  1. The whole point of the patch (as of tomorrow) is for people who want nothing to do with the localization.
  2. I don't know if that's a joke or not, but what does it have to do with this patch?
  3. As long as your homebrew entrypoint still works in 10.5, it's fine to update, the delocalization patch will work the same way as the translation one. Though you will need a cfw if you ever want to patch the DLC.
  4. There will be a "cleaned up" version of the NA supports inserted into the JP version. That's the plan, at least.
  5. Binding Blade doesn't have True Hit. 90% misses happen all the time there.
  6. It's an assumption I'm making about what Morgan would assume, I guess. If you were the kind of person who likes keeping backups, knew you had amnesia, and had a backup you didn't remember making, wouldn't you assume you made it too? Morgan does remember Robin, though definitely not everything about them- if, say, Morgan remembered things about Robin's interaction with the rest of the world, then Morgan could tell about the world from that, but they can't. They probably remember Robin and what they were like, what they looked like, how they acted etc, but not any explicit things they did. The closest precedent for Robin is FE4 Julius, though it's still extremely unlikely they worked exactly the same way. As I see it, there are two parts to Grima: the vessel, and the mind/power. Robin's blood is sufficiently concentrated (or something) to be Grima's vessel, but there's still some outside part of Grima- probably linked to that massive dragon- that's different. Otherwise, the whole thing about sealing Grima away (but allowing Robin to live) vs killing it and letting Robin die would make no sense. Either way, after the good ending it's fairly clear that Grima can't come back no matter what, blood or not. The law of conservation of detail applies to any work of fiction. For that matter, it applies to nonfiction as well (it wouldn't be very relevant to talk about wetland restoration in a documentary on lunar landings, for example). Any work that intends to convey a story, basically. As for it not being presented to every player... Games with extra content just tend to work that way. As a reward for exploration and delving into optional content, you're frequently rewarded with bits of lore and backstory thrown in. It's certainly not forced on you, and the ability to kill FP Morgan is probably part of why that is. It's worth mentioning that Awakening's style revolves around staying out of the player's way and letting them fill things in with their own headcanons- you're obviously not supposed to and even can't get all the supports in one playthrough, for example. So if you want to piece together the bad future and Morgan's backstory, the stuff you need to do it is out there, and if you don't care, or are happy with your own explanation, it stays out of your way and even leaves itself open to interpretation in the event that you do find it. The devs were almost definitely intending to imply, to people who cared, that Morgan came from FP. They definitely weren't trying to make sure everyone knew about it.
  7. There won't be a patch to insert the NoA script into the JP version, if you want the localized script you'll need to get the NA version. This is due to copyright stuff.
  8. Seeing as the main thing holding the project back before was the lack of reliable tools, if they can do that much it must mean they've got new tools, which means the rest of the project shouldn't take too long at all.
  9. The original (anything else, and censorship people will be furious). But the script restoration will be optional, you can just change the names, audio, other stuff and leave NoA's script as-is if you want.
  10. Indeed. I like Lunatic+ enough as-is, but Hard+ would be magnificent. Plenty more room for experimentation and playing with the units you want, and moreover it would actually reinforce good strategies that would help on Lunatic+, while giving you room to still pass if you don't get them perfect.
  11. That tutorial is garbage, it hasn't been updated in months because apparently the team really likes answering questions themselves. You can use it just fine on the latest firmware like this:
  12. Up to date? The version in the OP is the latest version, if that's what you mean. It's a fairly sizable fanwork so there are plenty of errors and bugs and the like, and only 10% of the supports are done. There's a bug reporting link in the OP, though, and submitting stuff you catch there is the best way for it to get fixed in an update.
  13. There aren't any good red haircolors without hacking though.
  14. +Mag/-Def? Great. Make her a Valkyrie, give her a Sage. She's fine with a Galeboy or a hard support.
  15. Here's the thing about those "random" skills, though- they're only random before the map has generated. Once it has, before you even choose who to deploy, you know what they are, and they never add more randomness to the map- each and every one of them will, depending on the situation, either always activate for the same effect, or do absolutely nothing. Thus, by carefully controlling the flow of the battle, you can deal with them entirely through tactics. In theory, at least. In practice, a bunch of stuff that's already present in vanilla Lunatic- random AI movements, listed crit, imperfect Hit/DS, random growths and the like- can still screw you over, and has a greater chance of doing so when you're more limited in your approach by the Lunatic+ skills. But they're still totally manageable if you know what you're doing (see my sig for proof). The other big problem with the mode is that, while you can deal with them through tactics, an average player has no way of knowing what those tactics are, since the lower difficulties not only don't teach you them, but go out of their way to teach you strategies that will get you killed in Lunatic+. You can only figure out what to do if you're either a prodigy or talk to someone who already knows themself.
  16. It's not an issue of him lying. If he had two copies on him when he came back, but no memory of how he got them, he'd probably just assume that's why he has them. It's totally in character and way simpler than "my time-travelling, world-hopping mom came and gave the other to me". Lissa's support just mentions a new book- it doesn't say anything about there being multiple copies. In fact, if there were multiple copies, Robin probably wouldn't be so mad at her. I cited the release date to show they were developed at the same time, and thus similarities are much less likely to be differences. Robin disappearing in the ending: it's not Grima's blood, it's actually being Grima, they're the same person. Validar is pretty clear that even though he himself has a ton of Grima blood, he's not Grima, but Robin is. Morgan just isn't either. FP Morgan's gender: there are two Morgans in FP, one male and one female. The one with a different gender than yours recognizes Robin as Grima and warps away, but Robin doesn't recognize them. The one with the same gender as your Morgan (aka the Morgan you recruit) Robin recognizes, stops them before they warp away, and talks with for a while. An important point I'd like to reiterate is the law of conservation of detail: in real life, it would be quite easy to assume the two books are a coincidence. This is not so in a story, because those events had to be inserted deliberately and thus have a reason for being in the story. So it's not a question of whether it's easier to assume the two books are a coincidence, it's a question of whether it makes more sense to assume the writers put the books in completely by accident, or because they wanted to demonstrate Morgan's past. While this isn't technically proof that Morgan did come from the future, it's an implication, and it answers questions- it makes more sense and furthers the narrative if it's true than it does if it's a coincidence. Yeah, but if you're assuming Morgan was given the book in the future, there's no reason why it wouldn't be the FP future- assuming it was a different one answers nothing, adds more complexity and isn't implied anywhere. Lucina's future (the original timeline) is very different. Valm held off their invasion, the war with Plegia lasted much longer, etc. FP is identical to the player's timeline up until the point of the game over. So yes, that's true. He never changed allegiance in any timeline. He started neutral, just the lord of Chon'sin. In the present, he sided with Walhart when Walhart came knocking, in Lucina's future he opposed him. This probably happened around when the game's Plegia arc occurs, since Virion escapes from Rosanne shortly before. Him meeting one of the children in the present and deciding to protect Say'ri as a result is possible, but there's also not much suggesting it other than that it makes sense.
  17. Are you using a NA 3ds? Homebrew allows you to bypass the region lock for playing games, but it doesn't actually change your system region. You need a JP 3ds (or a cfw that supports region changing) to access the JP online features.
  18. Perhaps he did. We don't actually know anything about what the population centers in Awakening's world look like, he might have had plenty of good hunting, or just small villages the whole continent across. The future kids definitely are well-traveled, though- it's known that they've at least been to Plegia prior to coming back.
  19. You need a decently sized SD card, but no flashcards or anything. Streetpass should work normally. eShop should still work, but you'll only be able to access the one for your region so no JP DLC or anything. Also you can't patch the DLC (easily) so anything you get may or may not have the patch effects.
  20. Well, the future children are somewhere around 18-20 years old, with some of those years spent in a prolonged Valm war and some spent after that. I just divided it up around half and half, so that's why I say 10- it could have been 15 and 5, or something. There has to be at least some time for the childrens' parents to get picked off one by one, though. And the mental state they're (at least implied to be) in indicates that it didn't happen yesterday. As to why he's probably not at full power, look at the cutscene of his attack on future Ylisstol. If he could do that right off the bat, why wouldn't he? He can fly, it's not like anyone could have done anything to stop him.
  21. Morgan: Asset/Flaw? Cynthia: Gerome or Yarne for Paladin, Brady, Owain, Laurent or Yarne for Sniper. Severa: Gerome for Hero/Paladin, Yarne for Hero/Paladin/Sniper, Inigo for BK. Nah: Brady, Owain or Inigo. Definitely Hero. Kjelle: Gerome, Yarne or Inigo. Probably Wyvern Lord. Noire: Yarne for BK, Laurent, Owain or Brady for Sniper.
  22. Do they still do that if they're dead? I've never checked. It's because branched dialogue takes twice as long to write for the same cutscene value per playthrough, so they want to limit places where it needs to occur. Writing a plot arc for a character with the possibility they'll be dead and it won't happen? Way too much work. Though Awakening's design philosophy of having everything revolve around the MCs comes in too. It's not entirely unjustified, either- who wants to go through a plot arc about a character they didn't use or dislike? That could even mess casual players up by "forcing" them to either rotate their teams or stick to the same units every time, in order to keep the units who are in the spotlight trained up and on the map.
  23. Well, it's less of an issue of how quickly he got revived and more of an issue of how long it took him to regain his power after being revived. Future Grima took a long time- around 10 years. Present Grima presumably took much less (though we don't know for sure, as he never does anything and gets wiped out pretty fast).
  24. First, you'll need to wait a few weeks after release, since those patches will take a little time to make. Probably not too long, but they won't be available on release. To patch the game once everything's ready:
