  1. ...not Mario Baseball game I wanted, but hey, if its good, Ill take it! ;3
  2. Darn it, I just got Mario Maker for the Wii U too...oh well!
  3. While I would pray IS leave the original stuff like game mechanics intact(because I love these games how they are...for the most part), I want them to add: PoR: Maniac Mode(because I love this game and I want to see how more fun[difficult] it can get! I don't mind a good challenge!) and, while this wasn't such a big issue for me, speed up the animations a bit. RD:Maybe change some growths for characters like Fiona and Meg(they could be better...especially Meg), and Actual S.U.P.P.O.R.T.S.! Both: Better Data transfer, add some cut stuff that would've been fine in the game, and...I guess Casual Mode for those who want it. Gotta sell those games as best as they can, right? ;3
  4. Hmmm...Kinda hard to say since most of the unites are pretty good...or at least decent... But if I had to choose...either Devdan, Rhys, or one of the Laguz...maybe..
  5. I personally don't immediately hate it. It feels a bit oit of left field, yes, but that doesn't mean it's gonna suck. Like mentioned before, TMS#FE was a really good game, despite what it looked or seemed liked. The same can go for games like PM:Color Splash and M:Federation Force. Don't hate them, just...doesn't seem as appealing. But hey, they could be good...or not. I try to keep a mind frame I had with Fire Emblem. I'm not really sure about it, but if I give it a chance, it might be better than I think (heck, Fire Emblem is one of my favorite video game series now because I had that mindset)! But that's just me...
  6. Oh, they're still doing games? I thought I heard Konami went into the pachinko business...guess not. Anywho......it's...something to say the very least. Metal Gear going Resident Evil(maybe 5 or 6). And online! Yay(?) ......yeah, I don't have much to add here. EXCEPT that this series is good...with Kojima. Don't know how things will turn out now... Dear lord... 2K/24K(Like/Dislike) The salt/hate is real! ;3
  7. (Just to say this now, some of my reasons may not seem very good. That's probably because I forgot some stuff in some games like FE6 that I haven't played in a while, so...hopefully you'll forgive some of my choices...) FE6 Peak:Sue,Geese, and Dieck...nuff said. ;3 I'm kiding(...somewhat). Fir & Noah's and Clarine & Rutger's supports. RB:(this may not count, but...)The Hit rate system. I may dislike Arcadia, but that's ONE chapter! Its honestly the main thing that keeps me from liking the game as much because it's a good game! But...oh well...(I'm sorry, but...I want to like that game more then I do...) FE7 Peak:Ninian's Death Her death, the theme that plays, everything in that moment that REALLY hits the feels...*sniff*(maybe not SUPER strong, but the setup is good enough for it) (Also, Lyn. Nuff said...) RB: Chapter 26(all because of Jaffar. I understand the reasons for plot, but gamplay wise...good luck getting ch.26x in one go...) FE8 Peak:Jehanna(honestly the whole time you're there, but specifically the Desert chapter) One of my personal favorite Desert chapters that's pretty fun. Not to mention the two bosses(who I send specific people to fight for obvious reasons...) ;3 RB:......I can't remember clearly, but something to do with Ephraim...porbably a reason why I don't like(or play) his route as much...(probably a chapter I can't remember right now... FE9 Peak:There is a specific Base conversation after the chapter where you fight Jill's father. Jill talks to a lady that knows her and she goes on how Crimea is to blame for the current crisis(the water flooding that Petrine forced Jill's father to do) and how they're invading Daein and so on and so on. Just...so much hate. So why do I like it? Well, it always stuck with me from my very first playthrough. Crimea is the one that got Invaded and is currently in shambles, yet...they're the bad guys for trying to retake their Kingdom? It's surprising how the "Heroes" can be viewed as even though they were done wrong by another country's King(who started the whole war in the first place). Also, I imagine Jill already feels like she's betraying them and THAT conversation didn't help her feel any better about it... (Edit: Also, Ike and Soren's support. Really shows their character, especially Soren)! Best budds for life! ;3) RB:The actual Black Knight Fight. Now while I've personally never lost the fight(even on my first playthrough), but this fight comes down to luck(a.k.a. Aether) and if Ike has close to maxed out a few of his stats(because Eclipse hurts like heck and can probably kill you in one shot if one or two stats are too low...)! The setup is awesome! The execution? Eh...could've been better, but it could've been worse. FE10 Peak:Part 2. All of it. It's surprising what hate and fear can make people do. Elincia has it pretty rough dealing a uprising (that exists because someone feels like they can do a better job at ruling when Elincia is already doing a great job as is) and even sheads some tears from a bit of a breakdown, but in the end she pulls through and becomes an even stronger Queen! (Also, the secret base conversation between Ike and Soren in before the final boss Part 4 if you brought Soren and met certain conditions. Gotten only the Second playthrough and onward. Pretty much fills in some blanks for their past. Again, best budds for life! ;3) RB:Micaiah, all of Part 4. She gets thrown to the back and almost has no purpose at that point which kinda sucks because despite some issues in Part 3(where her character isn't as good as part 1), I really like her Character. But she gets forgotten and overshadowed by Ike mostly(especially during the last moments of the final boss...something that you NEED Ike for to win...or you're screwed)!. And while I do really like Ike......this was Micaiah's game...Yune should've gained her own form instead of taking over Micaiah's body(it's pretty obvious that she can during her last convesation with Ike about her staying in Tellius, but...*sigh*...) Although, a certain Zelguis Flashback(only viewable 2'nd playthroughs and onward after meeting certain conditions), comes in a VERY close second... FE13 Peak: The chapter where Emmerny dies(I forget the name and number). You would think with Marth's(Lucina) help from the future and Robin's tactics would bring victory? NOPE! Things take a 180 pretty darn fast and go south to the worse degree. But this does help in the long though... RB:Valdiar dying...then suddenly he's back. My memory may not be clear on this(haven't touched Awakening in a good while), but is no one gonna question how the heck he came back? Sure you could say Grima but,...it just doesn't make sense. He's one note during the first arc(Gangrel Arc), but TOTALLY important for the last one(Grima Arc)! I think it's SLIGHTLY mentioned in game(very slightly like, "haven't we meet before". Something to that degree), but that's it! Maybe it's not as bad as I say, but...jeez...what the heck... FE14(CQ) Peak: Chapter 10 Difficult, but fair. And it gave me Beruka, which I'm happy for because she's awesome(maybe not Jill or Harr levels, but she's pretty close up there for me)! RB: The stairway chapter(I think that's chapter 21...) BUMP. THAT. CHAPTER! Fighting hard hitting enemies(Faceless) that slowly respawn below you isn't too bad. It sucks when you have to worry about hard hitting enemies that can hit you about 4 or so spaces away and from above you! (I took a month break from that game for that chapter alone......its a load of BULL!) Edit: Corrin. Nuff said...
  8. A point I probably should have added earlier(and will edit in a little later), was that with the new space that the 2D sprite graphics could open up, IS could go the FE4 route with the next game's story and have a story that spans 2 generations(if they insist on keeping children units)since the amount of money to pay for 3DS cartridges wouldn't be too big of a worry(because the more the space needed, the more money needed for a bigger cartridge. There are 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB cartridges I believe, and each cost a certain price, times the total amount of games a game company want to make...which can be quite a lot if they need ALOT of space)! I'm fine with 3D and/or 2D, but I want a(nother) FE game where the children units fit into things a lot better because then...what's the point of them being there? That's more work that could've been used elsewhere! (Maybe it could work well if it was on a home console? *wink* *wink*)
  9. Edit: Describing and giving an example messed up the post, so for it to be easier, here's a picture of how! Hope it helps!
  10. Oh darn it, I forgot about Project X Zone! That would be a great example! I could probably edit a picture of that in......later! ;3
  11. So lately some ideas for a new FE game has been brewing in my head for a while and I was hoping to share...and possibly hear what others have to say about it. For the sake of not having one super ginormous post, I'll separate each specific category via spoiler tags. Wouldn't want you to get TOO lost now. (Will be using Gifs, just so you know) [spoiler=Graphics] First things first, the graphics. This might be weird to start off, but this has purpose that connect to my ideas. Now, while I do enjoy the looks of Awakening, Fates, and just 3D in-general, I kinda want to see IS go back to 2D sprites(even if just for a little while). This is for two reasons: 1.)Space Now both Awakening and Fates if you download it from the Eshop is around 1 GB. Fire Emblem 7 and 8 are around 11 MB and even Fire Emblem Genealogy of the Holy War is half of that. So what's my point? Well, FE 7,8, and 4 had a lot of content even though they were on such a lower budget and were limited space wise. If they could do SO much with so little, what about now? The limits for space is much greater nowadays and using the 2D sprites could lower the amount of space needed for the 3D graphics. 2.)The Aesthetics Ok, who has seen Sonic Mania, Street Fighter Alpha, etc? Well if you have, imagine.... Imagine If this... ...were smoothed out like this... ...now that isn't to say the original sprites couldn't work(and I know I'm kinda using two totally different game genres to make a point), but...you know...dem purtty 2D sprite grafics..! [spoiler=Gameplay] If my choice of 2D graphics say a lot, I would kinda hope things work like FE4(or with a mixture of FE7)...in some ways. Mostly its 2 generations. Since IS seems to be liking the children mechanics, why not go back to the root of where it started(and the probably the best use of said mechanic)! -Supports: As for the supports, have them be limited/specific like before. Maybe keep the "no restriction of how many you do" that Awakening added, but for the most part, let each character have limited/specific supports and not have everyone support with 90% of the Army because then you have to make some cuts in the writing department that can affect the quality(an issue that both Awakening and Fates have, but more so Fates since it had about double the size of characters and it was made more apparent). -Weapons: "To have durability, or to not have durability? That is the question!" Honestly, while it kinda doesn't matter......I kinda want it back. but that's more because I kinda like it more, but that's just me... [spoiler=Story] And now for the good stuff! (This first part is backstory stuff and is a bit shakey, but...the second part, the main story parts, are more well thought out. Hopefully you can bare with me a bit with what I came up with...if you can......) They say that long ago, In the land of Enturia(could have a better name), there were originally 2 races that roamed the land. The wise and powerful Dragons and the magical beings Espers. Dragons were powerfully in brute strength while espers were powerful in raw magic power. Both beings stayed with their own kind and stayed far away from the other species. They even went as far as to divide their lands off from one another. One day, a young dragon and esper met while venturing out and slowly became friends. This caused them to wonder why was their such a divisions among their races when they saw that there wasn't much issues they saw with one another. A desire to unify they're divided kinds arose within them. While many were quite unsure of such a friendship, in time, with their bond shown to both their kinds, others began to slowly do the same. However, some dragons saw the espers as weak beings they should not be around with some espers feeling that the dragons would bring about only destuction and pain with their power. In order to change the mind of their kinsmen, some choose to alter their appearance to look similar and even weaken their powers. The forms they took on were the ancestors to humans of the world, creating the third race of the land. This, however, somewhat backfired and caused many to either disown them from their race or leave them uncertain to whether this was good or bad. Eventually tensions rose and the bond between the races were both deepened and divided even more so! It wasn't until one opposing dragon decided to attack another esper......leading to war. The now transformed "humans" wished to stopped the war without violence, but they knew that this was only the beginning of...... "A large piece of the document is ripped in two and you cannot read any further..." Now fast forward 2000 years later...(Civilization is formed!) In Euturia, there are 5 nations. Qilin, Jyrone, Kaycil, Dainon, and Lydeon(sorry if these are a bit uncreative. Only 2 had really much thought put into them). Dainon reigns in the northwest, Kaycil reigns to the north, Jyrone reigns to the northeast, Qilin reigns to the eastsouth, and Lydeon reigns eastwest. Now for each main story idea! 1.)Dainon was once was a peaceful kingdom, but without notice, Kaycil suddenly invades Dainon! With the country of Dainon being much smaller than Kaycil, it is slowly being overtaken and in just a few months, it will be completely be overtaken. Enter Rachel, a mage studying the dark arts who prefer to keep to herself and her sister Kris, a knight in-training who is Rachel's inspiration! Their mother(a swordmaster), father(A sage), and a few other friends start a rebellion to rebel against Kaycil. However, the sudden attack left some of country disbanded and many fear they'll need much more help to fight back. So, Rachel's father takes a small force to the neighboring country Jyrone while Rachel's mother stays behind to get as much help back home as she can. However, during his absence, the main rebellion force that Rachel's mother controlled is attacked. While they can fight back the attackers, Rachel's mother is greatly injured and, while lives, cannot fight with her injures for a some time. With her out of commission, the rebellion is thrown into a panic! However, Rachel, while usually quiet and keeps to herself, suddenly gains the courage to calm the rebellion and encourages them to keep fighting despite not having a leader! While this does calm them down, some suggest that someone else takes command until her mother recovers and/or her father returns with help. With not many having experience in leadership, they are unsure who would fit the role. It's then when Kris nominates Rachel to be the leader! Rachel is completely against this, seeing how that would make her responsible for the lives of the rebellion and she feels as though that the hope and lives of Dainon, even if for a brief moment, shouldn't be put into her hands! Kris then reassures that she's more capable then she realizes and that she will help Rachel when she needs it. While the people are unsure themselves, they put their faith into Rachel and follow her on her quest to save their homeland! 2.)One day, the prince of Qilin is nearly assasinated and blame has been pointed towards Lydeon, who claim they are innocent. To make matters worse, when Lydeon trys to peacefully resolve the issue, reports of an attack on a village on the border lines of Lydeom reach the throne. Survivors from the attack say the attackers looked like they were knights from Qilin. This causes much tension between the two countries and bringing them to the brink of war. Enter Silvia, a cocky axe wielding mercenary who lives in Qilin, but sometimes travels back and forth from Lydeon. She is accompanied by her partners Dyna, a calm and level-headed rapier fighter, and Jack, a skilled fire mage who is totally goofball. The mercenaries are given a job from a man said to be a servant from the king's palace to recover a very special item from a group of bandits that he's "needs to get back posthatse" and will handsomely pay them for the job. He even goes as far to show a royal seal that are only given to those who work in the castle. Dyna is quite suspicious and wants to decline due to how "odd" it was for someone from the palace to ask some random mercenaries, but Silvia and Jack feel like this may be an opportunity to get some connects to the palace and maybe even brighten their futures! Upon defeating the surprisingly weak bandits and recovering the item, Dyna recognizes the item is none other then the Royal Heirloom of the Lydeon royal family, The Fire Emblem! When returning to their employer, they find not just him, but the Royal Knights at his side! He then claims that the royal Heirloom is in the possessions in the hands "Qilin mercenaries"! Silvia tries to argue with their now former client, but the knights ignore them and quickly move in to capture them! While the mercenaries escape, but this news reaches the palace! This not only causes war to be declared, but Silvia, Jack, and Dyna are labeled criminals by both countries! While running and hiding for their lives, the mercenaries are unintentionally saved by a married couple named Duncas and Joanna, who recently came from Jyrone to do business with a certain shopkeeper, but decided to turn back when words of war started to spread. (These ideas are a bit rough around the edges, but with some work, they could be much better!) So......what do you guys think? Is it good, is bad, does it need work, etc. Tell me what you think! Maybe even leave your own ideas!
  12. So kinda like an Anti-Hero? Hhhmmm...could work...
  13. Hey, you mind if I make a thread for FE game/story ideas later? I've had a lot of ideas brewing in this head of mine for a whule now(and more so now thanks to this thread) and it's gonna go way off this thread's topic(and go on for a good long while).
  14. Oh yeah, kinda forgot about story based promotions! I always did like them. Sure FE lords like Roy have ones that are bad timed and Eliwood's is a bit iffy(but not TOO bad), most story promotions are well timed! Ike from PoR comes to mind again. It's a good point for story and progress(since in Chapter 17, you're gonna want him lvl.20 or real close for part 3 & 4). By that point, you've had a good enough time to train Ike and everyone else you like to use right up to where they can promote. And considering what happens going forward(you start leading an army), the timing just feels right on the nose! Story Promotions can work if planned out well enough!
  15. Guess you can say that sums things up mostly! ;3 But you forgot the most important thing......the hair color! Hair color=Power Levels don't ya know? ;P (Ok, jokes aside...)That and maybe have a definite female FE lord (no gender choices) this time around. We need to spice things up! ;3
  16. Who said they wanted "Anti Corrin"(anti is opposite...and that creates another problem, right...)? We want to see other approachs to an FE lord. We aren't specifically saying we want them completely flawed, but that they GROW into better people. That's kinda human nature. We make mistakes in life, but we learn from them and become better for it and grow from experiences so that we can avoid making the same or similar mistakes again. Also, it isn't just Corrin with issues. Other Lords have issues too.
  17. Maybe they could have purple hair(or green or "light" blue) Maybe something like this?
  18. Mostly that comes to my mind is Golden Sun. More so the first game than the second, but that's because of length since both are pretty fun. It's not too hard to pick up and if you're not going 100%, it's not gonna hurt you too much(except maybe skipping over Djinn, which may make things a bit harder later on and if you want to transfer stuff over to the second game later). There's also Sonic Chronicles Dark Brotherhood, buuut...I'm sure you want "good" short rpgs(that game is...ok... and a bit hit & miss). ;3
  19. I want a FE Lord that has the ability to lead, even if they think they don't. Someone who learns from their and others mistakes. Someone who, while struggling with hardships, can still keep on a smile or can still give encouragement to those that follow them. They don't need to be the strongest one around, just capable of the tasks at hand. Someone who is down to earth and you can understand and/or sympathize with. I just want an FE lord to be...well...someone that a real person could feel like and say "if I was in the situation, I would probably do that or choose that". ......ok,Maybe that's stretching things a bit, but it's easier to understand or relate to a character when you feel like they are kinda reacting like a real person would in their current situation...if that makes any sense. Heck, it would interesting to see a FE Lord start out unsure and afraid to lead others because they don't want to be responsible for the death of anyone, but grows into someone that realizes that they have what it takes to be a leader because they care for the lives of those who follow them and want to end the current conflict with whoever they can and as many people as they can. Edit: And maybe have them be a bit sarcastic......I like good sarcasm. ;3 Which class doesn't matter either, but maybe let them have OTHER weapon choices than Swords(heck, give them dark magic to spice things up!) I can second this.Climbing the ranks to BECOME a noble/royal kinda shows that they worked to get where they are. Nothing against those who are already nobles, but the growth in comparison is much different.......both are still interesting though! The hair or gender can be whichever, but a female lord would be a nice change of pace though...
  20. (Aw darn it, I was thinking of making a topic for this too...DARN YOU PROCRASTINATION!!!......oh well, at least it was made at all. Anywho, to my actual opinion...) If IS were to make remakes to ANY game, they shouldn't change ANYTHING......somewhat. What I mean is that they may Awakenize /Fates it and change things. To that I say "NO"! If they remake a game: -Update the graphics(maybe keep aesthetics similar to the original...like keep FE7 colorful) -Add causal mode for the newbies -Maybe add 1 or 2 things that may be minor Other than that, CHANGE NOTHING ELSE! Keep that game's mechanics, supports, story, writing as a whole...INTACT and just like the original! All they need to do is make those games more approachable and there you go! Everyone is happy( for the most part)! I(and most FE veterans for that matter) love the older games for a reason! Not to say Awakening or Fates sucks or anything because they are good & fun games(with some issues), but the older games, while not perfect either, I just prefer them more for many reasons. While part of me fears what IS would do to a remake of an older game(that was released in the US), a big part of me wants to see them try! Once they do, I'll see how I feel about it and whether they should do it again or not. As for which game...? Hhhmmm...I'll probably say FE7 seeing how it was the first game released worldwide and it deserves some more attention then some games. But hey, that's just me... (Also, make the Avatar, Mark, in that game have more presence...and personality...and NOT have supports with EVERYONE! Please and thank you! ;3 ) (Edit: Would love remakes for the Tellius games too for many reasons......but partly for my wallet's sake...)
  21. Now this is something that has had my interest since the "Fates Skin ship" debate before Fates came out(you know, the one where we had to wait days before getting confirmation of Skin ship's removal......for whatever reason). And after Tokyo Mirage Seesion #FE came out, I just had to ask what others think about localization/censorship. When it comes to Localization/censorship (and this is my personal opinion), while it's something I haven't really payed a lot of attention to until...earlier this year actually( maybe a little in 2015...), my impressions are people seem to be up in-arms most of the time about it. While I can kinda understand why since people like to get the same content as others do and don't want to treated like we can't handle certain things in a game, but I can't help but feel like it's treated as something as bad all the time. And I personally think it isn't bad all the time. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't(like how people appearently back before it's release, Bravely Default was gonna have some Localization changes and some people got ticked......till people found out WHAT and HOW MUCH was changed...for the better. Another example could be...well...the skin ship thing in Fates, but that's something that's been debated about a lot already a couple months back and a good amount of people, including me, were divided on that matter...). Then again, it might be WHO is doing the Localizating/censoring...or not. Not really sure. ;P So what do you guys think? Like it, hate it, neutral(...spaghetti)? ;P
  22. It mainly comes down to one's opinion. Personally, Awakening and Fates are enjoyable games and have some redeeming qualities, but I can't look over the issues these games have! It would do it injustice! Also, not EVERYONE complains just to complain. The games have issues and for a series that many people love passionately, they want to voice their opinions so maybe the next game improves. EVERY FE game have issues, even the well liked Tellius games(trust and believe me. I love those games, but even I have my issues with those games). If issues are there, they're there. However, don't get worked up over valid criticism(not saying ALL complaints are valid......you get what I mean)!
