Well, I think that it's kind of relatable to have someone who's trying to overcome their vices as opposed to listening to Ferdinand Von Aegir reminding the cast that he's Ferdinand Von Aegir or Hubert scaring someone into compliance. Considering how we had Sylvain making moves on everyone, this is essentially nothing, at this point. At least Louis has some standards, it doesn't really put him in the right, though.

I gave up on this game's supports after I saw Etie's and Boucheron's second conversation. Sure, it was hilarious; but I was kind of expecting an lot more from this game, considering how long this has been in development. And I also think they've butchered Ike's personality with his Bond Conversations. I actually think it's an improvement for him

Donations... are they worth the trouble?
Armchair General replied to Mark the Tactician's topic in Fire Emblem: Engage
It kind of depends on how strapped you are for raw materials -
When it comes to the class types, most of them are fairly good for the roles that they have; except for cavalry because the extra movement isn't all that great when there's an hoard of enemies in front of you. When it comes to the actual classes, I won't be sure until an week or two. With only the advanced ones learning an skill or two, most of them kind of feel like the stuff that we've already seen.

Does Alear Have a Dragon Form?
Armchair General replied to vanguard333's topic in Fire Emblem: Engage
Never really made it that far into the game. I'm kind of ambivalent about the dragon thing because it's something that was pushed off to the side and the writing in this game isn't exactly as great as the older entries, so I don't expect the writers to remember every single detail or for the plot to actually be realistic -
Does Alear Have a Dragon Form?
Armchair General replied to vanguard333's topic in Fire Emblem: Engage
Basically, where Ryoma sees Garon's assassination for what it is and forgives Corrin (and eventually try to drag him back to Hoshido alive ); Takumi immediately blames Corrin for everything for what's happened and tells him to get the fuck out of his country, and keeps calling you an traitor who deserves to die when he shows up in that siege level. Granted, he's starting to become possessed by Anankos, but I find it kind of entertaining that he never really moved on from it while everyone else is busy trying to actually fight an war or trying to rescue Corrin -
What are your thoughts on AI-generated works?
Armchair General replied to indigoasis's topic in Serious Discussion
It's something that could certainly use an lot of improvements, considering how it usually causes an enraged reaction on an site that I frequent. Personally, I think it's the laziest way of becoming an "artist." -
Does Alear Have a Dragon Form?
Armchair General replied to vanguard333's topic in Fire Emblem: Engage
Well, it also becomes another forgotten detail if you include the kids; but since everyone is was busy using what happened to Mikoto in Conquest as an excuse for war, it's kind of entertaining in it's own way. In Fates' case, the entire script was rushed, iirc. And it looks like the characters are ignoring some very important questions here and there. -
Post-Game and the lack of it (Spoiler Warning)

Watch how that update will probably happen an few weeks, from now. Remember how long it took for 3H to come out with Maddening mode? -
Does Alear Have a Dragon Form?
Armchair General replied to vanguard333's topic in Fire Emblem: Engage
Considering how useless Corrin's dragonstone was on Hard, I'm inclined to say "yes." -
What bugs have you found? Let's warn each other!

Come to think of it, isn't that kind of normal for the series? -
Wolf Knight, what's the point?
Armchair General replied to BloodRonin's topic in Fire Emblem: Engage
Considering how Alear has an static growth of 35 in Str and the other protags are pushing 45 or 50 with it, I'm inclined to say "yes." Well, mines still has his uses for fighting off the bandit twins, last night... Although, that was the only notably thing that both Alear and Diamant was capable of doing on that map; since the only thing that the new arrivals needed to stay alive was an certain archer and Louis stabbing the shit out of people...With an fucking Spear. While everyone else was clearing an path and Zelkov was doing most of the fighting -
Post-Game and the lack of it (Spoiler Warning)

I was expecting them to at least reuse the renown system; because let's face it, grinding out the Emblem.abilities is such an pain. -
Wolf Knight, what's the point?
Armchair General replied to BloodRonin's topic in Fire Emblem: Engage
Yeah, that's essentially the main problem with this game. I just use mines with Lucina to protect my frontline or for disarming the occasional axe unit. And one thing that I've noticed is that the avatar growth rates are essentially scaled for being an little bit on the evasive side as opposed to being another powerhouse like Byleth. -
Wolf Knight, what's the point?
Armchair General replied to BloodRonin's topic in Fire Emblem: Engage
How far are you in with your playthrough? I'm nearly halfway through on Hard and the most obnoxious thing that I've seen so far is dealing with fliers popping out of the woodwork in this fog of war map. I haven't really seen any major chain attack spam outside of what an certain boss tried to pulled, but I noticed that the AI did take an 0% swing at Zelkov just to get some free chip damage in -
Wolf Knight, what's the point?
Armchair General replied to BloodRonin's topic in Fire Emblem: Engage
Apparently, this is the absolutely the last thing that you should be worried about because this game knows how to deal with camping I really hope that they keep the chain attacks around for the next mainline game -
Wolf Knight, what's the point?
Armchair General replied to BloodRonin's topic in Fire Emblem: Engage
Going by the max stats thieves are slightly better in an physical fight, but they'll probably be untouchable if they're standing on favorable terrain -
Wolf Knight, what's the point?

Outside of the extra mobility and having an secondary weapon?
