example, just saying "Skyward Sword is a bad Zelda game" and "BotW is a bad Zelda game" don't mean anything since the first group is criticizing Skyward Sword's lack of exploration and linearity while the second group is criticizing BotW's lack of dungeons, so even though they're using the same criticism, their grievances lies with completely different things. Instead of saying 'Metroid Other M is a bad Metroid game', I think saying "if you like Metroid for the atmosphere of isolation and sense of exploration, you might want to skip other M since it's linear, focused on action and puts story front and center with lots of cutscenes and character interactions" would be more helpful for both Metroid fans and other people wondering about the game. And I think it's completely understandable that people might be adverse to change in a series of game they like, especially if the changes are major. I think it's understandable that Paper Mario fans are disappointed with the most recent games in the series since they ditched a lot of the charm of older games for cheap paper related gimmicks that negatively impact the gameplay. Though I must add that screaming at people that like the games in a series after a major change is pointless and toxic. I'm someone that often replays old games I really loved, so while I'd like more Zelda like OoT, more Metroids like Prime or more Paper Marios like TTYD, if the series is going in another direction, I still have OoT, Prime and TTYD to replay when I get the itch. Perfect example is the reaction of the Metroid fandom had when the first Metroid news Nintendo gave them after Other M was a spin-off multiplayer game. Federation Force might have not been a bad game, but the timing of its release made sure a lot of Metroid fans did not even give it a chance. Spin-offs are fine when a series is thriving with frequent release since fans of the core game often have something new to play with, but a spin-off being the first entry in a series after years of drought is a sure fire way of pissing off the fans. I can just imagine the F-Zero fandom's reaction if Nintendo announced a F-Zero beat 'em up spin-off with no news of a core F-Zero game.
  19. Most memorable is probably finally soloing Gogmazios with 3 seconds left on the clock for the G-Special urgent. Honorable mention to when I went back to Tri after playing through low-rank of 3U and all of 4U and Gen. Tri was my first experience with the franchise and I remember stopping because Great Jaggi fights went on forever and he kept killing me. At one point after Gen, I decided to boot Tri just for fun and decided to take a hammer (which I barely use) and go up against the Great Jaggi again. It was fun to see that even with an unfamiliar weapon and control scheme I was still able to destroy it without getting hit due to all the hours I spent playing the game and getting better since I first went against a Great Jaggi. Destroying my first Gore in Gen gave me a similar feeling since he was my first wall in 4U. Another HM goes to when I got poisoned and burned by a Rathalos and accidentally jumped off the cliff in Area 8 of the Deserted Island. My health dropped to 0 and while I heard my cat play a horn, I didn't think he had managed to use it before I hit the loading screen. So I was pleasantly surprised when I landed in Area 10 still poisoned and burning, but with enough health to heal from both.
  20. I haven't posted here since I first started playing the game so I'll post a little overview of my time with the game. -My luck with my first few pulls in terms of SR+s allowed me to blaze through the first few singularities, especially after I got Jack from the anniversary gacha and managed to get Da Vinci from her banner a short while latter. I stalled at Camelot since I didn't have enough resources to get any of my SRs and SSRs to a high enough level, only going far enough to unlock the chain grinding spot (since Nito and Ozy required them). -The summer and Prisma event went well and both of their SR servants were appreciated, especially Chloe since I didn't have a SR Archer. -Nero event was a godsend with its lottery since it allowed me to 4th ascencion and even hit level cap with several servants, finally giving me more options to tackle harder content, though I still wasn't able to beat any challenge quests except for the one against Siegfried. -From there, I was finally confident enough in my teams to complete Camelot (Stheno and Euryale really helped against Galahad). -School made it so I couldn't spend as much time on Halloween, but I was still able to empty the shop and MLB Halloween Princess as well as snagging two Little Halloween Devil. Which brings me to today where I decided to do a 10-pull of the Jalter banner. I honestly was expecting nothing so I was quite shocked when this was the result : So as far as my pull history for SR servants is concerned I have : Carmilla NP3 Stheno NP4 Nitocris Ozymandias Jack the Ripper Da Vinci NP2 Jalter For some reason, my only spook have been copies of SRs I already have. I'm glad for more Nitocris, but I'd probably would have burned the 2 Sthenos if I had known Rare prisms were a thing. It's also kind of funny how all my pulled SRs bar Jalter have been from the cavalry classes minus Berserkers. At least, I have usable 3* units for the knights and berserkers, with Bedivere, Euryale, Chloe, Cu and Kiyohime. Also, finally maxing Mash by completing Camelot really boosted her effectiveness. I also managed to build a decent pool of good craft essences so I should be set for a while.
  21. I'm so glad to hear the full battle theme at last after constantly replaying the little snipets that appeared in trailers. It's sooo good! Also, the theme for Gormott was released as well : I think I love it more than the original Gormott theme. I'm really digging the jazz style they went for in this OST.
  22. I sent invites to a couple of people from SF. If I missed some people that wishes to add me, my FC is 292,726,441 and UN is Lux. Also, I managed to scrounge up enough resources to do one last ticket pull from the Camelot banner and was rewarded with this : I'll consider this as a combination of beginners luck and a welcome present. I also got Imaginary Around earlier, which I gathered is a good CE for Quick users, so I might try it on Carmilla. Thanks for all the advice. I only use OP supports when I'm doing the daily farm quests or when there's no story support available. I do think I'll remember the fight against Jeanne Alter more considering I struggled against her using story Jeanne instead of a level 90 Iskandar so I'll continue with that mentality going forward.
  23. A big thank you to everyone who chimed in to give tips. I decided to not reroll and persevere with what I got. I was able to complete Orleans yesterday which allowed me to do a couple of pulls from the Friend banner as well as one more pull from the Camelot banner. Quick question regarding Craft Essence, I managed to snag 4 copies of Origin bullet and was wondering if I was better off merging them or keeping the various copies to spread it around. From that, I was able to get a line-up that looks good enough : - Saber : Ceasar. I actually just pulled him from a ticket so I haven't had the chance to test him out, but he's rated higher than Fergus on @The Priest tier list so I'll give him a try. - Lancer : I managed to pull Cu Chulainn prototype so I'll try using him instead of Romulus for a while to see what works. - Archer : David's worked very well in Orleans in conjunction with Nitocris and Jeanne thanks to all of them having a big focus on Arts cards. I'll probably swap him for Robin Hood to see how they compare. - Rider : Ushiwakamaru is still the best rider I have at the moment, but I haven't used her all that much for now. - Caster : Nitocris was extremely helpful in Orleans thanks to her NP despite all the rider dragons. I managed to get a second copy of her on my second pull, which made her NP even more useful. I see that she'll probably fall behind at one point due to being more focused on farming and that all her upgrades mats are farmable way down the line in story mode. If she does, I'll probably try replacing her with Hans, whom I just got from the free friend summon of the day. - Assassin : Carmilla's been pretty good, though a bit squishy during my times in Orleans. I spent sometime farming the daily quests today however and managed to bring her up to level 27 which doubled her HP. Hopefully that - Berserker : I managed to pull Lu Bu and his damage output has been insane. Probably couldn't have beaten the final boss of Orleans without him dealing tons of damage despite being low leveled at the time.
  24. So I decided to jump into this game out of curiosity, but I pretty much know zilch about the game and my Gacha knowledge starts and ends with FEH. I do know the basics from the tutorial, but more tips would be appreciated. And from FEH, I know getting a good start with your first pulls can really help further down the road and as such had question regarding what I got from mine. Aside from the tutorial pull, I played enough to do another full one and was wondering if what I got was worth keeping or if I'm better off re-rolling and if that's the case, what should I look for in my re-rolls. Tutorial Pull : Second Pull :
  25. I honestly thought at one point they should have had a dedicated Smash direct to go over all the changes or at least show all those small changes in the Treehouse portion and just keep the big reveals for the E3 direct. Would have been better to keep the non-hardcore Smash player interested.
