I played the prolouge of Vestaria Saga yesterday and i gotta say, i'm so glad i pirated this game because it is not worth $20 lmao. The game is free in Japan because it basically has no budget. So when you buy the localized version, you're not buying the game, you're buying the translation patch. Lmao.

What a tedious, slow, boring and unfun mess. It isn't even difficult, it just forces you to play slow, use bait and switch, focus on tanking and group your peeps together so that guy with pass and triple your AS doesn't one shot your squishy dudette.

This is how i feel about every Lunatic difficulty in Fire Emblem games tbh. Hard Mode is best because it's the most balanced (unless you're FE6 in which case Normal is the most balanced).

But this all ties back into how i feel that balancing difficulty in turn-based RPGs is a lot harder than it is to balance difficulty in action RPG because with the former, it's way too easy to fall down the slippery slope of "give everything insane stats".

Yup, the only atbest decent Prequel star wars movie is the third one. The Phantom Menace and Attack of the clones are garbage. The best thing I can say about them is that they gave us some cool stories in The Clone Wars cartoon.

Yep, The Clone Wars was the best thing to come out of the Prequels. Almost every character that appears in the Prequels is made far more interesting in The Clone Wars. Anakin's fall to the Dark Side feels more gradual rather than something he just decides on a whim.

That said, The Clone Wars does not retroactively make the Prequels good. The movies should be judged as movies, which is something i feel a lot of Star Wars fans seem to have forgotten.

With the way the movies were received over the years I expected them to be a lot worse but I even ended up liking the 'The last jedi'. That's the one that got a lot of flack.

The Last Jedi definitly deserves some criticism but i feel that the people that were criticizing the movie weren't doing it properly. Because instead of criticising things that were actually wrong with the movie (pointless casino planet, the exectution of some ideas), more people were focusing on how the movie "ruined Star Wars" because appearently it just takes one movie to ruin the third biggest mult-media franchise in the world.

If everyone thought Roy is the shitlord

I never did. I feel like Roy's flaws were blown out of proportion because it's really just his mov stat that sucks (which can be fixed with Boots).

Thank you for answering my silly questions though.

No problem.

I will become the most beautiful Tennis diva since Maria Sharapova by ordering this.

Oh, there's an Annette costume on this site.

Too bad I am 40 cm taller than her, so it wouldn't suit cosplaying her.

I have to admit he is really bad in hard mode.

Growthrates do not really matter in FE5 since scrolls can fix it and the enemy's level does not rise as much as in other games, but seeing a lord with this abysmal strength and defense (even five levels lower Tanya has more strength without scrolls) really hurts my eyes and heart.

Leif is supposed to be my favorite lord in FE, at least personalitywise.

depends on game really.

FE6 being a horrible game aside, hard mode makes it even worse due to horrible hit rates of everything not named Iron sword or Marcus. It turns into an unfun RNG fest

FE7 limits deployment slots

FE8 and FE9 Hard were too easy

FE10 Hard (Maniac jp) removed range markers and weapon triangle

FE12 adds ambush spawns

Awankening stat inflation

Conquest. This one does it right. There's no stat inflation here, infact, iirc, Lunatic has the same stats as hard (or atleast close to it), with the difference being the skills, enemy placements and Dragon veins. Sure, Late game the skills do get kinda obnoxious, but you can still think your way around it and it's much better than stat inflation. Much much better

Lol rest of Fates

Echoes makes enemies way too tanky iirc

And FE16 returns to Awakening style stat inflation in it's highest difficulty and FE12 ambush spawns

Remember that screenshot of the dragon crashing into the building I posted earlier?
This is him in gameplay:

And this is the theme that plays when you fight him.
Everything about this says "you're f***ed". And I love it!
Dat Persona-like UI, though...

It took me over 400 turns, but I finally completed a Civilization VI run. Gilgamesh went for the Science Victory- launching a satellite, going to the moon, and lastly launching even more rockets to settle Mars.

The game is becoming easier to grasp the more I play, though I still fear the logistics of going for a Domination Victory. I think I'll try Cultural next, on a higher difficulty (apparently, the AI really isn't really improved by higher difficulty). I got experience with how to win Cultural when going for Science, since I went crazy after neglecting Culture to stop Pericles from winning that way. Lots of bribing him to steal Great Works to lower his Tourism output and increase my Culture and Tourism was necessary.

I finally completed the DLC for Xenoblade 2. It took a while and alot of failures, but I finally won that mission I was struggling on. I prefer the tyrants in Torna, personally, because, honestly, these were kind of a drag. I dont mind them being hard, but to battle for an hour only to fail is annoying. And considering I'm always using the same strategy, it just wasn't fun after a while.

I actually didn't mind this tbh. Although i know Hector Hard mode limits the deployment slots even further. Then it's bad. But i never played Hector mode anyway. Saw it pointless.

Outside of Thabes Labyrinth, i don't remember Echoes enemies being too tanky in Hard. Especially since Mages killed everything that wasn't a Mage or Dread Fighter.

I liked the dragon a lot better in the first screenshot because now it looks like someone took the Photoshop eraser tool and just went to town with it.

I actually don't like the UMs in Torna that much. Mainly because Elemental Awakening is completely random and unlike in the Land of Challenge, you have no counter for it. When you set up a Blade Combo, you just gotta hope that Elemental Awakening doesn't trigger. The Superbosses especially were tough to deal with because of it.

I... never really noticed. Like stated earlier, most anything that wasn't an Arcanist or Dread Fighter was easy prey for a mage.

If FE10's hard mode had weapon triangle, it would be the perfect difficulty for me.

Hard mode of FE6's redux patch was really fun, but vanilla FE6 is so bad overall unfortunately. The worst designed game (if I exclude the careless made FE1 remake aka FE11).

Survival feels so much easier in Torna, and I dont recall having issues getting Blade combos to go off. But yeah, it is annoying, I just think that with things like Talent arts, it's much easier to deal with. Like I cant stress enough how many times Swallow's Flight + Hungry Snake saved me from certain death. Or reviving Mythra for free evasion.

I am positively surprised that firework became way less compared to the last years. Apparently people understood it's just a waste of money and damage for the enviroment. I mean New Year can be celebrated but not at cost of the wallet and enviroment. A relaxing night dinner with family or friends would be nice way to come in the new year as well.

Anyways happy 2020!

My only personal resolutions are keeping my promise to go to the US and working on my backlog list of games which became waaaaaaaaay too long.

That the dragon looks the way it does has story reasons. To make a long story short, Digimon are made of data, he got infested by extradimensional creatures called Eaters that can corrode and consume said data, hence the glitchy look.
But now I can'f unsee someone using an eraser tool on him. XD

I just finished everyone's favorite chapter in FE5, chapter 11.

... Of course I'm kidding!

I did remember about Kempf's trap, but I forgot about Fred being a NPC in this chapter.

I was an idiot and stole Fred's vulnerary, so he was screwed against the ballistas.

I was very lucky due to RNG and several move again procs to finish this chapter two turns after he had become a NPC.
