-Characters Artwork Sincerely, it did catch my attention when I first heard of the series. Don't misunderstand me, I like anime and I felt pretty familiar with the game, being this one of the many reasons. -Story Background Among all the games I played, it has a story line typical to adventure games: something evil appears and tries to conquer/destroy the world, a group of heroes must stop it at all costs. But Fire Emblem uses this in an interesting way, it draws attention to the story and plot of the game and personally, I like games that have that characteristic. -Game Genre It's not that similar to play Pókemon or Zelda. In those games, if you lost you could try again from a savepoint you could mark (kind of) and you just needed a strategy to take on most opponents. In FE, it's kind of the same but each chapter has a boss that needs a way to defeat or even a specific task to accomplish. Personally, I don't have a specific reason why I like these games, but I've become a fan of the series and I hope Nintendo and IS keep improving and working in it.

I don't know if it helps, but I've heard a rumor that if Jill has the choice to get a support (I don't know the level) she can talk with her father and stay in your team. I've also tried it quite a lot, but she ends up having a special conversation with her father (I guess only available for A support) and she stays in your team.

So it was this archer everyone was talking? Yeah, he's a pretty brave fella...until the laguz take him on. I recall he attempted to attack them on my playthrough, but only that. He failed and got killed, had to use Meg and Fiona to cover those stairs.

If you feel so desperate to play a new game, try another genre. Maybe card games or keep looking for adventure games. In my opinion, if you own a Wii wait for Other M's release and buy it.

In my personal experience, these units are a good choice for a team: Soren (caps mag, res, skill, maybe spd) Jill (str, def, skill, maybe spd) Mist (just to have a valkyrie healing and attacking greatly with magic swords, mag, res, maybe speed) Elincia (mag, maybe spd) Zihark (str, spd, skill) Mia (skill, spd) Must include in a FE 9 team: Ike (main character, so yes) Boyd (caps pretty good stats) Oscar (the same case above) Rolf (far better than Shinon, therefore best archer) Marcia (same as Boyd and Oscar, capable of capping some stats) Nephenee (simply a good offensive/defensive unit) Volke (best thief/assassin in the game) As for armored knigths, well Gatrie and Brom have their own growth and benefits, choose the one you like the most. If you won't play RD (which I can guess because you said you would search for an emulator)then don't lose time training Sothe, he ends up pretty limited in comparison to Volke. Laguz are good too, so choose one if you like them. All previous recommendations are based on my experience, so they may turn a bit different. Also because I guess you're a fan of Kieran, I would recommend him. He's a decent enough unit, worth training. Good luck and hope you like the game. Train a balanced group as in other FE games (tanks, attackers, defender healers, etc) and hope a certain battle in the game doesn't get on your nerves like it did with me. Sorry if I spoiled anything. Keep in mind the difficulty changes the exp, so if you play in normal (which I do) I would suggest you to train up to 10 units for them to end up begin useful.
