The question didn't specify what exactly we are using our weapons for, but I'd assume the practice of fighting, since that is the purpose of a weapon. How did you remember that, I was as amused reading that post as if someone else had posted it. >__> Also, from childhood until now my favorite weapon has always --always-- been a sword of some form. I am partial to lances and longrifles to some degree, but they pale in comparison to my fondness for many different makes and models of swords. I guess like most I'm fascinated by the katana because they're so very sleek, but more than that I believe I came to like it because outside of the battlefield --as it was almost certainly never used by samurai unless as a weapon of last resort-- it was generally wielded in duels with both hands, or at the least on its lonesome. While I have a massive boner for heavily armored elite infantry, knights and the like are often shown wielding an arming sword of some sort alongside a shield. I don't know why but I have never liked shields in any form. I understand their necessity in ancient combat but I just don't like them at all. So as a result I tend to like heavier swords which would make use of a shield very difficult, I suppose.
