  1. Oh yes, the sacrifice was totally dead. Dead like the Black Knight in Path. wait... If IS wants Frey to make it, he didn't die at the sacrifice.
  2. It is such a shame she has no way to gain levels without combat. Wait...
  3. Like the Swarm you get in FE11 in the last chapter (if you gained Gotoh)? Worm and Meteor are both long-ranged magic in FE3, both were originally enemy only. So only time will tell if we get them on the player side.
  4. Because having un-promoted Axe users is more important then having Shooters.
  5. Fire Emblem 3 had no player controlled Shooters. If there were playable Ballisticians, then it would be an added class for the game. Like Fighters and Pirates.
  6. If Katarina is a Cleric that does fit. I really doubt that outfit goes on a Fighter. XD deuxhero: Yes, it did, but both Pirate and Fighter are returned to the FE3 cast options (no word on counts for them).
  7. Looking at the Re-Class image, checking the standard cast of FE3 Book 2. If Reclass shows up again at Chapter 4 like in FE11, your added cast from Prologue/Extra chapters are a Peg Knight, two Fighters, and a Curate. Based on using the Reclass gives you +1 unit per class based on every recruited unit with that base class AND that My Unit is not counted toward that. As there are 2 out of 2 Mercenaries but Ogma would have joined. Note: All speculation based on recruitment not changing and it being chapter 4. (However it can't be Chapter 5, as you get either a new Merc, or a new Myrm, in the form of Samto, along with Caeda as a Peg Knight).
  8. Pretty sure that's standard for FE3. Was hoping the update would include a list of how reclass works this game.
  9. It comes down to if they fix Re-classing, really. But given we already have a female that could fall into a Set B class, I'm hoping for some diversity.
  10. It's part of the details on Nintendo's E3 coverage page. Strictly about the (current) details of the 3DS. There's a disclaimer of how nothing is set in stone, but its Nintendo.
  11. I'm hoping someone in Metal Gear Solid 3DS lampshades the hell outta the fact you're playing a one-eyed guy in a 3D title.
  12. As they advertised it, yes it does.
  13. It really depends on what sorta casual market games come out for the 3DS at launch, when it comes to the casual response. Of the more devoted gamer sect the title list is impressive, however the analog stick and added graphics abilities are probably as strong a draw to it as the 3D on its own is (3D is a gimmick akin to the DS's original touch screen). Of the games listed most aren't a casual audience draw. The only casual audience draw is the 3D movie aspect of it, so far.
  14. Good thing they didn't just 'tack' 3D onto the DS and revamped the graphics capability on the whole system, added an analog control option, and revamped the wireless functions too. I mean, none of them are such a huge step as the 3D, but the rest make it a bit more than something 'tacked onto the DS.'
  15. Nintendo spent a few minutes bragging about numbers, which we didn't need to hear. BUT, they did focus on the games for most of the conference. The focus on the 3DS hardware was good, but not overshadowing of the games. Microsoft and Sony focused on hardware abilities when I was really hoping for INFO ON GAME TITLES. Which was a problem as both hardwares were... not new. Microsoft remade Sony's eyetoy. Sony remade the Wiimote. Now, they both improved on the original design, that's not a question. The problem is, at least for Sony, is price. Some numbers! Price for an eyetoy: 40 bucks. Price for a Move controller: 50 bucks. Price for something definitely not a Nunchuk: 30 bucks. That means, for one person, you need to spend 120 bucks. If you have a four player game, you'll need to spend $360 if they need both halves. And for some two player games if they use two Move controllers you'd need to start off with $240. And that's just controllers that are for some games, you'll need PS3 controllers too. ...and if you want 3-D, a 3-D TV and glasses. Sony is a money pit, again.
  16. What it comes down to, really, is what can be supplemented, and what can't. Caeda has one thing that others cannot duplicate: Wingspear. Following that, of the important values to killing things (Movement to get there, Strength to hurt them, Speed to hurt them twice, Skill to hit them). Strength loses value because of forged Might on weapons (Skill loses it more because of the crap dodge formula alongside Weapon forging). Speed and Movement Class Set A have in spades, and Movement isn't something you can just get more of. Especially if you add in flying to the movement. Incidentally Speed and movement are things Caeda has in spades too. Minerva and Jagen have movement, speed, enough strength, enough skill. Barst can never have the same movement, at best you make him a Berserker and give him the boots, and that gives him options a Paladin might lack, but not the sorta thing a Dragon Knight ever worries about. Of course, I don't do ranked runs, and my favorite character is Est, and I baby her all through endgame to make sure she levels and survives. So what do I know? ^_^
  17. There was no third Tier promotion in FE3. FE3:Book 1 levels and promotions were RESET when you began Book 2. As Book 1 was a bonus to remind you of the story in the game. Book 2 was the main story of "Mystery of the Emblem." Anyone that thinks FE11 and FE12 were one game split in half didn't really pay attention to the series history.
  18. Nobody thinks the tier list talk is just a bit premature. Given we don't know the full cast of the game. How reclassing is working this game. ...what new hurdles are added, what parts of the plot have been changed. ...or really... anything, that we need to know to make a tier list?
  19. Funny, Serra and Erk is the only one where love is even mentioned of the three. Florina and Dart outright states she was flirting with him. ...okay, Sain is the least strong of the three there, but it is romantic. "After the battle, Erk returned to his studies. His newfound feelings for Serra were an unwelcome distraction. In Ostia, Serra declared she would "live for love" with Erk, and Marquess Ostia gladly saw her off." "Farina's love for Dart compelled her to stay in Lycia. She visited Badon often and flirted with Dart at every chance. He never knew how serious she was when she told him that a female pirate would be quite profitable!"
  20. Looking at the endings: - Sue is definitely Rath's daughter (ending with Lyn) In the 'what is romantic, what isn't' category (note: only paired endings): - All of Rebecca's endings are romantic (Sain, Wil, Lowen) - Serra and Erk is romantic, the other two are debatable (Matthew, Oswin) - All of Priscilla's endings are romantic, but only Erk stays with her. (Erk, Heath, Guy) - Nino's endings are romantic (Erk, Jaffar) - Farina's endings are romantic (Dart, Kent, Hector) - Fiora's endings are romantic (Kent, Sain, Eliwood) - Harken and Isadora is romantic, everything else they get is depressing. - Raven and Lucius ride off into the sunset together. - Vaida is depressing, her best bet is Heath and that's not very romantic. - Lyn's endings are romantic (Kent, Rath, Hector, Eliwood. Some say Florina's is also romantic) - Hector's endings are romantic (Lyn, Florina, Farina) - Eliwood's endings are romantic (Lyn, Farina, Ninian) - Pent and Louise, Bartre and Karla, Canas and his unnamed wife who dies with him in a snowy mountain region are obvious. Now why did I go list all of this? Aside from the endings that already were in FE6 in some way (one parent or both) Serra, Priscilla, Vaida (somewhat), Farina, and Fiora have endings that could be explored to gain us new FE6 characters. Just food for thought.
  21. The programming hell that would come out of that given that My Unit has to be at least reacted to based somewhat on appearance. ...No, not happening.
  22. The most likely (to me) use of the DSi for FE12 is the Downloadable Content might need the SD slot to be saved. I'm figuring the game proper will function fine on any DS, outside of the downloadables not pre-programmed into the game. I highly doubt the camera will be made use of.
  23. Technically Hugh can't be put into this system as his parentage is already known. Canas has a wife (with a baby boy) back home, while he's working and sending back money. So Hugh's already around when FE7 is happening, if I recall right anyway. But yes, there are some that are assumed due to Expy-ness, and they can add characters into an FE6 remake based on pairings out of FE7, if they want. Or if they wait too long and redo the whole thing, just make it all into a new set of games, with more FE7r stuff that leads into more FE6r stuff. It is just the thought of a fan here, after all.
  24. I saw it more as a natural storyline progression thing. Going FE1 to FE3 is completing a story. Seeing what fans want to come after that will decide if they go back and redo FE2 (which they still could), FE4 (better as a Wii title), or FE6 (well I want it). The way I see it they have a few options for how to integrate the FE7 relationships into FE6. For starters minor changes in dialog to include references to parents. Even if in some cases it's minor, like for the twins a reference to the man that brought them to the orphanage (As Nino either ends up with Erk or Jaffar), referencing Rabecca's husband (Sain, Wil, or Lowen). The other parent's strongest stats might be used as a reference point to give minor growth buffs (5-10% only for most, except...) Roy... Roy is what they can do the most with. Roy is usually titled as one of the weakest and most useless lords in FE history. Late promotion and poor caps. However, if they decided to have Roy's stats, growths, and promotion gain a little off of one of his options for parent (Lilina can be given a similar treatment, in different ways). At least they can give some growth buffs based on parent stats like above. OR, they can go a little further and change the exact standing of classes based on parent: - Ninian: Much nicer growths, slightly improved caps post promote. - Lyndis: Increased growths based on his mommy, Bow use as a second weapon, Crit Boost along the lines of Blade Lord. - Fiora: Increased growths based on his mommy, give's him Eliwood's Knight Lord Promotion and Lances (because they probably wouldn't wanna break the all girl's club on Pegasus riders). That's just an example, most of the FE6 cast with a parent in FE7 has only one parent known, and a few parent options. They can play on ways that the parent changes effect the cast, I doubt anyone other then Roy would get really big changes, but they could still be fun to play around with.
  25. The aspect that would be of most interest for an FE6 remake is to use some connectivity to FE7. The more time passes the more that slips out of reach due to the DSi and its rather large little sibling. If they wait until they remake FE4 and FE5 (both would need a lot more work to remake from the very structure of the game. FE6 would need less structure and more accessories) it'll be a while. If it takes a while an FE6 remake is still doable, but they would have to restructure what could be the most interesting change to the plot (without rewriting the plot entirely) into something a lot more complicated. Which has some good and bad to it. If they remake FE7 and bolster the numbers and bolster some more supports and endings to it, in the mind of an FE6 remake with said bolstered endings and pairings effecting the cast and course of FE6. Well, kudos to that. However it'd be easier if they did a remake of FE6 before the DS-lite era is done forever.
