The problem is that without the mystery that was driving the part, the plot rapidly falls apart and becomes a MacGuffin chase. I would forgive this if there was a good payoff, but instead we got wasted characters and an anticlimatic end, which I doubt Araki can fix in only 2 chapters. Part 3 had really bad pacing issues, but at least they had an objective at the start (reaching Egypt) and they were always getting close to that objetive. Oh, and Murdock's armor. I actually have to commend this game for its portraits. They're a bit rough around the edges at times, but I appreciate how distinctive they are, for the most part. Most of the more obvious splices are on lesser enemies. The player characters are all quite elaborate portraits, and they have a little something I can't quite put my finger on that feels different from most GBAFE portraits. Don't head back to Flaaghra's room for now then. They don't hit that hard, but they are annoying, particularly with the visor interference when they hit you that can undo a charge you were getting ready to nail them with. I do think that their overall attack pattern makes them "flavorful" enemies however, if you get what I mean. A Super Missile + one normal charged shot liberates them from their madness. I actually ended up using Kloe for healing a bit more than offensively in emergencies, while Olivier focused exclusively on offensive arts. Kloe did use offensive arts when she could, though. Because I now have Kevin, whenever I get him back I’ll probably bench Olivier for him (assuming I get Olivier back since I don’t have him either) so I could try working with Kloe, because no way am I benching Lichtkreis.
