  1. Does anyone else get the impression that enemy skill distribution is stacked in favor of giving them debuff skills? Because I've seen quite a lot of Seal skills, Threaten skills and Ploy skills in my first batch of runs.
  2. I agree that armored units should be the exception, whether through their own passive damage reduction or simply not rounding up the damage. I do like the idea of always taking damage from attacks, even if most of the time you should be taking some damage without the mechanic.
  3. yes Especially when you're going through a series of time-consuming maps.
  4. Mt. Battle is a 100-fight marathon in a game that has double battles exclusively and no way to turn off animations. Even though you can save in-between matches (or at rest stops in Colosseum), it's still going to drag on for a long time.
  5. And people said Alolan Meowth looked uninspired...
  6. Maybe if you could reclaim the Mystletainn from the Loptyr Sect at a later point, such as midway through Chapter 10 or the Finale? Having it be lost forever wouldn't make as much sense since you can obtain the Earth Sword in Gen 2 from the vendor come Chapter 9 if you didn't talk to Eldigan.
  7. Damnit I read the title in the sidebar and seriously thought this was Heroes related. Way to get my hopes up... Still, seeing people's speculations makes me hopeful we'll start seeing non-Awakening character reveals. (even though they'll almost certainly be dashed)
  8. The only necessary change to Lyn's role is not being forced-deployed as often. (In fact, it would be nice if I could choose ONE of the Lords to take up the force-deployment slot for any given chapter.)
  9. I am sitting here laughing at just how wrong this sounds Yeeeeeeeah I can see why he's getting suspended, these sorts of questions would be questionable even at a college level.
  10. Azama is canonically ripped (and bad with magic) and Heroes stats conform more to characters' personal stats than to their classes' stats.
  11. I've heard people intentionally run that on Arena Defense so that the AI doesn't waste their dancer's action attacking.
  12. I swear the ally system fixates on one particular friend for like a day or round at a time. I recall constantly getting one friend's Catria once, another's Xander in the clerics gauntlet, and today I keep getting Sanaki.
  13. Ditch the jank Fates triangle so we can have our buff boy archer the Warrior back. Seconding the return of Light magic; they can tie it to the Staff rank like Dark is tied to the Tome rank if they don't want to clutter us up with weapon types.
  14. Lissa and Frederick have already been confirmed as axe users. Beyond that... the big ones are Minerva, Barst, Vaike, Camilla, and Arthur. Implying they try to have at least one weapon rep per game, Awakening is set and I'd expect Minerva over Barst any day. Camilla is a royal but Arthur got name-dropped in a previous article, so he has a chance.
  15. Fire Emblem: Reversal ...What? It's gonna be on the Switch, ain't it?
  16. I saw a team like that too, but with Cecilia as the fourth wheel. Anyway I finally broke into Tier 20 with a score of 4802 and three defense wins. Feels good man, but I know I'm doomed to drop right back into 19 with my low BST team unless I get a really generous bonus unit. Planning to build a new core in the future.
  17. A moment of silence for all the innocent Laguz skinned to acquire clothing materials for the Zenith royal garments.
  18. One postgame idea I had is that Anna offers to throw a festival celebrating your successful campaign that lets you train/optimize characters, fill out the support roster, battle Einherjar teams from other games, replay prior chapters and play a series of postgame challenges. Then when all's said and done you can talk to Anna to conclude the festival, which rerolls the credits with updated epilogues.
  19. My morbid curiosity is waiting to see the final obituary.
  20. And that's how it should be done; I was specifically talking about having two first-tier classes, as the GBA games and beyond do.
  21. The Mercenary/Myrmidon split created two classes that are largely superfluous, Kaga had the right idea with just one sword infantry unit.
  22. I don't skip enemy phases, if I'm getting impatient I'll hit the turbo button.
  23. More minor notes from a second playthrough that's almost done: -Dione's portrait in her Chapter 17 boss quote is wrong, it uses one of Jormund's flunkies. -Chapter 18's armory and shop are located in the opposite buildings the map would normally indicate. Also, Short Axes are dirt cheap at 120 G, even if they are horribly inaccurate.
