Doesn't always play out that way of course. It IS the best in the franchise!

It's easier than Lvl3 mystic artes iirc Yuri and Flynn need level 4 OVL active, and you use an arcane arte and hold the A and B and Y, I believe? buttons down after the arte. MisterIceTeaPeach
I remember beating Vesperia without mystic artes for the first time. In the JP version for PS3 I had no clue how to activate them. I used one in the final dungeon with Flynn by accident. Feeling proud. Even after knowing how to use them, I find it a pain in the ass compared to other Tales games. Too complicated that it can only be triggered by using a burst arte. Because if its minions are alive, it's weak. Once they are dead, they buff its strength and speed and you won't do it until you can finish off everything at the same time with a s-craft. Just spam artes on the boss. I tend to forget about Clock Up. I'll remember that and all the other advice for when I try again tomorrow. Thanks again, to both you and Shrimperor. And good morning as well. Edited August 13, 2020 by twilitfalchion

Late game they can last like the whole battle, as they are based on AT ticks and not on turn amount in Sky
MisterIceTeaPeach
Clock up is literally the first thing you should do in a boss fight unless the boss starts to cast before you can act. Then you have to impede it. Edited August 13, 2020 by Julian Teehee
Codename Shrimp
Sometimes you need to Grail Sphere before the boss S-crafts first thing in battle xD
DragonFlames
And again, my brain erases the "l" from Clock Up. WTF, brain? And of course, a good morning to all of you!
Codename Shrimp
There's a Clock Up EX And Clock Down And go sleep man. Codename Shrimp
There are ways to trick the Bosses to not open with S-crafts though! Spoiler It's how i was able to beat Löwe without Kevin in one of my many final dungeon runs i did for funsies haha SC is my most played non-multiplayer non-FE game after all! 1 minute ago, DragonFlames said: more on the "meh" side overall. ayy welcome to the good side. MisterIceTeaPeach
Xillia 2 is the only Tales game I could beat on unknown. I barely survived the final boss with everyone dead aside of Ludger and no reviving items left. Felt good!
Codename Shrimp
i play way too much games FE is probably 700 hours on those or something. I just remember I could not beat an elite monster and the final boss of postgame on highest difficulty. Berseria is very easy overall for me.
