Thany Posted January 25, 2017 Share Posted January 25, 2017 I mostly ask this because we have characters like merlinus and Amy as selectable choose your heroes characters. i dont feel like they would of added them in if they wernt gonna be playable in some way. what do you guys think? would the characters that dont fight make it into the game? But azura also has a lance, while Dancers from the GBA games dont have any sort of weapon at all. yet are still selectable as choose your heroes characters. They can always be updated for FE Heroes so that they can fight. Just look at Fates' Elise (a staff-locked Troubadour) in one of the trailers; she dealt damage via her staff (which was normally an impractical option available in the Tellius games). Turtle Posted January 25, 2017 Share Posted January 25, 2017 They could just be locked to utility, like the GBA dancers/Merlinus, but I suppose that might make them less useful than ultility-and-combat characters like Olivia or Azura by default. Still, considering at least some of these non-combat units have actually been playable in main-series games, and Elibe is part of the initial lineup of characters, I'd be very surprised if they were left out, especially on the off chance of one of them winning the vote. You know, that character who's one fight was 'getting stabbed by her husband' and doesn't even appear in the Trial Maps to suggest what class she might be beyond maybe 'Cleric, because Greil's the same class as Ike'. Gima Posted January 25, 2017 Share Posted January 25, 2017 OK, then I'd guess the Dancers and Bards from the GBA games besides Ninian and Nils (who are literally half-Manakete and thus would likely use Breath weapons since weapons=/=class in this game, it seems) would probably use Swords? Since the Dancer class, outside of the GBA games, uses Swords. Â Spoiler Elphin could also be a Sword user since he's a Prince, and thus could have been a Lord. I could see Laila using swords lol.
