If I may offer of a nugget of 13 Sentinels, that game also primarily takes place in Akiha but I never got the feeling that it was weeb city central so TIL. As a child who had 3 channels (none of which would have shown it or anything similar, any anime would have to have been fully kid friendly/4Kids'd to fit), of course I didn't watch it on the television. I got Bleach pointed out to me and saw it in the way you'd expect in the mid/late-2000's for someone out in the middle of nowhere. I kinda think the entire series completely fails at making difficulties above Hard anything even remotely approaching fun (and in Conquest's case, the entire thing is just miserable, no matter the difficulty.
