The save state for a game tends not to travel between devices for whatever reason... but a .dsv made with the "export backup memory" and put in with the "import backup memory" features of the emulator should function (they're both under file). Also, one thing I've discovered is that the name of the save file has to match up with the name of the Rom, or else it doesn't recognize it.
