He said that my poem devolved quickly into a scientist joke- but why can't Inuit be scientists too? My poem is about minorities challenging preconceived notions and stereotypes, a theme I begin to build in the first line where I remind people that Eskimo is considered, at least where I come from, a derogatory term. And when I cross out the word chemist to replace it, that's to show that yes, the joke is about chemists, but to tell people that just as Taffy is an Inuit before he is a chemist, this joke is about Inuits before it is about chemists. It was considered one of the ballsiest things the forum had ever seen (back when we were pretty much only playing OC) and every single person's mouth dropped once they realized that I completely fooled them.
