  1. It is stored as a graphic, yes. But that doesn't mean the devs drew it by hand.
  2. 1. If you can't make that strat work, then just tank on a fort with Fred on a low-Hawkeye map and hope for dodges. That strat requires a good deal of improvisation at the end to work. 2. Fair enough. 3. I'm not seeing anyone who would be super great on that list. One of the children you can certainly do, but unless you're grinding Morgan is going to come very late as a result. Olivia is probably the best, thanks to giving good starting classes and having the option to dance to get her bases up, but she won't ever be a great combat unit.
  3. I don't know about the title font. The main text font, though, is called ChiaroStd-B, and is the same one used in OoT3d and MM3d if you have a use for that instead.
  4. Revelations wasn't patchable on 10.5 anyway though. I'm sure new ways will be found soon, but it's not the If team who will be doing them, and there are still a few ways that work right now, if you updated (namely OoT and Ninjhax).
  5. Back in Super Paper Mario, Intelligent Systems made fun of people complaining about games they haven't played, and I guess it's coming back to bite them. Because if you had played it, you'd know that there aren't any voices in the supports. The supports will be done eventually, but more people care about the undub, names and Amie so those are bigger priorities.
  6. That was my intent, yes. Games have a lot more to them than voice acting. If the JP version didn't exist and the NA version was exactly as it is now, then the NA version would be the "authentic" experience, even completely unchanged. Authenticity for the sake of authenticity is silly- while the JP version has many subjective advantages over the NA one, it being authentic has no bearing on how good it is either. And if an issue like voice acting is enough to make the NA version unplayable, all the authenticity in the world isn't going to save the JP version from issues of similar scope in different places. If you can't deal with issues of that scope, the JP version won't satisfy you.
  7. You'll need to set up Homebrew, but you have all the hardware you need to do that. If your game is the JP version you can play right away once you've set things up, but if it's the localized version the patch isn't ready just yet. Installing Homebrew: That's a shame. Just so you guys know, if your expectations of this game are so high that one small aspect of it being imperfect can make it not worth playing, you might as well save your time and not even bother with the game at all, patched or not- it has plenty of (major) unrelated issues this patch won't do anything to change. For that matter, you might as well give up games alltogether, because nothing's going to meet expectations that high. The patch is very nice and for many people is a definite improvement to the game, but if you react that badly to perceived flaws, it's not going to be enough to make it playable. So chill and appreciate the game for what it is, k?
  8. Yeah, that's been the default way of doing it for several months now. The OP just hasn't been updated for some reason, even though the patcher linked in it is already meant for hans and homebrew.
  9. By WoK he means The Stormlight Archive, which really is fantastic (though I'm not sure how similar it is to the backstory you listed, aside from being high fantasy). Blackthorn.
  10. You know, it would be really neat if that wasn't the answer. I've done a lot of looking on my own for xorpad information and it's far easier to find downloads for them (which I'm sure you wouldn't want) than it is to find how to get them without a cfw. I'm willing to hazard a guess that a lot of people who try to find the solution on their own run into that too, so indirectly you're promoting piracy by not at least giving people something to get started on with the xorpads. I've got a copy-paste hans tutorial I've been throwing around for a while now, and the only hole in it is where to get the xorpads.
  11. It's a bigger loss dropping from Sage to Sorc than it is dropping from Ricken to Henry/Libra, for comparison. I'm fond of passing Lancefaire as a second female-only skill myself. It's something he might feasibly end up using.
  12. You're in a good position to get her to 20/15. It's definitely worth waiting for the extra ten levels, they'll make the latter part of Dark Flier much easier and she'll be a useful combat unit all the way through endgame. For reference, if no concessions are made whatsoever, there's (barely) enough exp in the game to get both Sumia and Cordelia to 20/15, with Robin/Chrom husbands, in time to get all four children with GF before Cht.14, even on Lunatic+. Sumia alone, with greater training opportunities due to not having to avoid L+ skills, will have a much easier time of it. It's also absolutely worth it.
  13. Hans not playing well with digital versions isn't something the team has control over, unfortunately.
  14. By "testers", do you mean accepting feedback from players of the demo, or handing out trial copies of XNA? If the former, sure, just post in this thread. If the latter... Might as well be no.
  15. Public service announcement: stop insulting the localized version. If the base game was really that bad, nobody would care enough to improve it, but that's obviously not the case since the translation team have dedicated so much time and effort to doing so. If you're above 9.2, you just can't run cfws period. It's not a matter of whether Nintendo will block you or not. Patching the DLC is hard and we don't officially support it. If you want to sort through what needs to be done to make it work on your own, you're welcome to try. If you're not interested in patching the DLC, you shouldn't have any need for cias.
  16. Maybe. Assuming the saves are compatible, you can do that, but there's no guarantee they will be. If they aren't, there's not much you can do.
  17. 1. You're not saying that Morgan came from Lucina's timeline, yet your train of logic suggests that Morgan did come from Lucina's timeline, but then you present evidence against Morgan coming from Lucina's timeline? What exactly is your position, then? 2. I sure hope Morgan remembers Robin as being older than the one in the present. Morgan hasn't been born yet in the present, Morgan should have no way to remember this Robin. And yes, it definitely is just a theory. If the devs hadn't wanted it to be ignored, it would be presented up front and not buried under a pile of optional convos within optional maps. 3. Narratively, giving the book isn't required for those things to happen. I'm talking about the specific act of giving the book, not the convo as a whole. 4. I'm not extremely fond of getting into interpretations of the tone behind individual lines (events in them, sure, but not tone). You have to extrapolate a bit too much for comfort to get anything out of them, there's always a danger something could have been lost in translation, maybe the dude writing it wasn't even paying attention etc. But for the sake of debate, if all Morgan remembers is a smiling happy Robin, that wouldn't be very indicative of a bad future, so they'd be justified in being skeptical (beyond the initial premise of coming from the future at all, which should be a bigger shocker). Oh, there's no way CoY has anything to do with FP. Hubba pretty much states that the Einherjar maps are all their own worlds. Any connections between the other DLC maps are probably just food for thought/headcanon fuel/whatever. Like I said before, a big part of Awakening's design philosophy is staying out of the player's way, but giving them stuff to go on should they want it.
  18. Luna + Astra > Luna > Astra > Lethality. Lethality's activation rate is just too low to be useful.
  19. Finally, you mention multiple times that Robin hypothesizes that Morgan came from a peaceful timeline. Here's the actual script from the end of Par.12: And here's Morgan's ending (the relevant bit doesn't change based on pairing or gender): Neither of those mention anything about it being a peaceful future, just a different one. And that lines up perfectly with Morgan coming from FP.
  20. Yeah, -Lck decreases both Atk stats. While not by much, it is by some, and some is enough to quantify none as better than it. It also bothers me ingame because I like AT and -Lck ruins your chances of getting that realistically going any time soon.
  21. Really? I'm fairly sure it wasn't, since I recall there being a lot of attempted "balance" patches that broke HM by adding it back in... Unless I'm remembering something very wrong.
  22. Indeed you can. It should work exactly the same way as on an o3ds or o3ds XL. The n3ds is slightly more bothersome because you either have to unscrew it to access the SD card or mess around with Nintendo's wifi file transfer stuff, but in terms of hacking it's pretty much the same.
  23. Well, you need some copy of the game, but 2dses can run the patch just fine.
