  1. This tbh That said, a much less formulaic approach to pairing would also do wonders. Let there be a few people who canonically get together, couples who grow very quickly, and couples who take time to develop. Some would propose during the story while others don't propose until after. Heck, maybe even add a "backup" paired ending or two that requires one of the characters of an existing pair to be dead?
  2. booooooo more 3ds pandering well at least this one has no clear-cut winner LET'S GO FOR BROKE FREDERICK (even though he'll probs lose)
  3. I consider intentionally making characters bad with little to no redeeming factors for the sake of a joke to be a poor form of humor.
  4. Do it like the GBA hacks and give the stat names a colored glow :o Just do it for the characters' personal growths and not the sum of personal+class growths
  5. Fire Emblem: Shadow Tom and the Jerry of Light Tom Emblem: Mystery of the Jerry Tom and Jerry's Return to Dreamland Ed Tom n' Jerry Tom and Jerry's Laboratory Tom and Jerry's Bad Fur Day
  6. I was not being serious... if that wasn't (bad) sarcasm then I forgot to include a "far from" in there. My bad. I know full well how valuable non-growth factors are, and while I wouldn't mind personal growth strengths being indicated I don't think the growths have to be spelled out in game.
  7. Because growths are the only factors making a unit good...? Maybe implement some kind of growth indicator to see where characters grow strong/weak though. I'd like to see Weight and Con make a return, but with an additional buffer for having a higher weapon rank than the weapon. As in using a Steel weapon (D rank) with a C in the respective weapon type reduces the Speed loss by 1.
  8. I dislike that chapter more for the map layout than Douglas. The "main" entrance has a lot of dead space and is essentially the wrong way in (and Roy's default position is there), and the chests are in two groups on opposite sides of the map.
  9. The artstyle for this game seems so familiar, but I can't quite place my finger on it...
  10. Warren's battle quote is glitched in Chapter 9, at least with animations off.
  11. Given how second-gen characters that aren't guaranteed to exist seem to be taboo in Heroes, I doubt we're going to see them in Warriors either.
  12. Counter seals :v Or maybe a set of seals that lets colorless units be treated as a red, blue or green unit instead of colorless.

  14. Promotions to 5*: Olivia x2 (merged them) Palla (for SI) Cecilia Michalis Camus Gordin I also have a looooong list of level 40 4*s to promote, and that's not even taking into account skill inheritance promotions.
  15. Tier 18 again but with two new +1 merges and no need for a 4* bonus unit I'm somewhat hopeful about hitting Tier 20 next week... we'll see. I might have to crest-scum some high-score opponents and not be taken down by random merged whales or Horse Emblems on a bad map.
  16. Playing Heroes I will sometimes talk to myself as if I'm addressing the characters, like when Matthew says, "And now?"
  17. I have a habit of getting carried away with shopping for basic weapons... not to the extent that my convoy is loaded with them but I like to have, say, two copies of everything in reserve, and more for Javelins and Hand Axes.
  18. Oh look Cecilia's back It's going to be nice having free reign over teambuilding next season.
  19. Oh boy you just reminded me, even when movement range displays became a thing it was still somewhat tedious until the GBA, because the cursor would snap back to the unit after you deselected them. I had to double-check a lot while playing FE4 because I'd lose track of the border space.
  20. FE12 Lunatic was by far the hardest on its highest difficulty. On the default difficulty, that honor goes to Thracia 776 although it's largely fake difficulty.
  21. I feel like Intelligent Systems could make a Fire Emblem storybook game akin to the Paper Mario series using the Heroes chibi sprites. It wouldn't be a true crossover, but there could always be that one child NPC who says he read "The Thousand-Year Door" recently.
  22. Just ram harder, you'll make a breakthrough eventually. You're far from the only one who feels whiplash from playing Fire Emblem games in different periods. Going from the GBA games to Genealogy and the DS games felt strange at first due to the lack of rescue, and Thracia 776's rescue is a bit different too. And don't even get me started on Thracia's menu command ordering...
  23. Something based off the Byzantine or Ottoman Empire would be refreshing since that part of European history tends to get under-represented.
  24. There would probably be a bit more gameplay diversity in the GBA period. I know Kaga had a thing for making each game feel unique, and the GBA games barely arguably have the least innovation between them. The 3DS games have been better than prior periods with this, and even though one remakes an existing Kaga game they added new mechanics to make it feel fresh.
