I like her design the most out of all the party members so at least in that department, she is indeed best.

Kinda crazy that i'm only four hours in and most of the party members have joined. Magilou technically hasn't but she's there, just cheering on the sidelines.

Yup, Berseria gets the main people together quickly.
As for Eleanor, I found her character development the most compelling next to Velvet's. I also just like her personality a lot.

😘😘 Eleanor

I wished a figure of her existed...

Speaking of Eleanor, not gonna lie she was the hardest enemy in the game for me because Velvet's solo fights were the only ones I kinda struggled.

Yeah, but not as good

And having her heql is a waste since she can go pew pew pew with magic xD

Fair point! XD
Though I did find her healing circle to be insanely useful.

Makes me wonder how long the game is if it assembles everyone this quickly.

He's the only healer you get, so....

That and switching plays a big part in the battle system

Tbh, i don't like Support-based characters in ARPGs. Unless they specialize in damage-over-time, i feel like Support-based characters in ARPGs just hold me back. If i can get by by healing through passive means or through items, then i'd usually do that. If i need the healer, then i'll switch them in but i usually don't do that unless i'm out of options.

My first playthrough took 50 hours or so, iirc.

I actually kinda liked Re:Zero. It was by no means perfect, but it was a pretty good time.

Emilia had little in the way of actual personality

Because she only appeared for Subaru to tell her ''i love you'' every damn time and to fawn over her.

And downright offensive after episode 12 imo.

Yup. Exactly.
Though I did think her setup was neat, what with her apparently looking like the "ultimate evil". It just... never went anywhere.

That was when his affection for Emilia (that he only had because "first girl in an Isekai story = love interest") slowly devolved into an obsession, iirc?
I can definitely see where you're coming from.

My problem with Re:Zero is the MC and his love interest.

That's the least of my problems with the show actually. My biggest problem is that the show is one giant shock value and half of it just happens off-screen.

Essentially, while the timeloops are good in concept, it's used way too much and it's used as a cheap way to get the audience to care. It also just makes the pacing worse (maybe this is an anime thing) and it honestly got frustrating going through the same events over and over with barely any progress made.

Same.

I felt about this with pretty much the entire cast and it didn't help that most of the characters didn't have a lot of screentime. Even Emilia suffers from this, the OP and promotional material made her seem way more important than she actually is.

Yeah. The "breakup" between Subaru and Emilia was one of the stupidest parts of the show and then getting together again wasn't handled well at all either.

Episode 12 was when the show fell off a cliff for me. Down into an endless pit.

Yup.

It was downright creepy. Not to mention he has 0 chemistry with Emilia.

Yeah, that part was dumb. Didn't really care much for it, either.

That, too.

They went a little too heavy on that in the later episodes, it's true. I generally don't care for too much gore. Not that it makes me feel queasy or anything, it just looks ridiculous.

... Why the f*** did I enjoy that show, again?
