  1. I always do it for the sake of convenience regarding item acquisition but I prefer to beat the game honestly first, unless it's something meaningless like the code to have Tails follow you in Sonic Advance. I like being able to use cheats to tear games apart sometimes so it's really fun to use cheats on Fates to change your Avatar's class to one of the opposite sex. My Male Avatar was the best Maid. Cheats can be fun because of ditties like that. Of course the modern gaming world frowns upon such things but so long as they're not bringing harm to other players, I see no problems.
  2. I never set foot on the battlefield without my Avatar unless I'm spamming EXPonential Growth for experience or supports. Outside of that, Lucina for support bonuses and Morgan because she's always amazing for me.
  3. It adds more to the character. Shiro is more headstrong than Ryoma so it's great to have the two at a strong level of disagreement since it brings out more in both of them. However, it's a dynamic you can't see in either Avatar or their respective children because they automatically agree with each other if an idea changes. Combining that with what I said about an older and more mature child for the Avatar would really have greatly written characters, if only in the short term. It's definitely something I agree with and would certainly love to see.
  4. I wasn't trying to imply it had to be equal, I actually meant: "Did Kana's A+Support friend have the A+Support but not Kana?" I'm terrible at explaining things...
  5. What would my perfect Kana be like? Older. Honestly, I don't like that through most of Fates's parent-child dialogue that the relationship between them forces the parent to always seem older between the two. Sure, that's a fine thing to do but if you compare Shiro and Siegbert to Ryoma and Xander for example and then go through all of the other kids, none actually seem older than their corresponding parents. That makes the Deeprealms seem less realistic to me. If you look at Laurent in Awakening, he points out that he's been in the past for at least 5 years, so why can't the time each child has spent in the Deeprealms have a difference and them seeming older than their parents? Wouldn't it be interesting for the child to teach the parent various things? Awakening didn't have that luxury because of time travel, everything the kids knew was already learned from their parents, so sharing it with them is almost like reminding them instead of them learning. With the Deeprealms functioning as a way to age the characters separately, and since the characters within them are leading more educated lives, they could easily learn more than their parents and then share information they need. I feel like I changed the topic a bit... Allow me to reiterate. I'd have preferred if Kana was older and more mature because the idea of Kana being smarter than the Avatar and sharing knowledge and wisdom with them would be a good pace changer by comparison to how Morgan and Awakening's Avatar were handled. If you decided to read the massive paragraph about my idea, I'd have liked more children that by association with the Deeprealms could have aged past their parents and been older and wiser. If anything though, Kana would be the ideal candidate to have made like that if they were to test the idea instead of just adding another cry-baby type child character. Sorry for the absurd text amount but... I kinda felt inspired to write a bit...
  6. I had Kana and Midori get each other's A+ supports and they were fine. Did you ensure Kana and the A+ Partner both got the A+ Support? Because it has to be done by both characters.
  7. Me personally: Slothful Choice - Selecting the 'Wait' command may restore this unit's HP fully or by 25%. Alternatively it may injure the unit for 50% HP. This unit cannot engage in combat or move for the next turn if it is healed but will get double the movement range and turns if it takes the damage. Reason for that is because I'm very lazy and have little motivation, however if something provides me a good enough reason to move otherwise, I'll do more than necessary. My Awakening Avatar: Foresight - Increase this unit's Dodge by 30 in any battle this unit did not initiate. If this unit is the defender in Guard Stance, prevents enemies from scoring a critical hit on the lead unit. My Fates Avatar: Inherent Will - This unit can attack at a range of 2 with all Swords type weapons, however offensive skills cannot be triggered unless the Sword can normally attack at the range it's used at. I counted my Avatars separately because I write as a hobby and kinda made them to be unique.
  8. Silas' Vow of Friendship. If I'm in a situation where I see my friends in pain, I won't relent until the attackers are in intensive care if needbe. Ironically, I'm a pacifist. Fortunately, I've not had to test the situation.
  9. She won't have. But remember that Nowi HAS already hit the 1000 mark so she'll possibly die of aging before Nah but I'm no Manakete biologist so I can't make that remark with any certainty because we have no solid information on how Manaketes physically age.
  10. My friend recommended using Oscar in Path of Radiance because his Strength growth is supposed to be usable. His Strength went up twice. Out of like... 8-10 levels. I've been forced to drop him because his Strength just wouldn't increase. If I wasn't playing it via an SD Media Launcher on my Gamecube, I'd have considered feeding him Bonus Experience and disobeying Resetti like a champ just for decent Strength. Outside of that... I turn attention to Roy. When your mandatory character gets Luck aplenty and maybe some HP and Skill if you're lucky, you're gonna have a rotten gameplay time throughout the whole game. I reset the game because Roy was so insistent on being terrible for me. Other than these examples... Awakening - Sumia gets critted by 1% chance enemy that she was positioned to kill. Vaike a got similar thing but I wasn't paying proper attention so that was entirely my fault. Awakening - During EXPonential Growth, Owain missed a 57% chance to crit, triggered the enemy's counter and then got hit by a 1% Hit chance and went down. Fates - About 10 minutes ago, Odin missed a 95% Hit on a Faceless with reduced speed whilst reclassed as a Swordmaster. That's all I remember... I'm sure there was something Yarne did but I don't remember the details...
  11. Of course Pan's expression makes your comment look sarcastic, which I find hilarious. XD
  12. I'm with this. It sounds the most plausible.
  13. I thought "Lovely, beauteous, Florina!" was noteworthy enough.
  14. I still need to play Radiant Dawn... WELCOME! Feel free to look around!
  15. I used Auto Battle in Awakening once. It cost me my Avatar at the time and I just decided: "Right. I'm not letting the game decide on its own again."
  16. Oh! Wow! That's incredible! Thank you! ^-^ You have my gratitude!
  17. Can I request my Awakening Avatar? Basically my profile image. Most preferably including the Dark Knight armour in place of the shirt and trousers (keep the coat though). If I can request a specific pose, I'd quite like the Thunder Charging animation Robin has in Smash Bros. and if I could request specific details, I'd like the Book of Naga for the tome and Mercurius for the Sword. If you want the recipe in the Character creator for better reference it's: Build 1 Face 4 Hair 4 Hair Colour 9 Thanks. =)
  18. Walhart: Throughout the main game, I never liked Walhart. Plain and simple, he came across as a dick, but around the end of the Valm arc and the time of recruiting him, I saw more detail in him as a character, and that even he has an amusing side to him. Whilst not my favourite character at all, I appreciate that he was driven, commanding and a force to be reckoned with before he was made recruitable! Lucina: I always found Lucina to be a very interesting character. Witnessing the extent of her burden resonated with me. When she explained everything just after revealing who she was, I felt nothing but sorrow for everything she suffered, even briefly forgetting that she was Chrom's daughter, just because I feel that no one should suffer that way. Her supports made her that extra bit fun for me because you get to see her behaviour in a much more relaxed scenario and it's uplifting as opposed to upsetting. As Thane so eloquently put it "She's an adorable badass.". I'd like to see more of her, but admittedly, I'd just like to see Awakening's conclusion built upon with the characters having gone their separate ways after the finale of it and depending on the situation returning tor whatever reason afterwards. Actually... that might just be because I feel she could have more built on to her. Comparing Awakening to Blazing Sword real quick, each Lord had their own story path and whilst Lyn was only the tutorial mode, there was plenty of development for her throughout the story itself. Eliwood and Hector had the main focus of the story but it was offered in a way of their perspective. So I'd likely prefer that option. Start with Lucina's perspective and work towards her recruitment in Chrom's perspective. ... I... may have derailed that a bit...
  19. Its ranged attack is identical to Odin's Grimoire which is a Dark Tome. So Darkness is the best assumption.
  20. Honestly, I think it just needs a little fine tuning. A little more detail on the armour, a slight shift of hair and it'd look truly amazing. I mean, it's already great. But... you get my point.
  21. It looks great regardless. Makes the character look older.
  22. Yes. He is better off as a Samurai. Ideally, I'd grab Vengeance from Sorcerer so you've got the opportunity to deal heavy damage when combined with Vantage, though it's not as super-amazing as it was in Awakening, it can still make a big difference. Of course Astra's still usable if you take him through Swordmaster so there's that and... y'know... I feel as though this is the best I can give as information because that's only really how I used him... Sorry if this isn't much help but I helps you in some way.
  23. I've never used it but I genuinely feel that if they just once used it in the story of a game, it'd be fine. Honestly though, I feel it's a little bit redundant with Casual mode being an availability but obviously, not everyone plays casual mode. I'm genuinely indifferent about it.
  24. So many from Awakening including: You may call me Marth, Ha ha! Yes. It will take some getting used to!, Id (Serenity) and Id (Sorrow). There's also Reminiscence from FE7 and Shigure's version of Lost in Thoughts All Alone from Fates (Heirs of Fate). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Y0xPXJtrR4
