In FE7 and 8 I bench them all after the time, because they turn out pretty badly. However in my FE6 hard mode run Alan and Lance were a great duo. Fast, powerful and could take some hits. Doesn't really matter though because you're best off using almost all of them. Only Noah and Treck are better off ditched because of their hopeless promotion situation.
