If he doesn't proc speed a few times, wielding the Hand Axe causes him to miss doubling on a lot of enemies (especially mid-game.) Good thing mine has gotten 3 Spd procs in 4 levels, then. Marcus made Pascal sit on a fort, and weakened him enough for Kent to kill, allowing him to run through to seize the north castle on turn 4. He then went east. Lucius soloed the south (never killed the boss, but w/e) while Hawkeye walked across the water and burned through 102984 hand axes. Farina moved north on turn 6, got the village on turn 7, while Hawkeye killed the boss and Marcus got the castle. Kent and Becca promoted, Lucius would have, but I realized that I don't have a guiding ring, so I'll have to grab the one from the chest next chapter. Hector tanked out wyverns for the first half of the chapter, then gtfo'd so Hawkeye could lure Vaida in so Farina could go grab some shine tomes, Elfire tomes, and Mend staves. Lucius and Kent sat on the south forts while Farina grabbed the hammerne. Marcus made sure Becca didn't die killing stuff in the southwest. Kent is eerily similar to Isadora and Rebecca is eerily similar to Louise. Marcus carried Matthew to the tresure room, and dropped him once it was safe (aka he killed everything). Pent stood outside and killed Wyverns, and healed Ninian with Physic when nescessary. Ninian got an angelic robe prior to this chapter so she could take a hit from that annoying purge bishop. Kent, Lucius and Farina went west, then realized that they couldn't get in the building, which was probably a good thing, as the hero would have raped them all. Hawkeye killed the general for a speedwing, then guarded Merlinus from the wyverns. The other thieves netted me the talisman. Didn't wait a turn for the brave sword. I chipped with Marcus and got Wolt an Roy kills. Wolt got a good level up, Roy got a bad level up Chapter 2 15/26 turns Having Merlinus is always nice as he is a great distraction and he doesn't really die. I beat the chapter on turn 15. You could have noted that. I didn't want to change your list order even with stuff like Matt/Legault, especially since I was drafting directly after you. I didn't want you to feel like I made any judgement calls about your team. Also, first update in a long time, mostly due to working a lot this week. Chapter 19x: 5/80 Rushed Marcus. Got XP. Visited the Goddess Icon Village with Canas. I forgot to take screenshots. Chapter 20: 11/91 :( I hate that I took this long, but I NEEDED to recruit Legault for the Guiding Ring because I have two mage promotions and only two legal guiding rings (unless I take a penalty to steal one). That necessitated going west and slowed me down, but oh well. I don't think I will win anyway, I am just doing this for fun and challenge! Marcus, Kent and Lucius took out the left side, and Maxime almost raped Marcus. Got all the treasure, most importantly, well, they are all pretty awesome items actually. Farina still has not gained strength in 8 levels. With a 55% growth with the Afa's Drops. I love you RNG. Raven shopped for Pure Waters, Legault for Heal/Mends, and Matt for some more ranged weaponry. Serra got Restore and Canas got Light Rune. Didn't take screenshots since this is a lame level anyway. Chapter 22: 4/98 Thanks for the basic strategy Dondon Went with the Marcus/Isadora combined rush strategy. Hector was going to recruit Heath for his items, but Heath likes suicide apparently. Isadora got bosskill, recruited Rath. Team mostly complete now. Time to start thinking about promoting some dudes... Midgame Character update Hector is pretty decent. He certainly could be worse. I wish I had worked harder to keep him near Eliwood for that juicy support though... Eliwood is frustrating to no end. I used a Dragonshield on him, and he was speed screwed for awhile, but looking at him now, I can't really complain I guess. It's Marcus. He's got the tiger blood in him. I have been pretty happy with how much magic she's been getting. Warp might be juicy once I get it. Can't wait to promote her... If I had a Hero Crest, he'd probably promote, but I don't. I am very happy with him. He doubles everything. Canas is up and down. I really don't care about him right now though, I'm going to need him late game. I am finally at Isadora! She's going to be awesome, I can tell. Her first level, speed and strength? Yes please. Also, take a look at her battle counts... interesting. Ninian and Rath are at base for now. Chapter 23: 7+4/109 Nothing special really happened. I ran around and killed stuff. I didn't field Rath or Isadora so I could get Legault into play to steal the Guiding Ring for Serra/Canas and grab some treasure. Ended up with Ocean Seal and Light Brand. I was one trun from the Hero Crest, but oh well. Chapter 27 has one of those anyway. Chapter 24: 2/111 Marcus and Isadora killed the Lloyd. Rath got random experience. Canas killed a hero by lucky crit with Luna. Raven sold a Knight Crest and the Ocean Seal to buy a bunch of Reavers and Steels. Hooray for Barrier experience! Ninian pretty obviously ate the Robe. Chapter 12 10 turns Having Matt is great for this map Lowen and Marcus worked on the bottom while Matt stepped onto the forest and Hector killed the Peg knights. Chapter 13 12 turns Everyone went north except Marcus who went south. Marcus got the mine and killed Guy. Lowen went to the village and got the torch. Hector killed the boss and seized on turn 12. Chapter 13x 8 turns 37 total Lowen and Hector protected the North of the Island and Marcus protected the west. Since it is mostly axemen in the south I had Matt defend that part of the bridge. I got lucky with some stuff as Hector and Marcus along with Lowen almost died. Chapter 14 8 turns 45 total I had Hector and Matt stay behind while Lowen with his amazing Defense went to the bottom and Marcus soloed the middle. In truth this is turning out to be my best Lowen ever so far my last Lowen gianed only HP for 5 straight levels to start out. I killed the last Peg Knight on turn 8. I said MY best Lowen because my last Lowen at level 20 unpromoted had no stats over 10, can you see now why I am overjoyed at at least Lowen doing what he is supposed to, tank. But that was Normal mode, so it wasn't bad. And effing Cog of Destiny, I think I'm gonna make Marcus solo, because Lucius keeps dying and Pent keeps getting silenced. Florete Posted July 6, 2011 Share Posted July 6, 2011 Chapter 7-17: 9/57 Standard Marcus charge with Hector following behind. I lol'd that Marcus could double the Hammer bro while carrying Hector. In order to get the Knight Crest I had to prematurely drop Hector so Marcus would be able to get rid of the Thieves, which likely cost me a turn, but oh well. I got the Knight and Hero Crests and the Unlock staff but no Raven or Lucius. All 3 Caelin Soldiers survived. Chapter 7-17x: 6/63 Had Marcus go around the north and get the Lancereaver before finishing it up. Missed the Short Bow and Sleep staff but got healthy experience for Oswin. Chapter 7-18: 3/66 Marcus rush. No biggie. Chapter 7-19: 5/71 Marcus rush again, except fast enemies (My speedy Marcus still doubles, it's their Avoid that's an issue) and lots of terrain make things very annoying. Was able to Lance Uhai to death on turn 5 (Silver Lance was exactly a 2HKO). Got some good experience for others, but unfortunately could not get the Torch staff. Chapter 7-19x: 6/77 Another Marcus rush! Yay! Dart got the Ashera Icon and the others kinda just walked around killing stuff since no one could keep up with Marcus well enough to help him even if he'd needed it. Second Pronoun Posted July 6, 2011 Share Posted July 6, 2011 Chapter 15 8 turns It was tough but I was finally able to do it by having Marcus on the throne, Matthew and Hector in the West next to the broken wall and Lowen on a pillar. Did not get the treasure though Matthew stole a vulnerary. Chapter 16 12 turns I got 3 new characters. The toughest part is that Sain gets doubled. Wil was great for killing the Pegasus knights and Lyn went shopping and got many Javelins and Hand Axes. I sent Hector and Marcus up to kill off the Boss and They did so on turn 11. I seized on turn 12.
