I ended up on a completely different part of the map, standing in front of some kind of tower with doors that won't open. This is how I feel playing DQV at the moment. That... is a very good question. Especially when Square Enix' other JRPG franchise, Final Fantasy, has taught us that revival spells kill the undead, which you can use to your advantage to cheese an otherwise very daunting boss fight in Final Fantasy X: throw two Phoenix Downs at it and the thing is dead, just like that. Yep, that's the one! Tidus and Rikku will usually be fast enough to act before Evrae can petrify you if you've levelled them well.
