  1. I'd be interested of course, but the reason people purchase SMM is because they want to make "Mario" levels and distribute them via official platform. You don't seem to understand the concept of "irony". ;)
  2. Packers out yay. They're like cockroach, survive even nuke, so the opponent must stomp them hard. I hope Steelers beat Broncos, Peyton is done and a zillionth Broncos-Patriots chapter would be really boring, Pats would steamroll them for sure.
  3. Yeah I forgot Awakening's AI is basically "suicidal rush towards weakest player unit to kill and force restart". :/ This makes the AI dumb but also makes things more tense because, while all of the AI's units are expendable (except for boss in certain maps), none of the player's units are, if you play on Classic mode.
  4. Thanks for your work, I hope you find joy in your path from now on. :)
  5. Chapter 6 (many choke points and strategic positioning), Chapter 14 (choice between boss rush or getting all the loot), and most Chapters with forts or fort-like spots that spawn enemy reinforcements, like Chapter 5 and Chapter 21, because careful unit positioning can help you a lot. Though, to make Chapter 21 better, I'd probably make Mire more accurate but less powerful, the idea being that the mages in the corners slowly chip away at your units while the men in the shrine do the heavy fighting. Chapter 3 is actually pretty interesting on Lunatic as well, because on that mode the idle soldiers in the side opposite to where you went will start rushing towards you after a couple turns, so you can't turtle like on Hard and below.
  6. LOL I haven't changed it yet. I wanted to use DLC!Cordelia, I think that's alright since it's official artwork.
  7. I've seen a few people with those... What's the general consensus of the Serenes Forest staff on what is allowed and what isn't? Of course, people can just hide my sig if they feel it inappropriate and the rules explicitly forbid nudity. But what constitutes "nudity" apart from the more obvious examples? I don't want to go overboard should I choose to have artwork like this in my account.
  8. SMM was a fantastic idea and, judging by the interviews of some Nintendo devs, Nintendo is so backwards about emulation they pay zero attention to the homebrew level-making scenes of the NES, SNES and N64 Mario games. The cynical in me believes they did SMM to bring homebrew devs to their playground, but somehow I can't help but feel it may also have been a little bit coincidental. SMM is effectively an SDK for 2D Mario games. If I were Nintendo I'd market it as such and make it more and more powerful (and charge for each update, of course). The 2D Mario games have long been just a side thing for Nintendo, they barely have any story and barely advance the Mario lore.
  9. Questions: 1) Is there a text string editor already? 2) Is it possible to give Vaike back his awesome manly muscular body after reclass to Berserker? 3) Is it possible to fix that annoying bug in American release which randomly resets Japanese voices to English? Euro version is a later release in which this was fixed. 4) Is it possible to hack digital (eShop) release?
  10. What's the schedule? Do they play 24 hours a day? Watching AGDQ has become a pastime of mine. So many legendary runs. :D Sadly my ISP sucks when streaming from Twitch. :(
  11. Throughout the game, Validar is supposed to be a believer of the "this is the way it's supposed to happen" idea. Probably he wasn't meant to die yet, much like in Chapter 6. It was not due to the gemstones since Basilio replaced them with fake ones.
  12. The West has its share in Africa's poverty, but the various native groups fight amongst themselves a lot and these fights reflect the bigger fights happening in the world at the time they occur. Africa was no stranger to the Cold War, for example. Various countries were ruined by conflict between communists and capitalists.
  13. I'll take a hinch here but it seems like Rey was supposed to be some sort of "canvas" to the fan/viewer. That's why she (and Finn) knew so much about how things worked. But it was also lame because she's unrealistically strong. Luke was a wuss until RotJ.
  14. Charmander master race of course, it's a Nuzlocke, we follow these to watch people cry blood. :D
  15. I love Tharja's humor. She's funny in a macabre way. She's not just a hot body IMO.
  16. Before going the 4K route you need to ask yourself if you actually "need" 4K. 1080p looks pretty damn good and you can play around with antialiasing settings.
  17. It's not out of the ordinary if besides a scavenger she's a tinkerer, but we're never shown anything she's built herself. Luke's piloting background is also poorly explained, but we at least "know" he's been to some sort of flight school or something like that since a couple Rebels recognize him as a pilot they've been familiar with and could use. Her understanding droid language I attributed to "characters in Star Wars always understand this droid gibberish and it doesn't really matter".
  18. The lack of a coherent system behind the Force is what allows every SW writer to pull things out of their ass when designing characters, similar to HP. The hero will always win, but you don't have to make it too obvious.
  19. There's no reason for Chrom to be playable in Smash because he's the same thing as Lucina, so he was given a supporting role. It was purely for gameplay reasons. Smash 4 didn't need yet another Marth clone. And it also may have had something to do with Sakurai not being the genius the Smash fans think he is and not being able to craft anything to set Marth, Lucina and Chrom apart. Chrom is the face of 3DS Fire Emblem. The vast majority of the female players marry him and he got a fanservice DLC for being popular. Do you really believe Nintendo would be stupid to the point of not capitalizing on it?
  20. An overhyped film from a franchise that shouldn't have been rebooted brought down by unrealistic character development, terrible villains and overdone plot devices (seriously, they destroy a Death Star-style planetoid for the THIRD time?). The Star Killer was such blatant fanservice that JJ didn't even bother to film intense dogfights and convey the tension of having it threaten to vaporize not only your own planet but your entire solar system. He instead focused on the Rebels escaping from the Imperial base, Han Solo and Kylo Ren's chitchat and the Mary Sue-ification of Rey. I had some fun watching it but I doubt I'll go back to it.
  21. It's something that deserves to be saved for the future. That's exactly how it is, and it applies to all games ever made. The problem is when the player doesn't like the game's rules, but that's due to taste, really. I used to play shooters trying my best not to take damage, but if you're into speedrunning, you'll need to tell realism to screw itself and take a couple bullets. Doesn't matter if you'd be dead IRL, you won in the game, the game is not IRL. In Goldeneye you're sometimes encouraged to take hits from behind to speed yourself up. Doesn't matter if "it's not how Bond would do it". It's what wins in the game, and the game has its own rules. My issue with Lunatic+ is that they added RNG to the enemy units' stats themselves, so there's no way of knowing what you're getting into before a map loads. It's clever, but may make some missions impossible. :P
  22. It depends on what kind of balance we speak of. But generally harder difficulties are supposed to be imbalanced and require cheese to beat, since finding what works best is part of learning how to beat the game. That's why I don't bother with the really hard modes anymore unless it's like in the old N64 Rare shooters where you'd only know the "complete" mission if you played on the hardest level. Still, in those games there was a reward... All that suffering on the hardest difficulty unlocked a mode where you controlled the AI's difficulty while playing the hardest mission modes. Sweet stuff! :D
  23. In your case it won't be called an "upgrade", but a "replacement". The kind of stuff you can buy new for cheap these days will require you to build something from scratch.
  24. Normal/Classic is not the easiest difficulty in the game, so it's not "shameful". :P The easiest difficulty in the games can have merit even to seasoned players. In Serious Sam (a PC shooter), for example, it's called "Tourist". You're invincible (you take damage but heal faster than you get hurt) and you have double the amount of ammo available to you. Its point however is not to beat the game but to let you know the levels, secrets, etc. without being bothered by dying. It's an exploration sort of difficulty, hence "Tourist". Plenty of players actually use cheats in their first playthrough so they know enemy and item placement. You should do what you have fun with. Normal/Classic is probably the most balanced difficulty in the game, if you think about it! (to the people saying Awakening is "imbalanced": the second difficulty is called "Hard" for a reason, there's nothing imbalanced about a "Hard" difficulty that's, well, hard)
  25. I haven't studied genetics in a long time, but if each living being had some sort of "genetic lock" to prevent us from mixing with our kin, we would subconsciously but chemically and biologically reject it. However, there's also the moral element, but the immorality of incest is nothing more than a rational construct which stems from the observation of its negative biological consequences and does not mean you can't feel attracted to your kin. In fact, if you were trapped with your opposite gender siblings on an island with no hope of ever returning to civilization, it's possible you'd engage in sexual activity with them and have offspring since it's the only way your particular band of people would be able to survive, even if not ideal since incestuous offsprings have a high chance of being plain inferior.
