  1. That's actually really good to know! I've been trying to compile a list of what all the stats are called in Japanese.
  2. Oh gods, it's Persona 4 all over again...Regardless of how it's written, you can't name a character "Yuu Narukami" in an SMT game and expect me not to notice.
  3. But it was confirmed in the Famitsu article about class changing that promotion resets your level to 1... Therefore, I'm going to guess that A) Maid is a non-promotional class and thus gets extra levels, or B) Level caps are now raised/gone. Probably A, if you ask me.
  4. The screenshot is from visiting another player's My Castle, so in all likelihood she's referring to her own Kamui.
  5. My favorite part of the list is the potential pun with 神雷の薙刀. See, 神 is kami (god) and 雷 is kaminari (thunder), so you can write them together and pronounce it kaminari (divine thunder), because it's funny.
  6. If I were the localization department, I'd make all the characters comment about how creepy you're being. "What the hell are you doing?" "Please stop that." "You wanna lose that hand, princey?" (et cetera)
  7. Speaking of dragons, has anyone noted the dragon meter at the bottom right here? Perhaps it has something to do with Kamui losing/gaining the ability to use a dragonstone...
  8. The whole Emblem Amie feature leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but I'll just be ignoring it. I'm OK with having onsen, though, because onsen are actually completely normal. I'm curious if the bathhouses exist in the Nohr route; if they do, my money's on them being called thermae or balneae.
  9. My wild guess is that it increases luck or other stats. It's named after a Buddhist sutra against the seven evils (fire, floods, devils, tyrants, evil gods, imprisonment, and banditry).
  10. I took the time to go through the weapon descriptions, and here you go! (n.b.: Pursuit/pursuing refers to double-attacking.) Bronze weapons in general: +10 Ddg, cannot critical Iron Nohrian weapons: nothing special Iron Hoshidan weapons: (varies) Steel weapons in general: -5 Avoid, -3 to pursuit threshold (my guess is that this means you will pursue if YourSpd-3 >= EnemySpd+5, i.e., if YourSpd >= EnemySpd+8) Silver weapons: -2 Str and Skl for a turn after using Swords: Armorslayer: effective against armor, weak against other things Wyrmslayer: effective against dragons, weak against other things Killing Edge: -20 Avoid, increased critical damage(?) (it might be Crit Rate; I'm unfamiliar with the term used for Crit Rate in the JP version) Levin Sword: 1-2 range, magical weapon, cannot critical, -20 Avoid (does not say "can't double") Kodachi: 1-2 range, cannot pursue or critical, -5 to enemy pursuit threshold (I assume this means the enemy will pursue if EnemySpd >= YourSpd instead of EnemySpd >= YourSpd+5) Axe-Cutting Katana: -10 Avoid, especially effective against axes, weak against other things Flying Katana: 2 range (not 1-2... just 2), cannot pursue, -5 to enemy pursuit threshold Quick-Draw Katana: +5 Spd, -1 Def and Res Reverse Katana: reverses weapon triangle and doubles weapon triangle effects Spirit Katana: -4 Def and Res, effective against monsters Warrior's Katana: double counterattack damage Lances: Beast Killer: effective against beasts, weak against other things Holy Lance: effective against monsters, restores HP each turn, -3 Def and Res Killer Lance Spear: range 2, cannot critical or pursue -5 to enemy pursuit threshold Holy Thunder Naginata: 1-2 range, magical weapon, cannot critical, -20 Avoid (does not say "can't double") Protector Naginata: -10 Avoid, +5 Def and Res Reverse Naginata: reverses weapon triangle and doubles weapon triangle effects Sword-Mowing Naginata: -10 Avoid, especially effective against swords, weak against other things Warrior's Naginata: double counterattack damage Staves: Summer Festival (夏祭) Instant Destruction of the Seven Evils (七難即滅) Healing Items: Vulnerary: heals 10 HP Concoction: heals 20 HP Gunther's Good Medicine: ??? [insert stat here] Tonic Foodstuffs: Berry Fish: associated with Spd Leafy Vegetable: associated with Res Root Vegetable Meat: associated with Str Milk: associated with Spd Peach: associated with Res Rice Grain Soybean: associated with Str Wheat Precious Stones: Amber Amethyst Coral Crystal Jade Lapis Lazuli Pearl Ruby Sapphire Topaz
  11. There were two stones that you missed: サファイア and トパーズ (imperial topaz, not blue topaz). Did anyone catch what Joker said about exchanging the gems?
  12. It's a leather strap. It's hard to tell from the angle, but it's actually attached to her left shoulderpad thingy. Doesn't make it any less odd, though.
  13. Nice work as always, Kirokan! Goddamn that's a sexy serif font. What's it called?
  14. >letting characters die>ever You must love Shadow Dragon and hate FE7. I shudder to think how you'd feel about TRS, where there are four characters (six if you count Sennet and Tia) who mustn't die.
  15. Last I heard, the project's hacker has "fixed most of the bugs," so it's probably all taken care of, but I don't actually know for certain. I'm just an editor. I can ask, though! EDIT: Well, if it was fixed in an earlier version, I'm positive it's still fixed.
  16. Sorry to burst your bubble, but this week's Famitsu confirmed that promotion resets your level to 1.
  17. Full-of-arrows-guy! For all we know, he could be a nameless soldier, but he also might be very important!
  18. This article gives proof that weapon models are still unique; I remember someone being concerned that wouldn't be the case, since inventory icons are now all the same: [spoiler=Ta-da!] So that's one more thing to be happy about.
  19. My current favorite is Oboro if only for her class, since I'm a sucker for lance infantry.
  20. Think back to Awakening, where poor Gregor didn't even get one special palette to himself for his two normal promotions (Hero and Bow Knight). This image confirms what I was afraid would happen: Note how Hinata's color scheme (black armor, purple cloth) is preserved in his promotion from Samurai to Sword Saint (left) but not for War Artist (right), where he just has a generic blue palette. I can begrudgingly accept having generic palettes for reclassed models because of limited ROM space, yadda yadda, but this is one of his two natural promotions! I AM UPSET! ...okay, I'm fine now.
  21. Are you secretly Micaiah? As for me, I'd like to see a main character that has goals and sticks to them, and also has half a brain to know: when someone likes you when someone is obviously bad when someone is obviously hiding something if your mortal enemy tries to pause the battle to monologue, you ignore them and continue fighting
  22. Movement growth is awesome, though I could totally see people trying to RNG abuse for it. It'd definitely need to have a cap (say, 1 above base) on it to prevent that. (On a side note, I apologize for my terseness earlier; there were many nicer ways I could've put what I said.)
  23. Tsukuyomi is male. Hinata is male. Tsubaki is male. Oboro is female. This isn't difficult, people.
  24. I remember Vincent translating it as "Arrogance," but what's the first kanji in Tsukuyomi's skill name? Even jisho.org has been unhelpful... T^T
