I don't think there's any saving male corrin. He looks stupid no matter how you customize him, and female body 1 isn't much better. But I did like the crazy afro she can get. I've always joked that because female corrin > male, it's reverse here, but to each their own. Are they pigtails? They've always looked weird.

Idk. Seems like steels might not be worth the effort, offensively or defensively. Unless the character is slow by default and doesn't care, like Dedue.

She looks so out of place and thrown in. I have a guess that the game originally didn't intend for her to be a thing (Byleth is closer to a dragon quest protagonist than an avatar) and the male version was intended to be the only one or primary focus. By the time they decided on including playable female byleth, they had to redo the animations and CGI. Might also explain why she's a bit more expressive during in-game model cutscenes.

Gender hardly has any bearing on that. All I care about is if Edelgard is likable. Plenty of lead males have been bad in fire emblem, like Shadow Dragon Marth, Roy, and the avatars. Granted, we've had bad female lords too. Maybe I'm afraid we'll be stuck with another Azura. Though I doubt Edelgard will be remotely as uninteresting and stupid.

Hearing rumors of no S supports aside from Byleth seems so weird. Character's like Lorentz and Sylvain have flirtatious characters that not having romance possible feels like a wasted opportunity, and makes Byleth's special case of romance stand out in a bad way. I'm not asking for a dating sim here, I just like romance in my stories. It's not the end of the world or anything, and for all I know it hasn't been verified (I'd appreciate it if someone did tho)

We're bound to get a sort of sequel to it, either directly or how Awakening and Fates are connected. But I'm willing to bet the next entry is another Echoes. So many references to FE4 are in this game that it's impossible to ignore.

Don't get me started on how much I hate the platonic endings in Sacred Stones. FordexEirika, CormagxTana, L'arachelxRennac, supports that have way more chemistry than their romantic ones, yet don't have romantic endings, it's pretty derp. Aside from potentially AshexAnnette and RaphaelxLeonie, nothing's set in stone and I'd like to read the supports first.

Thanibombs leak heavily implied that Hilda has a crush on Claude. She's probably that route's Dedue and Hubert, loyal to the lord and not recruitable. But that's just my guess.

I'm gonna assume no weapon will have innate brave effects aside from gauntlets to make it unique. Combat arts, I can definitely see coming back. There was almost no reason not to use Double Lion even over the 2 range one, so I hope they balance them here. Brave Magic is stupid and should never be a thing ever. Leave Dire Thunder and Gale-spam in the past.

Warlock Hubert has so much swag. NPC Jeralt confirms he's around for at least the school chapters. Also Casper's gauntlet special attack was only one hit even though gauntlets have a brave effect, so looks like they are prioritized. General Edelgard sounds fun. Nothing like a low move slow lord. Also I appreciate all these previews picking Black Eagles so I'm not too spoiled on the other houses I plan to start with.

Why does Byleth look pissed off when the guys are chatting to her? Maybe it's just her model, looks odd. I think Dimitri sounds too deeply mellow compared to Christian who has a bit more high strung tone. But that's just what I gather from his Seliph.

These bios are literally the translated twitter bios anyway. I've read them enough to know Raphael loves work and hates lectures. For some reason, it's not showing the age difference part in Mercedes and as such, her bio is pretty short compared to the others.
