Weird, I'd think I'd remember this if it got in my way, but I don't. I don't remember that many in my way. Either I worked around most baddies when I had to, or, XC1 and XCX just KO'ed me waaaaaaay more and the number of times and so the XC2 losses became forgettable.

Well, back to Endor. Time to head to the Casino again! Er, I mean, stop a possible war... though that's for another day.

Man, things finally looked up! Turns out the Machining course got pushed to late April, though regardless, I'm already in. Though for the time being I'm gonna be doing other stuff... starting tomorrow. It's technically a job, so I'm finally technically employed. Hopefully this keeps going up...

To be fair, XC2 is my first dive into the Xeno franchise, so I wouldn't have any previous experience. And the monster I'm talking about sits right at the entrance of a very narrow road, so avoiding it is proving rather difficult. Especially since it activates the aggro of pretty much everything else in that area, as well. And since their attacks can hit you from miles and miles away for some reason, well... I think it's safe to say I'm a little bit stuck.

The game has already leaked enough information for me to come to that conclusion, him being Malos' Driver was the biggest red flag. Even if I know he'll be a baddie, I don't know what he looks like nor the reason why he's a bad guy/antagonist, so you haven't spoiled too much.

There is someone from Three Houses in the game, however: none other than Claude's voice actor himself, who voices Kurt. Also Altina, who is voiced by Marianne's voice actress.
Juna, meanwhile shares her voice actress with Karikaro from Dragon Star Varnir and Harley from Fairy Fencer F, while Musse is Palla from Echoes.

Since i played Dragon Star and FFF with jp VA, and Trails and 3H with en VA i wouldn't really know xD

I'll probably play Dragon Star with the Japanese VO next time, too. Most of the lines weren't voiced at all in English, which is a bit of a shame, because otherwise, the English VO was top notch.

Have you tried using your laptop while it is plugged in? The battery shouldn't go down when you do that.

Yeah that's a problemwith iffy titles in general due to lack of budget.

DERQ suffers from the same problem, that's why i played Dragon Star with jp VA from start to finish.

After playing through Torna, Malos shot up to be my favorite Xeno villain. I mean, even before Torna, he was already on a good spot in my list. Torna just gave him that extra push. Same with Jin.

Ah yes, that status effect. Thankfully, it's very rare and i'm pretty sure there are accessories and aux cores that negate it anyways. The only other enemy to my knowledge that can disable healing is Jin, so be careful when you get to fight him.

Anyways, you can go around that Unique Monster. Or you can take the right branching path if you're feeling brave but the enemies are stronger there.

Part of the reason for this is that Xenoblade 2's cast doesn't suffer from character irrelevancy syndrome, which is common in a lot of RPG. Usually what is is is that there are party members that are just way more important to the story while there are other party members that are just there. The latter characters aren't neccisarily bad and they usually still get their development but they aren't really equals, if you get what i mean.

Xenoblade 2 doesn't have this problem. All the party members feel equal (ok maybe Dromarch and Morag a little less so) but compared to a lot of other RPGs, Xenoblade 2 doesn't suffer from character irrelevancy syndrome. Even among the Xeno series, Xenoblade 2 is the only one that doesn't have that.

Wait, are you in the tunnels? Cause even in there, you can just go around enemies. Actually, i don't recall the entrance to the tunnels being blocked at all. Unless you're in a different part and i'm remembering wrong.

Atelier games also suffered from this. And then Atelier Firis just got rid of English voice acting entierly, and that's how it's been ever since.

Yup, it's basically luck based if you even manage to reach the town of Lowee, because there are random encounters on the world map in the original Megadimension VII.
Don't know if they kept it for the VII-R version, though.

One thing to keep in mind: unlike the other Neptunia games, where she was the biggest tank, magic will absolutely slaughter Blanc in this game, so I suggest prioritizing equipment that raises magic defense for her.

Killing the monsters during the event was hard!

You're right, magic was dealing around 400-600 per hit, on average.

Beating the boss of her part was very hard... Like, Rom and Ram couldn't survive one combo!

Mine as well. I just love the idea of islands/a land floating in the sky, which is also why I like the Gamindustri map from Re;Birth 1 the most out of every version of it from the games I've played, but I think I mentioned this before somewhere.

I'm still in the area with the branching path stuff on the way to Rex' hometown. The unique enemy I'm talking about lurks around on the path to the left, which has the weaker enemies. It looks like a bigger version of those quadrupedal, wingless dragon-like things that are also running around, if that helps.

Rom and Ram are very squishy, but Ram especially can be used to cheese a certain boss later on, because all of her attacks have an element to them. She's basically this game's Lysithea: not very durable, but her damage output is insane.

My university sent an e-mail around advising people to stop travelling altogether. And they said that no one who was in any "risk zone" these past 14 days is allowed to even enter the facilities.
And I heard from my grandmother that there is a case of corona in my hometown as well. It's a good thing I can use my cold as an excuse to not go outside for the time being...
Also, the store near my home was all out of toilet paper the last time I was there, which was weird.

I'd add more examples from Atelier Sophie and Lulua, but I don't want to spoil stuff for Shrimperor and Armagon, who are playing Lulua and Sophie respectively right now.

I don't mind it, honestly. It was just an observation expressed in a more or less joking manner.

I did an Ironman of that game once, actually. It's the only game I did one of those with so far.
I only lost Leanne and Aran in Part 4 due to underestimating the ranges of Halberdier reinforcements in the first map of Micaiah's group (the one where you first get to use Skrimir, Sanaki, and Naesala), everybody else made it through, thankfully.
