This includes Lunatic Statboosters, the Rainbow Pot, you name it.3. The goal is to get the absolute lowest turncount possible in Maniac difficulty. While rigging is allowed in this run, I dont make a habit of relying on it for strats and I wont rig stuff like a 1% crit on Jagen.4. Units that Im planning to use: [spoiler=Units that will be used]1. Cavalier Avatar- tested Fighter and Cavalier and Cavalier won. The extra bulk makes strategies more reliable and cuts 1 turn from Prologue 3 and Athena. Bases: HP 20 Str 7 Mag 0 Skl 7 Spd 9 Lck 3 Def 8 Res 0 Sword E Lance D Growths: HP 70% Str 55% Mag 20% Skl 60% Spd 45% Lck 60% Def 40% Res 5% 2. Marth- obviously, I need him to be competent by Chapter 12. He got the Growth Drop. Bases: HP 26 Str 8 Mag 0 Skl 10 Spd 10 Lck 9 Def 8 Res 0 Sword D Growths: HP 110% Str 70% Mag 5% Skl 75% Spd 75% Lck 90% Def 40% Res 15% <- after growth drop 3. Ryan- my plans include a competent horseman to ORKO Hardin with Parthia, and which unit would be better for the task than Ryan? Will be constantly changing from myrmidon to hunter to sniper to horseman to swordmaster. Might also be used as a second string Dracoknight. He got the Bond Drop. Navarre- he's an excellent unit and I picked up to make him the possible second horseman I need for 20x. Yeah, he really is. i think Ryan will contribute a lot, his chip will be useful against the prologue 8 thieves for example. I want to start giving a lot more kills to Luke and Caeda though. The bosskills for ryan were almost inevitable. Well, maybe Athena was, but the way the map played out in that particular run didnt make it possible for Caeda to get the kill. Thanks :D Caeda needs 2 str procs and 2 spd procs by Prologue 8 to get the absolute minimum. And yes, the level was rigged :P. Though I only wanted str, she also def so doop. Also seeing the reference, Dragon Knight, Yes? I hate rigging, its just that for this particular playthrough, I need Caeda to be able to ORKO thieves/Katarina in Prologue 8 :P. Also, it was Jedi who put the theme, I saw him. :P Also, It seems a 3 turn of Prologue 8 is off-limits. My plan involved having Katarina killed by Enemy Phase 3 and then ending it by having the remaining thieves suicide on Caeda, but the problem is, that even though Katarina has retreated, reinforcements still spawn. So, the hand axe barbarians dont allow me to 3 turn. Deploying Luke also only lets me 5 turn oddly enough. So I chose to deploy Ryan and Wrys over him. Poor Luke. PKL Posted April 16, 2013 Author Share Posted April 16, 2013 Managed to 4 turn Prologue 8 with relatively high chances of sucess. The only problem was the first turn, in which I had to make sure athena and Marth dodged their 50 something display hit axes. The rest was pretty rig-free, though I had to sacrifice Cain to lure Katarina. Means Im down 1000G in the main game. Since I get so much money in the game, I dont think this will be a huge issue though. Should still get enough money from weapons and stuff to be able to Drill Ground Marth and Katarina/Merric. Speaking of, I need a Gharnef killer, Katarina costs 1 turn or an again charge (which I wont be able to spare) while Merric costs more money overall. EDIT: It's too unreasonable in other words Im not gonna halt the run to rig for an entire week/month/w.e it takes to get the 1 turn :P Perhaps I shouldve phrased that better in the OP Anything remotely reasonable goes to save the turns EDIT 2: Wait, why are we even having this conversation? So I have 3 rescues, 1 warp and a bunch agains in endgame. Thats more than enough. Im wondering though, if there is any way to tweak it to save any turns? Will 20x take less turns with a few charges off of those staves? These are things Id like to know before actually playing 20x, but idk, I think i really would need to play it to find out... PKL Posted April 18, 2013 Author Share Posted April 18, 2013 (edited) Prologue 8 is done in 4 turns.The first part needed the Silver axe dodge from marth at like 50 hit and the steel axe dodge on Athena at similar hit. Otherwise, it is fairly rig-free until after the map save, that is. But the safety of the map save lets me do risky stuff. Since the remaining thief at the end proc'd hp and def, a combination of Ryan+Merric did not yield the result I expected. After I had made merric attack the thief is when I realized the 2 couldnt KO him, resulting in some improvization that somehow worked so I didnt have to re-record the map save haha. Thats why I took the risk and used the rapier to try and get a crit on the barbarian with marth. Merric got a terrible first level, which makes me a bit skeptical to make him my gharnef killer. Hopefully he doesnt get more of those. Athena gets a gr8 level, shame she has no use later. EDIT: Also, forgot to mention, I managed to deploy Luke contrary to what the prep screen makes you believe.
