  1. Having started with Dark Souls 3, I am inclined to suggest it as a place to start.
  2. I sent a pair north that could tank there hits for a few turns, that way I wouldn't have to deal with them until after I dealt with the enemies that spawned at the same time to the east without them interfering, the way they prioritized attacks made that a viable space to move...
  3. Naw, it was the sword wielding reinforcements, the two Sword Masters have wakizashi to use at range, and with a quick draw dual sword attack stance partner as well...
  4. Not sure if this image helps, but Saizo could go where that red dot is in the blocked off treasure room to attack one that moved where that other red dot across the corner, as one of the five swordsmen enemies spawn in that exit to the north had moved to that location. I think I had someone move close enough to distract them for a turn or two while I dealt with the far more dangerous enemies that spawn to the east, which made them clump up as the higher movement enemies tried to attack instead of using their full movement, clogging up space for the slower ones...
  5. You were hoarding all of these stat boosters before??? Its tough keeping him alive in Lunatic, even trapping him in the treasure room isn't perfectly safe... as in the last Lunatic run I played the later northern reinforcement moved in a way that let Saizo attack one from range, which put him in range for the Sword Master reinforcements with range attacks start tearing into him, finishing him off... As long as you have a shelterer who can live a hit, that should be fine (if you have two shelterers and enough actions you can pull him and the other shelterer out even without a dancer...)
  6. With how random the capture mechanics are, I am glad that actually managed to work out... You joke, but that certainly had an impact on it... That is a fair point, the church really has just been working around him the entire time... This is making me think free recruits, or horses may be arriving in the future... Yeah it is, but he also has disproportionately many dialogue boxes filled with just dots... I mean his first two lines are ......... ......... and those aren't the only dialogue boxes like that I have seen from him. That is a useful technique to know... Yeah, I very much doubt I will manage whatever that might entail, as I find it unlikely I will use him much. I guess that is not that surprising...
  7. At least its not given a bit of information that I will be talking about in the next update. That makes sense...although given I have to put in the work to get them those levels makes them feel a bit ungrateful. ...interesting... I am not actually sure which one it is... He might not be there until after an event in this chapter, although I am not entirely certain... Just to annoy people (and give them a Ward replacement crutch they can buy for the optional maps...)
  8. It has been a while, but this is back, and don't worry there is more to come soon!
  9. Looking at is as weaker or strong units feels kinda backwards for this, as its far more really relevant for more defensive vs less defensive units. One way to look at it mathematically is as follows Double base power Attack x2 - Defense x1 = Crit damage where as Triple Damage is Attack x3 - Defense x3 = Crit Damage from here its easy to see that Triple Damage is better when: Attack > Defense x2 As can be seen here differences in defense have twice the impact a change in Attack does for whether triple damage, or double power is better. (sorry for being lazy and skipping steps in the algebra, if people really care I can break it down if they want)
  10. Your first run doesn't have to be perfect, and in my opinion you should get as far as you can before restarting. However, if you really want to start over again, and be a Ninja this time, then the Strong boon makes the most sense, for the reason you stated. Although you could also try just leaving Corrin in their base class, and choosing your talent to pass it along to their lover...
  11. HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!! Yeah, the opening of this map is really tricky. I have generally found that once you have made the first little area outside the starting room safe, you have won the map, but exiting that starting room is so hotly contested that a death there is hard to avoid... ...Oof, if only you thought to take a luck tonic you would have been safe. I guess hindsight is 20/20...and of course it is just Corrin again isn't it... Ouch, shame it ended on your Birthday...I have always found Birthdays to be unlucky, tis a shame it is so for you as well.
  12. It is still theoretically possibly to get all of the paralogues, but it will take a lot of dedication, and depending on the stats of the people you have to relationship grind it may be extremely difficult. The ways you build support points is summarized here: https://serenesforest.net/fire-emblem-fates/nohrian-characters/supports/support-basics/ , but you don't gain it simply by staying next to each-other, you need to be performing actions, and the number of points they gain has a cap per chapter, and don't accumulate after you reach the next level. The amount you need for each support level is summarized here: https://serenesforest.net/fire-emblem-fates/nohrian-characters/supports/support-growth/ and assuming your people are on the slow support gain it takes 7 chapters to S rank if you max the number of support points you get (and 6 chapters for the fast supports), but what makes this possible is you can use the Paralogues you unlock to gain support points, as you have enough chapters left to unlock enough paralogues in those 10 story chapters, to then get enough chapters of paralogues to grind up the last of the supports needed for the last of the child characters. The difficult part as I see it is having all of the units that need to support being good enough to not be killed while getting support points in these latter game chapters or paralogues (as the paralogues scale in difficulty base on how far into the game you are when you start them)...
  13. The monetization is gatcha, and made to prey on those with the kinda of disabilities that lead to gambling addictions, but if you are OK with that, the game is solid. Its the most Fire Emblem experience you can get on a mobile game, and shows us a glimpse at what a fire emblem without RNG might look like...
  14. That is a tough choice.....how about the massively under appreciated Chrono Cross
  15. I must point out that history was written by the slave owners, so take all this benevolent slave talk with a grain of salt, and there are still records of plenty of slaves murdering their slave owners. There is even a notable speech in ancient Greece discussing the murder of a slave owner by one of his 12 year old slaves.... Edit: younger than 12 years old, I missed that the boy was described as not yet 12...
  16. Whew...that was intense...its time for me to return to an LP that has been on hiatus for far...far...far too long. Although the amount of writing is looking a bit daunting seeing as I have piled up ~400 images before the battle even started...
  17. I understand the complaint. From a level design perspective having the last one works the best, but if you think about this level as if the scenario described in the story is actually happening, having it always be the last one makes no sense, which is iritating. Its a lot like the jokes about Ryoma waiting 20/25 turns for his revenge, that time limit makes the level work better, but if you think about it from the perspective of the story being described by the gameplay, its incredibly dumb. That is some cold cynicism coming from Niles there...
  18. You missed an important part of Corrin and Azura's goal, that Garon sits on the throne when the rest of the royal family is close enough to see him. If they win the whole shebang here in Izumo, than there is no guarantee they will be, whereas leading the royal family in taking the Hoshidan capital will. Plus victory through such betrayal leaves a lot of complicated issues on the table that could ruin those plans entirely. First they could run into the same issue the Prussian had after they captured Emperor Napoleon III, with the head of government captive, whom do they negotiate with to make their negotiations have any legitimacy, or lasting impact? If they negotiate with the captives everyone will believe it is under such duress as to let the Hoshidan's easily renege on it after they are released, and who will believe it if they aren't released? If they negotiate with whomever is ruling in the Hoshidan royalty's absence, would the Hoshidan royalty even be a valuable hostage/bargaining chip when their safe return would end this temporary government's rule? Even if this temporary government did want the Hoshidan royals safe, why would they believe the Nohrians would honor any agreement they made after such flagrant treachery? Even if they do successfully negotiate a surrender, the Hoshidans would still have an undefeated army, and especially after the way Nohr won, would Garon risk giving Hosihdans the opportunity to perform the same kind of betrayal that won him the war by waltzing into their capital to sit on their throne? Taking the capital will cause a lot of bloodshed, but is a more certain route to their objective.
  19. If you should early promote in Conquest... its debatable, but in this situation I wouldn't consider it a bad idea. Some of your units can hit 20/20 in Conquest, and on some of the difficulties (sorry I am not well versed on Normal mode, so this might not be much of a concern at all) the late game is difficult enough that those extra stats might matter, but with a non-combat class like his getting access to attacks early might be worth it, and its easy to fit him into a more supportive role that makes those extra stats in the long run far less of a concern. As for which class to promote him into, it depends on what you want to do with him, and how he is looking statwise. Butler is the only option where strength will matter for him, plus his attacks will debuff enemies, and the Maid/Butler class is the only one that can reach S rank staffs. Now the S rank staff is a very niche concern, S rank takes a lot of dedication (or arms scroll(s)) to reach, the S rank staff comes in two-three chapters before the end of the game, is one use, and revives the last unit that died (which can be problematic if more than one unit dies in a turn...), but I feel it is worth mentioning. Strategist relies on magic, has higher mobility, and gets more supportive skills. Also of note is the difference in pair-up boosts if the plan is to have him become a backpack latter into the game, Butler gives extra speed, while Strategist gives extra resistance and a point of move...
  20. If you want to use Mozu you should class change her somehow ASAP, and if you can't you might want to drop her. Although depending on how restrictive you want to play, there might options to accomplish both of these plans. If you are using (and have access to) some of the bonus or DLC class-change items, than dreadfighter Mozu is one of the better options to save that Heart Seal, alternatively if you have about 2k gold lying around you could use the online features to visit the castle of someone with a fully upgraded rod/staff shop to buy an extra Heart Seal (although that is a serious expense at this point in the game. As for biting the bullet and letting some reinforcements spawn, I will point out you can let two sets of reinforcements spawn, and still get the full reward at the end of the chapter, so its not that big of deal if you let them spawn in.
  21. One thing I want to start with is that you are worrying too much here, its hard to make a bad Corrin, and Normal mode will probably be fine even if you try to make your Corrin bad, but if you want some advice I will add my two cents. That has generally been my go to bane & boon, as it is rather good. I tend to prefer having a Hoshidan class as my Talent as they are generally harder to get access to, but if your plan is to class change that early (without using online to relationship grind) these are probably better options. Jakob wouldn't give your Corrin access to Cavalier, only the Troubadour line, so going Cavalier wont end up redundant. Or if they go Great Knight weak to Beast Killers, Armor Slayer, and Wyrmslayers...although that isn't to say its a bad class, just funny to note. Honestly either of the two talents you suggested sound fine, with their own unique advantages, and if you are still struggling to decide just flip a coin and get started! Have Fun, Conquest is a great game
  22. Bah, you just got what you deserve you food thief. Probably had to break into the cabin I made to do it... Sooks you Monster, poor little Benice was such a nice guy he didn't even kill people, and still made it to the midway point....
