Serenes Forest's Teehee Thread

One one hand, I do really like that the organisational problems of getting thousands of soldiers across the desert is actually a plot point...

...but it does also highlight the issue that they can't just easily go back the way they came. So if the battle turns against them, they have nowhere to run. It's basically Cortés sinking his own ships with no one acknowledging it.

Torture

But there're warp tiles all around (that the player don't get to know about)

Warp tiles... like they move you somewhere else...? With no indication of where they are?

and a Berserk staff (all range) boss.

More torture.

But this is 16b, so can you just go a route or is that not what that means here?

Well, A route has Saias and his +30 Hit and Evd to all enemy units, so...

But well, that's just for a few turns I guess.

3 turns, but more importantly: something the player can actually see and has information about.

Although he does appear and cast sleep in the same turn, which is a dick move, but much less then berserk + random warp tiles

Wait until you hear about 24x

Oh and also Berserk lasts indefinitely unless dispelled. That is of course the big fun one.

That being said, berserked units do act like they are their own faction. They can no longer move through their former allies and can in fact be attacked and consequently killed or captured.

I don’t want to play this game.

...well I mean I do, but if “warp tiles” are common...

16B has five.

24x it's thirteen.

You be the judge if that's too much.

red circle = warp tiles that send you to a death trap

Where’s the death trap?

blue x

Warp tiles send you right between 2 enemy dark mages with no escape except rescue staff

Also it's an all escape map, so if you were saving the rescue staff for endgame or have none remaining, that's either a reset or a lost unit

It's tiresome reading the same complains over and over.

So I'll be back once things calm down again.

Not to worry, I'm not going to bring up Awakening right now, so the flame wars should remain on a manageable level.

I'm gonna be replaying VS1 myself, primarily getting Silken Merida and the Asuram/Sjarta event just because I haven't ever really seen them before. This should be exciting. Though no Dandelion is a major oof.

Good luck, and may Troy grow well enough to fight for Merida in her absence!

It also means that I think I have to kill off Lianka in Ch17. Y'know, for not!Nelke and the guy named after the one English guy who briefly overthrew the monarchy.

EDIT: Have to kill Eddard for it, not Lianka.
