  1. I honestly don't mind tropes as long as that doesn't define their entire character as a whole(...and maybe if they are made interesting enough for fun supports and not pushed in your face to annoying degrees)! A bad example would be Peri...who gets pretty annoying with the whole "murder everyone" thing. Supports help you understand and develop a character. A lot of(or most of) Peri's supports don't! (Thank God in her support with Laslow, he gets her to actually THINK about her murderous actions. And their S support actually got an "D'aaaww" outta me for how sweet it was...which was surprising )! A good example, in my opinion, is Arthur. Sure he has bad luck, but he tries to help others as much as can DESPITE his bad luck! And while after a couple supports which...kinda made me worry for that guy(because his luck can get him killed), I kinda admire his determination to help and care for others with the odds against him! Not the best example, but he's better than some others on my opinion( COUGH*CAMILLA*COUGH)! (Seriously, Camilla was almost as bad as, or worse than, Cordelia and Tharja with the whole obsession thing......and kinda made it creepy for me...there's sisterly love, but...jeez...) Also, just to say... Severa got better as Selena(somewhat) Owain got worse as Odin(sad to say...) And Indigo got better as Laslow(best out of the three) What makes it worse is that previous lords, Like Eliwood and Eirika, have had similar issues like not liking to fight or kill and losing people they care about. However, unlike Corrin, they actually grow stronger and learn from what happens during everything going on(and they had to deal with losing ALOT, but they weren't depressed for a super long time because they figured that that wouldn't change anything and that they need to end the conflict that lead to how things are)! Also, in my opinion, Corrin feels generic. Sure, he's a nice guy, but I can't tell what kind of person he is! I can for all the other FE lords, but Corrin is just...*sigh*...standard and not very interesting to me... And to think his sibling(mostly the Nohr side) are SO much more interesting! Heck, even Elise could've been a better protagonist considering that in some supports she tries to better herself and help make the world a better place/more peaceful and united kinda like Corrin( and she has screwed up AND been scorned for by people like Xander in her support with him)! Some People may not like her(I personally think she's pretty alright), but she at least HAS a personality and grows stronger! Another thing is that I felt Awakening and Fates had a bit of weird difficulty shifts. Not to say the older games didn't have them, but they seem more apparent in Awakening and Fates! Some chapters are easy as pie, some are fairly challenging, and some are a load of bull(*glares at chap.21 of Conquest*)! I honestly feel more likely to replay the older games more then these newer ones. I don't hate them, but I kinda feel like I don't enjoy them as much. Writing especially(that took a nosedive)! I think they need to not have children unless they did what FE4 did, because then you have some many supports that compromises are made to cut down on how much unique stuff is written and that can lead to some VERY bad writing! Make them limited and specific to certain people again. I'll take less suports with more quality over 100+ supports and only half are really good while the other half is very debatable!
  2. PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO FIRST BEFORE MAKING ASSUMPTIONS, PLEASE AND THANK YOU! So one of the channels on YouTube I subscribed to, CRASHX500, talked what Awakening and Fates did for the FE series...for better or worse, and I'd thought that he had some good points in the video that I wanted others to hear! You may not agree with(or maybe even like) everything he says, but hey, this is mainly his opinion on the matter(and it's nice to hear others opinions......when they actually have valid/understandable points)! Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!
  3. Personally on the NX because we could get another game like FE9 or FE10...(I can hope)! I doubt it would be on the Wii U(unfortunately)......unless its a remake or something. It's most likely gonna be on the 3DS since most people have one, but an NX title would be appreciated(or heck, even the Wii U, but we have Tokyo Mirage Sessions on the Wii U, which is good enough honestly if we don't). If it's on the 3DS, it will probably use a similar system to Fates(but hopefully with a little better writing...sorry...). If its on a home console, we could get something fresh and new(or even a remake...which I would love!)! They'll have more processing power to mess around with! But that's just me... ;3
  4. Now, that's the ONE thing that bummed me out about Sonic Mania. There are no Nintendo consoles for the game. I kinda wondered why since it doesn't seem very hard to run on a 3DS or, heck, even the Wii U. I guess since the NX is coming out next year, but still...(at least have it come to the NX or something...)Also, I heard Sonic Mania is download only... Tails' Channel(where I heard this): http://youtu.be/CA9VwRvdhpU
  5. Now that I had more time think about things, I've thought of my own possible plot for Project Sonic 2017. This is all speculation, but I thought it would be fun to share! Game Titie: Sonic Generations 2: The Dark Future Premise: Dr.Eggman's future self comes from the future and secretly helps Dr.Eggman take over the world. Sonic, who was busy fighting Eggman of his time is surprised to find the state of his world and is somewhat overwhelmed by the power the two Eggmans. During the midst of this, Classic Sonic is brought to the present through unknown reasons by a mysterious figure that wishes to help Sonic fix history. However, two Eggmans are tougher than than one, so both Sonics and their friends form a resistance to fight back to not only defeat both Eggmans, but to set time straight! -Another thing, both Eggmans have the 7 Chaos Emeralds of the future, but the ones to get in the present are a race against time! (Edit)-A certain hedgehog from the future and a certain princess from another dimension are also here to help Sonic... Gameplay: Refined Generations gameplay. -Classic Sonic has all 2D sections and Modern Sonic has all 3D sections. -Like Adveture 2, there will two other gameplay styles with one of Sonic's friends, but will simply, easy to handle, and won't be slow. -There will be extra missions that have varies missions, but those are not required to beat the game. Just for 100%. (Edit)-There will be 8 zones with an extra "crossover" zone which levels are based off other SEGA franchises(Ex.Nights) , some extra bosses, time attack mode, and a boss rush mode! So what do you think? It's a bit of a stretch, but it could work...right? :3
  6. Clement, oh definitely yes! Don't know who MegaGWolf is(although the name sounds familiar)... Are they any good(channel wise because I'm never subscribed to too many people)?
  7. Oooh man...this. THIS. This is freakin'awesome! 2D and 3D Sonic! Now everyone can be happy(...hopefully...)! Sonic Mania just reminds me of how much I played Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles on Sonic Mega Collection as a kid! I've been meaning/craving to play some 2D Sonic for a while now, and now I have an excuse. From the looks of things, this game looks like Sega tooks bits of Sonic 1,2,3 & Knuckles, and CD, put in the ingredient "quality", put it in a blender and came up with this concoction! Not saying it's bad, just saying they just took what worked before and are just improving it! As for Project Sonic, or what I will call "Sonic Generations 2:The Dark Future" for now, can't say much since we haven't seen much. I will say though from what I have seen, the implied premise seems interesting. Also, it seems like Eggman took over or something. Unless Sonic screwed up or something, something went seriously wrong. Something that I heard someone say that this might be a parallel universe he's in, hence the "join the resistance" thing. We'll see where this goes... As for both games, I just want them to be good. That's all I want. Please Sega...make this a Sonic Unleashed and not an Sonic 06... Yes! Someone else here that knows he exists! Thank God!
  8. Gotta thank the FE series for that mindset. I was kinda unsure of the game at first with the whole "permadeath" thing as a kid, but I gave it a shot and now it's one of my favorite video game series of all time. I try to always keep that in mind when trying out new games(unless the game just isn't my thing, like FPS's...minus Metroid Prime, or doesn't interests me enough) because "this game could be another FE" or something close along those lines! Also, isn't it ironic that the game everyone was looking at and had such popularity kinda fell short, but the game that has kinda been shunned by a good amount of people has turned out to be such a great game. The gaming world can be cruel sometimes...(Not hating on Mighty No.9, but what the game is is what the game is. Plain and simple). At least I still got Bloodstained, Shantae:Half Genie Hero, and Hat in Time to hope for(and I know that Bloodstained is looking mighty well right now)! ;3
  9. While they have their hits and misses, Atlus and IS do some good work on the games they make and from all the gameplay I've seen of this game, I feel like it'll be a good time. That and I'm almost always willing to give new games a try and I have a little faith in this game's quality( especially considering this is the first game I've ever pre-ordered and payed $60 for...so yeah...) Also, I would be surprised if they actually made a sequel, but as long as the game is good, I'm (for the most part) all for it! (Oh, and whether it's a "improved" version or sequel, I just kinda hope they have a Wii U and NX version for the sake of those who still own a Wii U and not a NX yet. It would be more accessible and I kinda prefer that because, for example, as great as a game Persona 4 Golden is...it being on another console[a handheld] doesn't exactly make it easy to get. Then again, if the rumors are true, who knows when the game is coming out)
  10. I'm happy to hear the good scores this game's been getting! If people actually give the game a real chance, they may end up liking it(that's why I love the FE and really like the SMT series now)! I was actually thinking of skipping the Wii U and wait for the NX since I haven't got a Wii U yet(I just got my first job a few months ago), but this game kinda made me crack and I'm just gonna get a Wii U next month(I even pre-ordered the game because...well...gotta support these kinds of niche games!) Maybe the game isn't a system seller(and maybe getting a Wii U now isn't a very wise decision), but I have a feeling this won't be ported to the NX(because it doesn't have a big enough audience like Splatoon or Mario Maker, even if it is a good game) and I really wanted to play this game(and a few others like Pokken) so......bump it, getting a Wii U! ;3 Edit: And now I wait for GameXplain's review of the game!
  11. I honestly feel like they should have tooken out battles and just went the Super Paper Mario route and made it more of a platformer with puzzles and let your color powers let you find secrets and goodies(not sure if that is in the game or not, but still wanted to say it just in case) or something along those lines. Battles are worth as much coins you would get in a block and Bosses are pretty much giant drawbridges that require a key(sticker) to lower so you can move forward. Don't have the key, you ain't moving forward! Look, I'm not saying the game is terrible for being different(because this game looks great and I like the whole color power idea), but if you're gonna go in a different direction, don't add or keeps things that are mostly pointless and pad things out for the sake the of the name. Paper Mario has had RPG elements in previous games, with battles being one of them. However, they were worth the time spent in them in those games(experience, coins, any word that means progression...). They aren't really here now! Battles help you get stronger and Bosses are a test of your abilities and strenght...in an Rpg! This game is far from it, so why keep it in the game? At least if battles weren't a thing in this game and it was just mainly platforming and puzzles, I would at least feel like it was really trying to be different than all the games before it and stand on its own two feet instead of holding on to things that don't work well for what it's going for and keeping it because "Paper Mario" games have battles in them(I know I kinda repeated myself, but my point still stands)!
  12. Let's not forget Xenoblade Chronicles and Last Story(and another game that I forget the name of right now)because both of those games weren't originally gonna be localized over here, but there were enough pleas and requests for it to be localized! (And we all know that Xenoblade Chronicles is a large enough of a game on it's own!) ;3
  13. Plot promotions are alright if the timing is right. Not only that, but the main character should be powerful enough beforehand. And by that, I mean they shouldn't have to really be in need of their promotion to get actually really good, but to improve and get even better(looking at you Roy......you're still alright though...). The lords of FE7 and (especially) FE6 have it pretty bad with timing! Ike from PoR has the best timed plot promotion hands down. This is kinda helped by that Ike is pretty good even at early levels. However, you're put into enough situations where Ike can't do everything(and can't be everywhere) and you NEED to train everyone else well. I know that kinda sounds dumb to say because you need to do that in Fire Emblem in-general, but I feel like this game really pushes that you can't just mainly rely on Ike( especially when it comes to magic) for a good chunk of the game. So, by the time Chap.17 rolls around, Ike is either at lvl.20 or is just about there(and due to certain events, you're probably not gonna use him too much after the half-way point of Chapter 17). Either way, you don't have to wait long before you promote! ...you know, now that I think about it, Ike probably has the best plot promotion moments in (mostly) PoR AND (more or less)RD! Mainly because you have enough time(and enemies) to level Ike up by promotion time and you have a good amount of time( and again, enemies) to let him reach lvl.20 premoted too! Honorable mention to Eirika and Ephriam from SS because even if you don't grind, they have enough time and enemies to reach lvl.20 in time and you can choose to wait if you want( because the plot still works well if you don't immediately)! ......Although, when I think about it, you couldn't really grind in PoR or RD(...well, unless you boss abused). The pace had to really be planned out. The created Avatar(Robin and Corrin), have grinding easily open to them and to a great degree(even more so then Sacred Stones), so the timing could be thrown off immensely if it's planned for a certain point. So......unfortunately, with how things are now, we might not have them anymore because it makes things more flexible for players. However, I personally wouldn't mind it if it was planned out well like Ike's plot promotions. They can work really well, but only if timed right(but...you would have to lose your ability to grind...which is fine with me honestly. I'm fine either way)!
  14. So in case you missed it, we're getting anew Mario Party for the 3DS! ......Ok, I honestly think this looks alright and I'm kinda liking the minigames, buuut...at the same time, have the people making the Mario Party games nowadays been listening to the fans? I'm honestly not sure because it you would think they would've heard how loud we've been about "wanting a classic styled Mario Party"! We don't mind new twists to stuff sometimes, but you have to realize that sometimes it isn't a bad idea to go back to the basics if you see thinks aren't working out. You don't always have to have a major change. You can keep the basics intact, add some interesting twist(s) to it to keep it fresh, and people will still enjoy it! But that's just me.
  15. So GameXplain had an interview with a Developer for Color Splash and...you'll probably want to watch this( if you haven't already). http://youtu.be/oD2YdfSCw5Y Thank you GameXplain, this was needed! Oh, and just to say this now, this game does look good and seems better than Sticker Star(the 2016 E3 trailer for this had a little charm to it), but it still stands...I want another Paper Mario RPG!
  16. I honestly don't blame you for feeling that way. I'd feel mad too. We all don't have that kind of money to burn( and I doubt trading it in when the PS4 Neo comes out will get you enough for it...especially if too many other people have the same idea! The trade-in value of the PS4 will drop like a rock)! ...well, you kinda have the N3DS, which is around $200( or $170 if you buy it refurbished from the Nintendo Online Store Website) and the PS4,which is around $350. Doesn't change how much they cost because they both still are a lot, but the value depends on your personal gaming preferences and also if there is a good reason to get one, like if you play your 3DS a lot and your old 3DS was broken via an accident out of your control...if not, then you're good to ignore it. Well...that and it's a [older] handheld and a [newer] home console. (......just wanted to throw that out there. Probably doesn't change much though......Oh well! ) Also, I highly doubt this will be a trend. Besides, that's a lot Money AND Stress(for the company and the game developers having to make different versions all the time). Not to mention lost respect from buyers (or consumers, the economical term) seeing how they would enrage fans by making them buy a new console so often(not everyone has money to burn..or give out so easily) and game developers( for all the unwanted extra work)! If it's just upgraded graphics and stuff like adding function that aren't very important, then the old one would be a better option. Sure, updated graphics and maybe updated processors are nice and all, but...the PS4( a console in this day and age) should already be pretty good as is, shouldn't it? (...but that's just me. )
  17. ...You know, I'm wondering why Sony is doing this in the first place, but hey, it's gonna get bought by SOMEONE out there...right? Anywho, as the title suggests, do you actually give a care about the PS4 Neo? Is it worth your paycheck? Is it even worth bringing up? And if you answered No to either question, what would actually push you to actually get this thing? For me, I don't really care about whatever enhancements it's gonna get. All I want, and while it's very unlikely, BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY FOR PS3 GAMES!!! I've never owned a PS3( kinda behind the console generations...minus my 3DS), but I want to play a lot of the games on the system. If the PS4 originally had backwards compatibility, I would be saving up for a PS4 instead. Its honestly the ONLY thing holding me back from getting a PS4! But hey, maybe with the PS4 Neo, we'll get that this time(...I mean, if Sony has the money to make another PS4 system for whatever reason, they could slip this in too to get more sales...maybe...)! ......a guy can hope can't he? So yeah......PS4 Neo... (Sorry...couldn't resist the joke... )
  18. Wow......just...wow. I know Bayonetta was kinda broken and kinda needed a nerf( and I'm no good with her. I'm a casual player), but jesus...she got seriously nerfed! She can barely combo anymore. Only way she can really combo now is by witch time! It's not the last one. Why? 5 words. Cloud, Corrin, and Bayonetta Amiibo. Unless they got compatibility for the game via this recent patch, there is gonna be another patch for them (also, when the heck are those coming out anyway?! I've been waiting for a release date for a good while now......although, my wallet will probably dread that date). Now whether or not it will be a patch for buffs and/or nerfs......probably. I mean, even though Bayonetta needed nerfs, I think the devs may have went just a little overboard. I mean, she can't really do what she was originally was shown to do...combo. She can, but not that well.
  19. Wow, so I'm not the only one who likes to do that too? Cool! Hearing a piece of music normally and hearing it during a moment in a game has different feeling and impact to it. It can also help you like a track more if you wait to listen to it in-game. Also, yeah, Youtube and spoilers are a bad mixture. Even for just the OST's because the comments' sections know no bounds(...same could be said for the videos too...).
  20. The best number would probably be 5 years. 1-2 years and even 3 years isn't enough because not everyone can get a game when it first comes out, whether it be because of money, not having said console, bad timing, or all of the above (or many other reasons). For Example, Awakening came out in 2012. I didn't get a 3DS until 2013(thanks to my mother) and I couldn't get Awakening until 2014, when my Mom gave me money for my birthday. I personally didn't get a lot money growing up(...well, not enough to get new stuff a lot of the time...oh well). HOWEVER, It honestly depends on what the game in question is. Something like Sonic or something isn't that big of an issue. Things like Phoenix Wright, games heavily relying on story, are a NO-NO no matter how much time passes. Things like Fire Emblem kinda go into the middle. Either way, it's still a good idea to be somewhat careful when talking about spoilers for a game. Ever. That's because some people may like going into a game completely blind and experience it themselves or at least want to found spoilers out from their own intentions and not being unfortunately spoiled. Also, not everyone can see a spoiler for a game they are playing or want to play coming. If they aren't told that some spoiler is ahead or is in a post or something, they'll get info that'll ruin the fun for them because it's assumed everyone knows about it. Another example would be me not being able to get a PS2 until the Christmas of 2012. Yes, you heard me right...2012. So games like Persona or Final Fantasy, Jak & Daxter, and all those other games were unreachable for me for a gooood long while. Then again, my Mom was trying to stick with consoles with mainly child friendly games, something mostly Nintendo provided, while I was a kid. That and...well...other personal issues, but I'm not gonna get into that now( because I'm kinda killing the good mood a bit...sorry). Anywho, that's my stand on this(and hopefully my point is clear enough and not a mess). 5 years is the best amount of time, but it's still a good idea to consider others and be cautions when talking about spoilers!
  21. W-Why the hate on Mozu? She's great! Is it because of the trainee thing? If it is, I can kinda let that slide(although, she isn't that hard to train...for me anyway). That and her supports with Benny and Kaze are good. Sure she isn't on the levels of Arthur(who's just so dang loveable and respectable), but she's still pretty alright. Charlotte, in my opinion, would be better of without the whole "two faced" facade. I kinda like her more as her normal self. Why? Because she kinda comes off more cool(heck, she took out a tree with her bare hands. MU B support). I also like her support with Arthur, because "I'm not that strong and I need protection in battle" my butt! *sigh*...but at least good ol' Arthur still sticks with her despite that! Leo being top contender pleases me. Also...I don't know why, but I just seem to love Leo's smirk look. I don't have much reason for it, but I love that smirk of his so much. Peri......Peri, Peri, Peri. I don't hate the girl, but the combination of childish and killer wasn't the best combination. Its a bit of a double whammy. Not sayin it can't work, but it doesn't work too well for Peri. I Honestly think she's more childish than killer...ish, which is worse then her being more killer than childish(I haven't had a lot of supports with her, but it shows in just a couple I've seen). That kinda made her C support with Joker enjoyable(since he kinda reprimanded her...sorry Peri). Lastly, if you couldn't tell at this point, Arthur is great! I can't help but love and respect him so much(although...I worry about the guy too...he's too nice for his own good. Not that I can talk...)! EDIT: Also, NO LOVE FOR MY BEST BUDDY SILAS?! :'( Just to note, I haven't beaten the game, but I can say who like or kinda dislike at this point(well...minus Flora, haven't got her yet. I've been support grinding......that's two words I didn't think I would be saying together).
  22. I'm going to the Airforce(or alternatively the military) first for a little while, then I'm going to college a little later. I'm just enjoying my summer though! Oh, and by free, I mean I can pretty much do what I want, when I want( more or less). (I can chose whether I go to school in the morning or evening, when I takes my classes, make my own personal schedule, etc.)
  23. High School Graduate of 2016!!! Booyah!!!

  24. ...I did it......I finally did! I AM FINALLY GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL!!! THANK YOU GOD, I FINALLY MADE IT!!! I am soooooo happy right now that I can barely contain it! My happiness could probably light a dark room! ...Well, to be more accurate, I'm both happy and anxious(for my future. Considering most of life at this point, most choices were made for me, and pretty much anyone, like school and a few other stuff. Now I have to make my own big decisions for my life. It's gonna take a bit of time to adjust to, but I know I'll manage). All I need to do now is wait for my graduation, get my diploma, and I am completely free as a bird! If there are any other 2016 graduates out there( even if it isn't from high school, or even if you are graduating much later this year, as long as it's before December 31, 11:59:59 P.M. of this year) congrats to you as well! Now that summer is here......IT'S TIME TO PARTY!!! (...not that I go out that much, but I'm most definitely celebrating this one way or another!)
  25. Of the games I've played: FE4: I stopped partway through due to school. Didn't get far enough to make a solid choice. FE6: There are a lot unfortunately. I can't choose just one. FE7: I would say Erk because he just goes down hill partway into the game, buuuuut...unlike Bartre, I actually like to use Erk. Bartre, for me anyway, sucks. I always use Dorcas(because he usually does great for me and he's on my team 95% of the time...yes, I use Dart also)! When I did give Bartre a chance, he just didn't match up to Dorcas and didn't do too well...oh well! FE8: Hmmm...not too sure. A lot of them are good honestly. Surely I'm not forgetting anyo-...oh wait! Moulder! Yeah, Moulder is pretty meh for me. FE9: Devdan. Possibly the only character in PoR that I could honestly not care about that much. I don't hate him, but he's outclassed by other superior units(*cough Nephenee cough*) and he isn't that interesting. FE10: Meg. You can say what you want about Fiona, but at least I can train Fiona much, MUCH easier than Meg(I know a way to train Fiona to level 20 by at least the endgame of Part 1 and she turns out pretty alright). It's so hard to train Meg! Heck, Donnel and Mozu were much easier to train(WITHOUT grinding)! I could complain about Meg in detail, but that would make my post extremely long. I'm just sad how good could have been( a speedy tank), but unfortunately, that didn't happen. Edit: Oh, and at least Fiona doesn't die after one fight with most enemies! FE13: Maribelle. Great character, not so great unit. Even as much as I like her, I cannot overlook how bad she is in battle. FE14(CQ): Honestly, I can't really say yet since I haven't finished the game. However, most of the characters are pretty good. If I HAD to say someone...maybe Niles, but then again, I think he just got really RNG screwed on my playthrough.
