My father has no interest in gaming unless it's mobile games, but my mother has always encouraged me in my gaming hobby, even if she doesn't play games herself. Mine loves to play racing games (like the aforementioned Forza 3) and we played through some Final Fantasy games together (X and XIII to be exact), as well. He also got in and out of Pokémon the same time I did (though he still plays the older games from time to time).
