Depends on the genre and class. As for action RPGs I prefer weapons first because it's still on your own to evade. As for round based RPGs I don't have a real preference. Buying both types at the same time. Also spellcasters with lowish defense need equipment more than physical units.

I didn't read most of the posts in this thread not to spoil myself. Anyways I'm really excited for this game although I haven't played 2 and not quite finished 1 yet. I hope the gameplay won't change much (a few improvements are always welcome). Also would like to see some music themes from the prequels returning. ToCS3 forces me to buy a PS4 but I have to upgrade sometime anyways because I don't expect many more new PS3 games released in near future.

Using skills on command (with a SP stat) is sth. I'd like to see in FE. Also will Dagda have the same equipment in 8x as he had when he left in chapter 3? Some vulneraries could increase his durability.

Well, Hugh has one more magic. The extra bulkiness doesn't matter because Lugh higher evasion can equal it. Yes, I have to admit I fucking hate Hugh. I prefer to steal his silver card from him and kill him instead to waste 10000 gold which is a better investment in status items. Also another issue for Hugh is that he joins late when most of your units should be promoted already.

Will the price for the PS3 version drop or rise in the future? On the one hand I find 50€ for a PS3 game too much (40€ is standard) so I hope for a price drop, but on the other hand we're talking about a game for a console which is going to die. So I'm afraid this game will become rare and very expensive. Shall I wait or shall I buy this game as early as possible?

Lugh is still the better magic user than Cecilia because his earlygame is pretty good. And for the lategame his speed allows him to double stuff unlike her. Cecilia, on the other hand, is the better stave user because she shows up with C rank. Lugh barely reaches it at the end of the game. This isn't true, neither referred to their magic stat, nor to their usefulness. The unit with the worst magic stat at the end is Clarine actually. As for usefulness Cecilia has bases, not great bases, but good enough to be slightly useful in combat. Lilina's a walking target: Squishy and slow. Each enemy in the beginning will oneshot a / o double her. If you go to Sacae, she'll get wrecked by all the myrms and nomads. Raigh's bases are abysmal for his level. He can't even do nosferatu-tanking because he'd get doubled by lots of enemies. Hugh has ok bases, but he requires payment, A LOT of payment. And the reward for paying him is that you get an unit with almost no potential because his growths are absolutely garbage.

I have to wait till the end of this month (birthday) till I can buy ToCS 2. I think I'll have finished 1 till this weekend. Could use the break to try replaying it.

same conflict situation here P5's release crashes my ToCS run but I guess I'll wait for P5 till my birthday at the end of my month. More hyped for ToCS 2 now honestly. I thought so too. Hopefully you see it as a compliment. Good luck!
