  1. Alucard is in charge of the Etrurian mining operations on Mt. Eburacum. Which happened to have slave labor. If his name has the player think of vampires, well, what's the problem?
  2. ChromXSumia ChromXOlivia ChromXAvatar All of these happened.
  3. I didn't know "casual" players were a hivemind.
  4. While having enough flying units who can't really be dealt with better by non-Bow units is a step in the right direction, I also say that Archers/Snipers could do with having the most movement of all non-mounted units as well as the longest range of all non-magical units.
  5. Well, there's also how units like Leonardo really didn't have that much that sets them apart in practice from others in their class, let alone the whole army. Really, I say at least one issue is that playable characters might not be distinct enough from others. Especially with high the growth rates have gotten up to this point.
  6. What's the problem with calling him Alucard? He's not a man who drinks the blood of the living, but he is a member of Etruia's state. "Vampire" has been used as a metaphor for landlords, etc. for years.
  7. In Thracia 776, you recruited Eyrios only if Olwen was dead or not recruited. Shadow Dragon required that various PCs die to access Gaiden chapters. Would be against another FE having content that is accessible with at least one character death or more? Or not? Like say, being given the option by some wizard character to sacrifice playable characters? Or where you get to a chapter after a unit has died? Etc.
  8. Okay, so units like those characters haven't really been handled that well through the series. Be it that enough have growths so high that they'll be capping or close to capping before promotion, enemies being weak enough that other characters having lower growths doesn't really cancel out their higher bases, etc. Now, do any of you have suggestions for how to handle these characters?
  9. Several FEs have had alternatives to Archers/Snipers when it comes to using bows, Awakening isn't really new when it comes to that.
  10. Characters like Donnel haven't really been handled that well through the series. Either playable character growths are high enough that you'll be getting several characters who can get around 20 for multiple stats before promotion, enemies are weak enough that the lower growths of characters don't really cancel out any higher bases, weapons, joining time, etc. Honestly, I think characters like Donnel would be better off with a Shining Force approach to growths. And maybe lower growths for other characters.
  11. You doubt that fixed weapons could deal with that?
  12. Alternatively to a Sniper Jeigan, I wouldn't be against a General Jeigan.
  13. I could see the mechanic CT075 mentioned not being a bad idea for FE. Although, how much would the decreases be? And how many times would a decrease happen?
  14. Maybe Archers/Snipers should be designed so that in exchange for not being able to attack at 1-2 range and being so frail, they hit harder than most other non-magical units. Let them give blows on the player phase. Give higher bases in strength for at least one of the non-promoted ones. Or something
  15. I don't want the Avatar to show up in another FE unless he/she is THE Lord. If not, then the next FE might as well have another more set Lord. Like Ike.
  16. Next FE should have everybody with Bantu growths outside of what they specialize in. Except for the Est character.
  17. Maybe instead of having all dismounted use swords, you could give all characters who can use mounts have seperate weapon ranks for fighting on foot and on a mount.
  18. Maybe IS should avoid any Avatar characters unless the player's choices have more of an impact on what happens.
  19. If Pair-up comes back, then hopefully it will be nerfed.
  20. Explain how they were better, considering the bases, growths, and enemies.
