  1. If I'm right, someone accurately translated the Japanese script, the mods refused to greenlight certain aspects of it, so someone reposted it elsewhere or something.
  2. You can't really go wrong with Divine Pulse+ or just max out Byleth and have Resolve+
  3. Something about the modding community refusing to host the translated script of Engage
  4. I know that PornHub does some educational PR stuff on the side to draw people in. Other than that, they're mainly apolitical. Everyone else just hosts their shit and complains about the takedown notices
  5. Honestly, I would take an completely new edition over paying 70 bucks for an re-release. I really don't have much of an issue with Mario Kart 8 DX because I never had an Wii U, but it mostly felt like an cash grab and an lot of the tracks in the recent wave of DLC just kind of felt weird to me.
  6. Probably to give the illusion that people don't magically die at the age of 50. It's kind of weird, but it's also kind of justifiable why they don't include older characters if you use someone like Gregor as an excuse: Because he's too good at his job after surviving several decades as an mercenary
  7. So, I got the new patch installed. Did the mini-quest. Got some golden spear and an axe. Fed the well an Iron Sword and Iron Blade. Started an skirmish. Gave them to two of my weaker units. Never got an chance to use them because the situation demanded that I was supposed to be throwing shit at an griffin or something like an lunatic. They eventually died. This is normal. Half my army survives instead of just being the usual stragglers. I revisit the well and I get an Iron Bow, an Iron Dagger, one or two of those scrolls that improves your SP, and some other item. I don't really remember half the stuff that I half in this game. Just the other week, I actually thought that I plundered two longbows, for some reason.
  8. Well, we're already seeing bits and pieces of this in Engage with how martial arts work in relation to everything else. Of course, the main drawback is that you're twice as likely to get screwed over during the level ups and their damage output is essentially less than half than most of the cast. Plus, they do an better job at healing than punching people. But creating an outlier to the system would probably wind up as something that's moderately weak, but it might wind up being superfluous to most swords in terms of accuracy and power.
  9. With the staves, here's an table of their stats. I think the recovery amount is the user's magic/2 + the staff's Mt
  10. I thought that stuff was kind of straightforward? I mean, the only thing that's new in terms of evasion is that it uses twice your speed value and that covert units have twice the amount of Avoid from terrain
  11. Lmao, the game doesn't really get good until after you get into Lanayru
  12. Honestly, the series' greatest achievement is that it's still around because it keep reusing the same pool of stereotypes. And that vid more or less covers the starting roster of Engage, hilariously enough. I'm just waiting for IS to break the trend and give us an lunatic right off the bat or have an playable character executed for bullshit reasons
  13. Well, all I have is Chrom, Lissa, and Ryoma. Rightful King is an bit of an waste. Healtouch is kind of situational, but useful. As for Bushido, well at least it's kind of relevant to the main story.
  14. I thought it already existed? I can already see yours right here
  15. Outside of replacing your ingredients or getting a specific one, there really isn't much of an reason not to have 5 dogs out.
  16. You know, I first saw this when I saw an certain pair of livestreamers running an series on it, I felt that the writers really must have really been pressed for time. All that exposition on how the Church is misleading people, how the Kingdom placed too much value on the Crests...And we get something that an preteen would actually say to their parents when they're pissed. It's kind of funny how CF turned out to be an dumpster fire towards the end, though. I haven't really gotten around to playing it because I'm almost done with Silver Snow and I was getting bored with replaying the entirety of 3 Houses. But still, it's almost as bad as Seteth constantly overruling you in SS.
  17. More or less. Since Engage just dumped shit on me that was incredibly easy for me to bait without an lot of consequences or it was slightly mixed without any red flags. To be fair, I did run into an guy with an Ridersbane; but that Royal Knight (I think) was part of an wave of reinforcements and he actually killed himself to someone that had an Ridersbane on. It was kind of funny, but still. I know that they can't really provide an lethal combination of skills or an rallybot in Engage; but so far, it's mostly just using an slightly mixed group of generics with either an Qi Adept to prevent me from quickly cutting through them or being overwhelmed by chain attacks. I was kind of expecting something more than the silver weapons and the occasional spear, but I'm slightly past the halfway point, so who knows?
  18. Probably tweak the internal equations so that both sides will be missing each other around 10-25% more often... But this also leaves axe-users in the dust. Maybe it would be harder if they stopped using homogenous groups of enemies? Like, if you have an General or something that is essentially invincible and the next squad in front of you is around 3 or 4 mortal Savants armed mostly with regular swords; that answer should be kind of obvious. At least with Engage, they do throw in an random Qi Adept for an free save...And then they both die in like, 2 or three turns. Other than that, it's largely an human wave of whatever suits the level's theme.
  19. Overall armored infantry is an great way to lock down an bottleneck in Engage, especially since they can't be staggered (unlike Great Knights). But in addition to (initially) being as mobile as everyone else and having the usual weaknesses; they can only carry one type of weapon, which isn't that much of an problem with lances. As for fighting against them, well it's more of an mild inconvenience because I have to use some magical weaponry (at range) to quickly kill them. But the main drawback with it is that the rest of army is suffering an little bit more than usual when chasing thieves...Unless you're have an Wolf Knight and something else.
  20. Kind of happened with Engage. Now anyone who isn't riding an animal is doomed to get bum-rushed by cav units. Not that it's much of an issue because I stuck an Ridersbane on Louis. But I don't have much of an opinion on the Poleaxe because my dudes aren't strong enough to consistently kill horses with it. I never really paid much attention to Wary Fighter. FWIW, it did slow down my fights; but half the time I was in an rush for some side objectives in Conquest. It could also work, but then you might have to tweak evasion, health values, and healing output to save everyone else from being skewered. Please don't. They're already weak enough as it is. The thing with archers is that they're mainly around to kill off fliers or to kind of harass the enemy frontline (or even kill it off). Plus, it's kind of convenient to have an somewhat weak, but accurate attack. They don't exactly hold up well against mages unless they naturally out range them, though. Well, it kind of is, by design. Because you can't really have something that's meant to be unique but it's actually an poorly cloned version of something that already exists
