Exactly, you need good combat units at the beginning. After that, not so much. Alan and Lance don't have particularly good combat at the beginning. TBH they're not even that much better than Roy for the first few chapters because they don't out-damage him by much (especially if he uses Rapier) and they can only take like one more hit than him? And I think his AVO is (slightly) better due to more LUK. So all they're really doing is chipping at the same usefulness as Roy. By the time they become better than him, you have Zealot and Dieck and Rutger, and once they start passing Zealot, you don't even need a whole bunch of combat units for chipping anymore, and then before they can start ORKOing you have Miledy and Percival and the like. Availability is important, and it's why Lance and Alan are still among the most useful combat units in the game. But that's still after Marcus and Percival and Miledy and Dieck and Rutger and probably Zealot too, because being the best for a time is still more useful than being replaceable the whole game. Look at FE7. Athos is there for one chapter and is still arguably more useful than someone like Dorcas or Bartre, who are there the whole time.

I think I'm in favour of lynching GB over Refa. The real basis of his argument against Refa is really just that Scorri gave him ninja and defended him. Anything beyond that is mostly just padding/repetition, which isn't actually all that bad if you're still saying something, and graspy reasoning, which tbh I'm not really seeing. The thing that mostly makes me feel that GB is scummy is because in some places he counters Refa's defence by saying "WIFOM is invalid, Scorri buddied with you because you're scum" and then in other places he counters it by going one stage further in WIFOM. Mainly, he said at least once that "Scorri buddied with you because she knew others would think that her buddying with you made you town".

That's scummy as fuck if Weapons ever does end up flipping though when it's not necessary. Alternatively you could read it as the mafia giving Refa Ninja because they were going to kill the Tracker anyways.

There's no reason to switch when Jalmont is already ahead in votes though if you're Weapons's buddy. Pretty sure I've gone through most of this on N1, but: Shinori is probably not mafia due to starting the Weapons wagon. Plus if he's scum it'll be obvious soon enough if he's still alive. Scum could WIFOM and try to leave him alive but that just leads to clears and/or a guilty. Boron is probably not mafia due to swinging the vote from 6-6 to 7-5 at a point when everyone online was voting Weapons and would have had to switch to Jalmont to secure a lynch. Refa is less likely to be scum because of the Paperblade reaction test. Kirsche was assigned Hated Townie, and Objection = cop clear. I think Kay's stubbornness in attacking Boron even after three people were voting her for it is more likely to be town, and her frustration also felt town. That leaves you. One of the "not-mafias" (likely Shinori/Boron/Kirsche because my read on them is specifically not-mafia instead of town) is probably the SK and I'll worry about that after at least three mafia are down.

I didn't say "you are scummy for asking not to be inspected". At first I said that I supposed I'd be okay with you getting shot because you hadn't actually said as much as I thought you had. She never said a single thing directly about him, which is sort of weird seeing as he was on the cusp of being a wagon, and he had a semi-push on her due to the Jalmont kill, but then never went anywhere with that He had a post talking about how she was defending Refa a lot, but that was pretty waffly and ended up saying she looked less likely to be scum. Then later when Paper said that he was calling a lot of people scummy, he called her a town/null read and said that he'd never called her scummy. Kay needs to come back. I don't remember her posting anything after the spat with Boron near the beginning of D2.

But I've never said "he wouldn't be that scummy" as scum, which was your argument as to why I was scummy for going along with the case on you. And you have in fact pulled the exact same thing as scum before, as I pointed out, so I have no guarantee that you wouldn't do that as scum. Though I'd rather someone who I actually think is scummy like Blitz/Ether/Kay get shot, I wouldn't mind if I got shot because at least I wouldn't die. But I'll be super pissed off if I get lynched based off this shit during a time when I only have 600 words that are going to get paraphrased to my defence.

I still don't even know why I'm scummy beyond me not townreading people all over the place. Me not townreading Paper earlier being the reason for it is even dumber because the only time I've even come close to saying "too scummy to be scum" is Kirsche in SFMM3, and that was more based on Kirsche specifically rather than what he was doing.

I'm not saying not to test it, I'm saying that lying about it would be dumb when the lynch is a vigshot. I've already faked lynchproof once; I'm not going to do it again. And BPV is an LPV in this situation. No, it doesn't confirm that the vig is the courier, but wasn't that your first assumption?

There is no reason for me to claim BPV if I weren't one, since in this situation I'm effectively claiming LPV and am likely to get shot or "lynched" just to test it. Unless you're suggesting that BPV is something that only scum might have.

To elaborate on you pulling stuff like this before, your play in .hack was practically the same, where you lurked/coasted for a while, started trolling the game, and then basically claimed scum (though there it got you two lynches).

You'll have to shoot me twice to kill me. I have a BPV. I purposely only used three of my Courier messages (Rein, Kirsche, Rein) so that I wouldn't make it obvious that I wasn't the Vig to the mafia, because I didn't expect the Vig to just claim N1 anyways. I have zero reason to fake being the Vig even if I were scum. As for me backpedaling, hardly. How is "it could be WIFOM" backpedaling? Backpedaling would be giving an excuse to distance myself away from the lynch after pushing it. "It could be WIFOM" is me pushing the lynch anyways because you and Prims pull stuff like this all the time. Probably won't be back for at least another 12 hours.

The difference is that I believe you fully capable of WIFOM and I know you know how to actually put effort into the game and you're clearly not atm beyond taking potshots at me. If you're town, who else do you think is scum other than me?
