  1. These are some creative achievement names but "Make the Convoy Cry" might be my favorite.
  2. Favorite: The overblown STR hate. Least favorite: Pedo Wrys is the smudge on the Picasso painting of Wrys memes.
  3. New Mystery arguably had the jump first. It seems weaker because unit GRTs have more room for variation, the game's atrophying of class growths on the other side of the physical/magical spectrum also dampens it, and the stat ceilings are ultimately lower. But the bar for "average growths" remains substantially higher than preceding games; just look at the good growths units and it becomes pretty obvious.
  4. We'll start you off at $18 an hour working Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays part-time for a three month training period, and if once you complete the training you'll be bumped up to $23 working full-time Monday through Friday with full benefits. Does that work for you?
  5. I agree with keeping it down to the standard 1->[1 or 2] formula with a few exceptions that's been maintained throughout the series since FE9, too many weapon types create an overload effect and far more redundancies. Just be sensible with who those exceptions are.
  6. same tbh The only real complaint I have is that it makes Lyn's inclusion more baffling.
  7. Yes, but if they get separate ranks they better be distinctly different and have a decent variety of tomes. I also don't think the standard differences between the magic types are that great; as for how I would differentiate them: Fire: Standard magic. It's good as the basic weapon type. Thunder: Cannot attack at 1-range but its parameters are all better or equal to fire otherwise. Some spells may focus on extended range. Wind: Grants an avoid bonus against enemy ranged attacks. Not as weak as it used to be but flier effectiveness is now restricted to specific spells instead of universal.
  8. Sages are my favorite class for their sheer versatility: they can be offensive units with 1-2 range tomes or support units with staff utility.
  9. Yes, you can either breed one move onto a female Totodile as an intermediary or chain-breed the combo onto a single father (i.e. Aqua Jet onto Dratini) and pass down both at once.
  10. No, full weapon triangle control on Generals is something a lot of fans want to see return. I'd also like to see the lance/bow variant return as a "slimmed-down" armor that Soldiers promote to instead of Halberdiers. Now, as far as things I want to see return, weapon stealing. I'd much prefer having the freedom to take what I want from enemies over having dozens of free generic weapon drops and it would give Thieves their personal niche back. It would be pretty fun to get my hands on free forges in the Lunatic lategame too, and having to balance around playable Thieves stealing means we'd get more enemies with multiple weapons.
  11. No, Nyna is nowhere on Valentia. Gaiden Teeta is indeed a portrait edit of FE1 Nyna, although any resemblance either character had to her has been discarded in Echoes.
  12. This sounds a whole lot like a throwback to the Pokemon Birthright and Pokemon Conquest jokes that happened with Sun and Moon.
  13. I find him killing his own soldier in the 1-P outro to be a bit out-of-character when taking into account his light mourning for Alder in 1-9, but otherwise he was a pretty solid villain.
  14. Not to mention FE1 referred to as just that when every other title got their proper names.
  15. Tiki and Mama C.C. needs to happen. Other than that, Marth and Chrom already happens and I would expect Marth and Lucina to have something... maybe we can get Caeda in on it? Heck, even Lissa could have something to say to her ancestors.
  16. It's certainly different from what it was in the original, although I can't say I like how high the characters' natural growths are now. It is pretty neat to be able to slightly break caps though.
  17. I've fully fleshed out my thoughts on a reasonable way to give archers improved range without it being too ridiculous: Long-range: Increment the range bonuses. Most bows are still 2-range, but you can improve it in various ways: -Curved Shot returns as an Art that can be learned both by characters as a skill and through certain bows themselves. -Longbows have innate 2~3 range and are usable by infantry. Curved Shot is available as an innate Art. -Snipers (or whatever class gets bow-locked) gets +1 range as a class-innate skill or trait. I'll stick with Sniper for now. In total you can get up to 4-range (5 for Snipers) on infantry at the cost of doubling, dropping to 3 or 4 if you opt out of Curved Shots. Snipers can still 3-range you with ordinary bows for no penalty, and any bow user (even the bow knights) with the Curved Shot skill can pull a 3-range when needed. Short-range: Introduce Point-Blank as a skill innate to bows that don't have extended range, which functions like Close Counter in Heroes. The caveats are that you cannot follow-up, your effectiveness modifier is weakened or null and of course you cannot initiate at 1-range. That's the best I can come up with while giving fliers a fair chance to fight back. A Hit penalty is arguable but it's a lazy solution that encourages RNG abuse :p Also gives the devs a way to pick and choose who can counter at close-range by opting not to unlock the weapon skill for certain mooks, even if everything past the tutorials should on higher difficulties.
  18. Marth's wife and daughter look pretty good in the artstyle. I'm glad Tiki's pose isn't as odd as her Shadow Dragon OA's pose is.
  19. While I already mentioned my most hated class a few pages back, as a continuation I'll add my least favorite playable class: Halberdier. I find them to be exceptionally bland, they don't stand out anywhere and they don't feel right as a mono-weapon class. I'd rather we get Wyvern Knight back for the mono-lances while Halberdiers pick up a sidearm.
  20. Given that we saw Navarre in an accidental leak and he's not one of the box's 25 characters I think it's safe to say there are several more yet to be revealed characters. But then again with DLC there won't be a definite roster size for several months.
  21. Those characters have their own inventories that they join with later, and if they had anything on them at the end of P-8 they'll leave it in the convoy.
  22. No. It would feel out of place to have a psychotic killer who shows no sign of changing his ways join his former prey's ranks, and as someone before me has said this game has too many characters as it is.
  23. Doubtful for those that aren't guaranteed to exist. Warriors is explicitly avoiding second generation characters and from what I've seen this seems to be the case here.
  24. This is absolutely how special attack skills should be handled, although a non-HP cost might help with enemies using them. I also hope that some of Heroes' skills or the Heroes version of existing skills carry over into the main games, as well as certain skill combinations being incompatible.
  25. I disagree with the stories feeling incomplete without each other, the very loose connection that exists between them is fine as it is. They are not two parts of an overarching conflict, they are two conflicts of differing scale and apparent magnitude.
