  1. Why? There's no reason to asssume that we're always going Ephraim's route. Although I guess averaging isn't the best method. Still, assuming best case scenario for Ephraim all the time doesn't make much sense.
  2. Once I got a brown zubat in Ruby The shiny color is green.
  3. Cyndaquil (Totodile was close) and Mudkip.
  4. If you S-Rank Lyn Mode she comes with a White Gem.
  5. Ephraim's only available half of the time (14/22 chapters in his mode, 7/22 in Eirika's, averages 10.5/22) compared to Hector only missing one short chapter and only half of the time. And Wolf Beil is also ridiculous. Availability's the main reason I chose Hector over Ephraim.
  6. No one is hard to train in EM. You get enough BEXP to easily bring two tier ONE units with you to endgame. And then there's all of the stat boosters which you can get by just fine without in order to make it even easier to make anyone usable.
  7. Do people all become never dieing ORKO machines towards the end of G1 in FE4? If they don't, then Sigurd still wins. They're both the best early on, but then Sigurd's still noticeably better than his team later, while Seth might be slightly better, but not significantly at all.
  8. He just said that he liked Nino more than Lute, not that Nino was better than Lute.
  9. The reason that those units are rated poorly is not because they don't end up good, or at least, some of them do, but it's because, at least in HM, getting them there is very difficult and not worth it. For example, EM Edward is amazing because EXP is so abundant that his great growths kick in very quickly and he becomes one of your best units almost immediately and doesn't have problems with being very underleveled.. However, in HM, he has much more trouble with enemies to start with and then gets much less EXP for it, meaning that he's very poor for all of part 1 and 3, and then come part 4, he's horribly underleveled.
  10. I agree. It would have been SO much better if he figured out that it was his mom (but really) Zelgius after Ike wins the fight.
  11. Actually, Transfer Ike vs. Sigurd might be interesting...
  12. Meant Priscilla, accidentally voted for Lute. Clarine's craptastic magic puts me off. I don't really care if she's invincible, she doesn't do enough damage to really be all that great, IMO.
  13. Sigurd. If only people who had played FE4 and FE9/10 voted, it would be a landslide.
  14. Canas. Knoll's easily the worst DRUID. Edit: Wait, forgot about Ewan. Those two are in the same boat, though.
  15. Pent. Lute's great, but she's in a game with a ton of other awesome units.
  16. This is DIECK. One of, if not THE best offensive unit in the entire game? Your other units will, for the most part, be doing much worse than Dieck. Also, Dieck wants to use the Iron Blade more because it effectively has 30 more hit than a Steel Axe. I assume that you meant an UNranked run?
  17. It's not a redundancy. At least not in chapters 15/19. Colm can only be in one place at a time, and Assassin Joshua>>>Rennac.
  18. Just curious, who did you vote for, RFof? Tangerines keeps mentioning that you and she have proven something while you haven't really said much specifically on who's better.
  19. If no one at all dies in both books you get a special ending.
  20. Lord: Sigurd Paladin: Seth/FE9 Titania General: FE10 Gatrie Halberdier/Sentinel: Nephenee GK: Duessel/Kyle (Route) Mage Knight: Lute Sage: Not sure Druid: Canas Bishop: Moulder Warrior: FE9 Boyd Berserker: Dart? Valkyries: Priscilla. Ranger/Nomadic Trouper: Gerik Hero: Dieck. Any other answer is just wrong. Except maybe Ike. Swordmaster: Tough. FE4 has a ton of uber ones, Rutger's great, Mia's great... Sniper: Shinon. FE10 Thief: Colm. But not by much. Wyvern Rider/Lord/etc.: FE10 Haar. Falcoknight: Book 2 Paola Axe Knight: Lex Lance Knight: FE9 Oscar Sword Knight: Not sure Bow Knight: FE9 Astrid Dragon: Fa Think that's all of them.
  21. Just lost my post. Dang browser. Anyways, I'll admit that Nino wins in a ranked run. However MOST people don't particularly care about those, myself included. Lilina's potshots don't do anything? I guess helping your other units to ORKO isn't helpful. Meanwhile Nino also needs to be walled in unless there's only one enemy nearby (unlikely), and sometimes even then. And she doesn't ever give them anything in return. Lilina eventually becomes good because, believe it or not, if we're seriously using her, we'll, y'know, have her ATTACK. And in the process of becoming good she does to some helpful things (someone doesn't want to take a counter? Lilina can weaken the enemy first) while Nino is only a negative. She also needs to be walled in as well as requiring you to intentionally sandbag your team. Yeah, none of this "Lilina can't attack because it isn't efficient, but we can slow down and make our team significantly worse in order to use Nino!" crap.
  22. Doesn't stack? Dang. Think I'm back to SM. 15 uses>3 uses. I'd rather field Joshua than Rennac, and then there are times when Colm isn't enough on his own (Chapter 19 and Endgame have chests on both sides of the map. Although one of the endgame ones is a master seal, which is useless unless we're using Ewan/Amelia) That's why it doesn't count for much. Again, though, it's there. What if a sniper comes towards you and just into Joshua's vision and you have a flier close by? With Assassin Josh, they'd live, without, they'd die. One more thing, though. Does assassin get the 100% pickup rate for the desert?
  23. If you need them. This game throws you a ton of promo items. And then there's the master seal. Now, if you DO need them, then I'd say that they're the most valuable thing, but I doubt you need many. Plus Killing Edges are only 1300 a piece, so it's not like they're hugely expensive. And Shamshirs are only 1200, although I don't know if/when they're buyable. If Josh has 30 CRIT against an enemy as an assassin, then he has a 40.5% chance to either critical or activate lethality on any one attack. SM Josh has a 45%. If Assassin Josh has 40 CRIT, he has a 55% chance to crit/lethality vs. SM Josh's... 55% chance to critical. As long as Josh can get his hands on high crit weapons, the chances are virtually identical. Edit: @ RFoF: Even sounds about right to me. Right now I feel that Assassin>SM, but it's by such a small amount that it could easily change.
  24. Cuz we totally can't afford to buy expensive weapons late in the game. If we give Assassin Josh Killing Edges/Shamshirs, then his crit + Lethality will be roughly equal to SM Josh's crit. If the only enemies that is useful for are uncommon, then so are the enemies that SM crit is useful for. The fact that I see it as a tiebreaker means that it means just about nothing. It's there, but it's not much.
  25. Silencer + Crit is close to Crit + 15. Especially with the (slight) level lead which means that SM has no real leads. Lockpicks and vision is really just a tiebreaker IMO.
