Normally you need to increase the F/L Points with the townspeople to ask them to join you, but you can get Forte to agree right of the bat. You get three options, easy, normal, and hard, based on which dialogue option you pick. It's made clear if the dialogue itself isn't clear enough, IIRC. Whenever you talked with someone, you should've noticed a prompt to press L/R. That sends you to a menu where you can invite them. Though again, you need befriend them first. But Forte should accept right off the bat. Just keep in mind she might leave at around 19 hours. That happens with everyone when their friendship points are low. In your room there are stairs leading down. It leads to a few rooms that house trophies/accolades. There's one already present that lets you change the difficulty. And as others mentioned, you can bring along characters and monsters with you. The characters are kinda useless tho but the better monsters can pack a punch.
