This thread has how many replies?!?! Yeah, not reading all of that. Has anything been confirmed either way or should I just slide back into the shadows?

Slide back in the shadows. A lot of this thread is people explaining why they think it does or doesn't make sense, and why they think it has or hasn't been confirmed, but there's nothing actually confirmed.

You weren't talking to me when you quoted my post? Makeup your mind.

You quoted me and called me out for something I didn't do, so I quoted you. I wasn't implying that he has no right to be on this board, I was asking a question. And I still don't see why you decided to enter the conversation. And I already said I sorted it out with him.

Either way, this topic is about skinship, and we should drop this so it could stay this way.

Your apparent lack of self-control or ability to commit to a story shouldn't dictate gameplay systems and design choices for everyone.

Hardly, the point is that it undermines the choice aspect of the game if I can finish one plot and immediately load up the other one, or start a game for the other path if I get stuck on a level, or if I decide that I don't like the path I chose and want to do the other one, or even if I get bored and want to do something different. You are choosing which side you care about, just like Corrin/Kamui is, you actually have to put some thought into whether Blood or Birthright matters more to you and you have to choose which sides ideology you agree with or which side you sympathise with. You have to make the choice in the real world, just like Kamui does in game. The choice actually matters beyond which route you feel like playing first, or which exclusive Pokemon look cooler.

Biggest inclination is this from the Kotaku article writer that supposedly includes a response from Richard George, part of a PR firm Golin that has a contract with Nintendo confirming the original Nintendo representative statement.

Haha well that's the kicker then. I'm actually Japanese, and I was raised with Japanese customs from my mother. But my dad's American so we can't live there since he can't speak Japanese. That's why I bought the NA 3DS as I thought I could trust localization to not do these kinds of things, but I guess I regret that now.

You can imagine this being 2x the hell it is for me because I don't even require an English patch, but it is what it is and I don't expect Nintendo to pander to a demographic that probably only consists of me and like two other people under the same circumstances.

Back on track, I touch my friends faces all the time, I guess they never minded because they are ALSO all conveniently Asian. I've never noticed until now but I never felt comfortable doing this to my friends who didn't share my culture. But still....ahh. I really don't see what's wrong with it...

Pretty much this is exactly my thoughts. I really enjoy being touched my other people. Maybe not everyone, but I could count quite a few people who if they skinshipped with me, I wouldn't object.

It seems like a cultural thing. I don't find it nearly as uncomfortable as other people. I think that's the sticking point.

I think it is a cultural thing, but for me its really more community-culture. Its just how our GSA/LGBT+/queer community is, and all around its a good time. Somebody even made homemade sweets and brought it so we all could have some(I had three).

So I mean, cultural differences is most likely a huge reason NoA may want to cut skinship, but at the same time, its.. literally optional, and will only get sexual if NoA lets it(eg they could avoid is by changing lines).

This is an excellent point, and one I completely agree with it. One of the reasons I stopped playing awakening as often was because it was virtually the same every single time I played through.

That's really sweet! It would be nice if everyone could be open to closer communities, but there's nothing wrong with not wanting to.

I really am beginning to think the original did the right thing though, as in not making it required. I hope NoA realized this if they're going to take it out.

Because I felt like it. Deal with it.

This is a bunch of confabulated stuff to justify a split choice game that isn't actually a split choice. I guess your entitled to your opinion even if I fundamentally disagree with every point of it. There's a reason that most split version games usually let you play both sides.

Folks The ESRB will tell us if Nintendo dosen't

Like it would get on the rating description.

Even if it did, consider Project X Zone 2 (a T-rated game) openly mentions "libido" and spanking in that sort of light five minutes in, the game wouldn't be rated M. You have to have the F word, lingering blood, nudity, or some combination thereof to get that.

It's technically a split choice if you buy the digital version. Unless you're saying you're just mad it's not all on one cartridge for more people, in which case it just sounds more like you're salty.

Yes because it would totally push up the rating to M from T.

This isn't Bayonetta or No More Heroes...

as in the ESRB would make a point to mention that "the player can invite another character into their privatequarters and use the bottom touch screen to rub a characters face"

edit: guys take this other argument somewhere else

If you want conflict, find it with someone else. I wasn't trying to cause conflict, and it's obvious you want to argue with someone, so find someone to be rude to.

I'm sure that it would fall under suggestive themes, which is likely on there due to Camilla for instance, but I could be wrong.

I dont care much if its out i hope they replaced with something cool and we still get too see the live2d models tbh

As has been said before, it's probably unlikely it will be replace with something interesting, because then the japanese might start complaining that they didn't get whatever we got. Chances are, it either got turned into an average conversation, or cut entirely.

no, they would make a point out of it

just look at how detailed GTA 5's raiting

http://www.esrb.org/ratings/Synopsis.aspx?Certificate=33839&Title=Grand+Theft+Auto+V

or any other game, they detail what happens in the game (and thankfully don't give away spoilers)

Uhh, didn't the ESRB rating already come out? It's teen. Even then, FE is NOWHERE near an M rating.

it's already been rated, they just haven't posted it on the ESRB's website

The site hasn't updated with the full in-depth rating description.

Actually, just a sec...

EDIT: Nope, still nothing.
