  1. Here's a good, if VERY spoileriffic one.
  2. "Heh. To think I could love a mere woman." Or something along those lines. I just remember "a mere woman" in his S-rank with Robin. Besides, even if you disagree that gynophobia constitutes a form of misogyny, there are times when he dips into it anyway (The name calling and condescension when his buttons are pushed, namely) and clearly has issues going beyond simple fear.
  3. The only character I'm not particularly fond of thus far is Oboro, for the same reason I disliked Panne and Lon'qu to an extent (And outside of FE, Boze from Xenoblade Chronicles X). I don't like the whole "Oh, this character is unrepentantly bigoted but don't worry! They have a Tragic Absolving BackstoryTM that makes it totally acceptable!" archetype, at least not if you expect me to see them as anything other than a villain.
  4. Technically you can get Yukimura before Chapter 23, if you just do some other battles or paralogues.
  5. It's good, yes, but you also have to keep buying and using Reeking Boxes to fuel it. It also doesn't pit you against fifty enemies like RaR 3 does. I got all the skills in the game that Robin, Lissa, Frederick, Chrom, Miriel, Maribelle, Gaius, Gregor, Olivia, Henry, Lucina, Cynthia, Owain, Inigo, Laurent, Morgan, Tiki, Basilio, Gangrel, Walhart, Aversa, Emmeryn, Yen'fay, and Priam can get, AND capped all their stats and weapon proficiencies in EVERY class, including the DLC ones, via RaR 3. And I could have kept doing that with everyone else but then Fates came out. But anyway, this topic. I really do like how you get new skills every level up instead of having to go through base classes now. I guess it's really the experience gain formula that I dislike, rather than the actual reclass system. Though shelling out for tons of Eternal Seals hurts of course.
  6. <-- Her right there. Just like Batman, a deadly-serious character is ripe for comedy gold. Try talking to her when she's forced to staff the accessory or rod shop, or walking in on her in the bath if you're playing as a male Corrin. And then there's all her supports; I haven't seen all of them yet, but her support with Charloette is hilarious. It also helps that she's incredibly useful. I actually feel kinda bad that I had to make her pull a sacrifice play at the very end of Conquest's endgame, but I suppose dying to save someone else's life is a fitting conclusion to a character who lived via taking other people's lives. Now every day my Corrin does the Big Boss salute at her grave just like she's doing in my profile pic. Arthur is a serious contender for favorite, though, for obvious reasons (Chief among them being his chin). It's a shame he becomes such a liability later on thanks to being critted by everything ever.
  7. I did actually mean RaR 3, and it worked fine for me on Normal at least. Just pair the unit up with Chrom, give them a big stack of Elthunders, Hand Axes, or Javelins (Swords and Bows require special attention), mark Jaffarsehole so you can take him out at range once he gets close, then just mash End Turn. Dig into the Chromvoy whenever you need a Second Seal. The only times I've failed to solo it were if I started using it before a unit really became powerful enough. In the event that they're not quite strong enough I use Smash Bretheren 3 or Lost Bloodlines 3, but the former is a slow slog and the latter has lower exp yield and healers you have to manually kill. Plus it has good music, which if you're like me you'll have to hear a lot trying to cap everyone's stats in every class. I don't remember how many cycles as a Dread Fighter Basilio had to complete before he finally capped his Magic stat...
  8. I... think it's a mixed bag. It's certainly better during the main story, but I'm the type who likes to do lots of post-game grinding, so only gaining 1 exp from everything ever makes it quite slow. But really, the main issue is that there isn't a good map for automated exp grinding (Rogues and Redeemers 3, woo) and no Paragon yet.
  9. She's stuck as an Adventurer forever, sorry. I guess they didn't want to make custom models for all the special classes to accomodate her fatness. As for skills, that sounds odd. She should at least be getting Outlaw and Adventurer's skills.
  10. It's odd that there's so much conflict on whether he's recruitable in Revelations or not. It's a pretty binary fact, he either is or isn't. But I guess one side was misinformed and now it's spread.
  11. I'm currently playing Revelations, and I'm wondering about Gunter and some spoileriffic events. Also, I was just told that you CAN' actually get Yukimura during Revelations. Is this true? I thought he was Birthright-exclusive.
  12. I stuck a chef hat on Robin, but alas, he never showed up there. Pretty sure scanning them in causes them to replace whoever is running either the armory or accessory shop only. If being able to scan in the amiibos to get these units returns next game, I hope they make them more complete. Give them proper level-up text, let them appear in other My Castle buildings like the restaurant and hot springs, make them Supportable, ect.
  13. I assume you're talking about the cavern stage in Conquest? You get a Speedwing I believe. I tricked him into going into that small room with a treasure chest in the northwest part of the map, then used a Dragon Vein to trap him in that room so that he can't suicide against all the enemies. Now he'll just starve to death instead. :P
  14. 1) Yes, it's read-only. It doesn't write anything. 2) You can buy them from the Einherjar logbook, but they won't have their special dialogue or be able to staff the armory. I don't think they even come with their special weapons if you do that, think they have a blank inventory.
  15. The lances are thinner than swords and axes, making them harder to use to defend against arrows. Axes overpower silly ninja tricks through SHEER MACHISMO AND POWAH.
  16. It makes sense, though; why should a key from Fort Dragonfall open up a chest in, say, Hoshido's palace? Though there's still the question of why the keys disappear after use, and why they're at least interchangeable within a single level.
  17. The Garons, or the cubic yottaparsec thing? Because as much as I adore the former I can't take credit for it. And just so you know, there's no avoidable deaths like this Kaze incident in Conquest or Revelations, so don't worry about that.
  18. Yeah, he'd have tossed Corrin up to Hinoka before falling to his death. Apparently bonding with Corrin grants you the ability to notice life-saving explosive crystals. It would have been a neat way to integrate the support text with the in-story text if, like, the A-Rank support had Corrin make Kaze promise not to ever sacrifice his life for Corrin's sake, and bring that promise up in the death scene to force Kaze to find a way to save them both instead of just Corrin. But as it is, it's just weird crystals.
  19. I should also caution you that once you instigate a fight with the chapter boss, its whole surrounding area becomes lava-y. So make sure everyone you want to use to fight the boss is close by, since your movement get slowed by the lava.
  20. No matter which route you play, there's only enough women that male Corrin cannot marry one without rendering a child unavailable because IS have doodoo for brains. So if you want to get all the children, you need to do one of the following: A) Marry a Corrinsexual: Reina, Scarlet, Flora, and Anna are your only options, and they depend on the route. B) Marry a second-gen female. C) Play as a female Corrin. They get free dibs on whatever guy they want. D) Recruit the missing child on a different file, then save them to the logbook and buy them in the main file as an Einherjar. No paralogue, supports, or even level-up dialogue, but you at least get to use them. E) Wait and pray that later DLC or an update somehow rectifies this issue, but it's incredibly unlikely. I'm planning on doing option D in my Revelations file, so I registered Rhajat to my logbook after beating Birthright.
  21. My dream of a +7 Setsuna's Yumi is unlikely to come to fruition...
  22. I think the Record Hall is the same across all files. But I could be mistaken.
  23. My theory is that the rock that composes their bodies is ordinary rock from the area; it's only the Mouth of Truth disk-thing itself that's magic, and it's enchanted to pull up surrounding earth and rock into a makeshift body for itself. Just plopping those disks around a battlefield essentially lets you turn the battlefield itself into a dangerous weapon.
