  1. Mobile siege weapons are broken, especially in a low-stat game like Shadow Dragon. Jugdral Barons are my most despised class for being a cheap enemy-only boss class. Fuck Jugdral Great Shield.
  2. FE6 Nomads consistently have higher stats than the Archers, outside of Dayan who is supposed to be well beyond his prime. And in this iteration they don't take cavalry effective damage. You were saying?
  3. Map animations are the "Animations Off" setting and units follow up a kill with a teabagging animation. No, this does not play while the EXP bar is going up, why would it?
  4. This is why I have faith in a Mystery remake being on the table unlike others who say it "had its chance", no it did not when it was Japan exclusive and a lot of people don't use emulators. I would also like to see the two-book presentation, unless the gameplay is extremely similar to Shadow Dragon it would feel off to not include Book 1.
  5. Straight yellow is a disgusting color to the human mind, it's how we're hard-wired. It has to be tinted lighter, shaded darker, or presented alongside complementary colors / black to be appealing. And all natural blondes are of the tinted lighter variety.
  6. Agreed. If they kept some of Platinum's changes like the Dex expansion and streamlined gameplay, Sinnoh might finally have its chance to shine.
  7. Day 2 thoughts: I was bothered at first because again we get no Shadow Dragon characters in lieu of yet another sword infantry from outside the main trinity of games, but the Caeda and Navarre leaks eased my pain.
  8. Throw in flier reinforcements or bust.
  9. Dieck and Lugh are my homeboys in Binding Blade but sadly only Roy has a legitimate shot.
  10. My guess is Jagen or Cain as the main cavalier rep while the other two are alts. I cannot see all three cavaliers making the cut, not when we have other characters like Minerva and a mage to consider; this would bring us up to 9.
  11. I get the feeling that several of Marth's posse and possibly a few Awakening characters are among the "not on the box" group.
  12. This isn't solely due to popularity, from what I've seen the only character who got in solely on popularity is Cordelia. And in a way Navarre is more iconic than Ogma in that he's the series' poster boy for recruitable enemy units, being the third overall and standing out more than the two (Darros and Castor) preceding him.
  13. The realization that Navarre is not on the special edition boxart leak (which does have 25 chibis) has me flipped from salty to hopeful... even he is yet another red sword infantry.
  14. Now I'm kinda hoping they were right about "roughly 20%" meaning more than 25 characters, and that some of the art cards are double features.
  15. I'm gonna be reeeeeeally annoyed if the only other Shadow Dragon characters and Tiki and Caeda.
  16. Halve all physical damage would probably be the most impactful. A movement boost would be the most practical however.
  17. Proof of purchase. Can't use that rapier without a license, ya know!
  18. Takumi getting power crept to be the top tier archer again and getting a personal skill uuuuuuuuummm
  19. With the recent stream of new information I'd like to address a new hot topic: the full-game introduction trailers. We got one for Awakening four days ago and today saw the two for Fates' paths drop. What's curious about this is that they seem to bring a sense of finality to their respective entries; it would be odd to make the full trailers without showing everybody. People have been talking about how odd it is that characters are missing, most notably Azura due to being the poster girl for Fates. The message I'm getting from all of this is that if she is playable, she'll be early DLC rather than part of the starting roster. Same for other fan favorites who I will not mention by name to keep it simple. With that in mind, here is the roster distribution so far: Shadow Dragon, 2 total: Marth, Tiki (tentative) Awakening, 6 total: Chrom, Robin(M/F), Lucina, Lissa, Frederick, Cordelia Fates, 9 total: Corrin(F/M), Ryoma, Xander, Hinoka, Camilla, Takumi, Leo, Sakura, Elise Warriors, 2 total: Rowan, Lianne If we continue with the one art card per character theory, they add up to 19 total, leaving us with six yet to be confirmed characters. Here are my most likely candidates: A) Darius B) Anna C) Shadow Dragon characters It's possible that both Darius and Anna could be playable in the base game, which would leave us with four SD characters. But I get the feeling that one of them might not be playable, probably Anna as DLC. Getting into some Illuminati nonsense, Shadow Dragon opens Chapter 1 with seven playable characters under your banner. In short, we may get five more Archanea characters instead of three or four. Thoughts? EDIT: Aaaaaaaand it looks like the Direct and leaks outright killed this theory.
  20. Speaking of that I have yet to see it posted here so: And I'm with you on it being more credible than the other. It gives Shadow Dragon a solid six characters, and the characters themselves are respectable picks. On the other hand, it seems suspicious to me that they would reveal all those characters tomorrow when they only just released the Japanese trailers for the Awakening and Fates squads. If anything I would expect they would share the recent details given in Japan and save the SD squad for the week-before event. This also seems like a whole lot for one entry on a 45-minute Direct being shared with several other games. It may also be a halfway, where the characters are accurate but them being revealed now is false. EDIT: Another red flag that has been pointed out on Reddit regarding the 4chan Direct "leak": there's no word of Pokemon Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon, which are releasing in November.
  21. Lyn being on the box makes me question the legitimacy. In tandem with the simplicity of the boxart it suggests to me that this is a well-crafted fake.
  22. Now this is something I don't normally see around here. I like them, even if Rebecca is still a little unpolished.
  23. It'll likely be Tiki or Azura if they decide to announce new characters, but I imagine the bulk of it will be covering the details Japan recently received.
  24. Seconding Gonzales as a great "for fun" character in more casual FE6 playthroughs.
  25. Critical hits now OHKO unconditionally and there is no Dodge stat. Gates and thrones have their FE5 terrain bonuses. Bosses can now move but are rubber band warped back to the throne at the end of their turn. All units have a grand total of three support partners, which are determined by RNG at the start of the playthrough. Support conversations are generic a la FE10, there is no Augury to help you figure out who supports who, paired endings are fixed and independent of supports.
