Mech battle are literally rock paper scissors. I like them too

There are more fun ways to do that.

Also, i am a Xeno fan, a series where even it's worst instances of mech combat are still better than Trails mech combat.

It doesnt support "fun" which imo should probably be number 1 priority.

I mean what someone's definition of fun differs from person to person.

Example: KagaSaga/FE doesn't support fun outside of two exceptions

The book from FC. And CS1.

…did anyone actually read those?

What did it have to do with Toval anyway?

Which is why the argument started in the first place.

At the risk of starting three more pages of discussion, I reached the CS advertisement door.

He's most certainly not... well no, the game doesn't pretend that he isn't a villain. Even SC didn't pretend that he isn't a villain, and he wasn't even in that game. It'll take three games or so before he becomes important again, but he already projects enough menacing aura to make up for lost time. Olivier has his work cut out for him.

Spoiler

Also Lechter is here again, answering my previous question as to whether he would reappear in this game. It turns out he was Osborne's lackey all along, though he doesn't keep it secret that he isn't really loyal to him.

Kloe also got more screentime, which is good.

I read Carnelia in the 3rd, in FC I skimmed through it for the achievement. I largely kept up with Gambler Jack in SC, but I was more interested in the Liberl News in both games.

Spoiler

Of course both of those were based on true stories, so maybe they'll be important later...

I gained so much respect for Dorothy in that run. Still cry manly tears when I remember how she fell.

Dorothy might be the greatest shitty archer in the series. Good Str, Skl, and Spd growths, while still being kinda shitty. Great fun.

I mean, Binding Blade did a great job of making every unit on Binding Blade's roster feel distinct. Sure, it does it in the most unbalanced, wacky, out-of-left-field way in a lot of cases, but every unit in Binding Blade feels distinctly themselves, be it due to unique statlines, recruitments, or simply sucking so hard that they make that their niche. It's quite the unique cast, and that's one of the game's strengths, jank and all.

That is true. I didn't mean it as "PE makes BinBla's characters unique" and more like "PE makes all of BinBla's good while still retaining some level of uniqueness". Not the same level, of course, since they're trying to make all of them good-but-not-broken. And it was honestly a little soulcrushing to have Milady join as a prepromote that's just... kinda good, I guess.

Well hey, you got what I hear is a good game out of the deal, so... Neat?

And a pretty expensive game too. I paid like 12 USD for Sacred Stones and ended up getting a game that usually goes for around 120$

It almost seems too good to be true, I'm expecting an email from the seller asking me to return it any minute now.

Not at the moment no, but I was planning on getting a DS to play GBA games in general, I just need to plan out a day when I can drive to the city.

15 minutes ago, Saint Rubenio said:

I can't even think of anything close to that from Mario lol.

Bowser's laugh from Mario 64 comes to mind.

11 minutes ago, Acacia Sgt said:

It's on Steam too.

The GBA version seems uncharacteristically expensive for a game that's available in a 20$ modern collection.

is CB spam fun? No? Well you could argue dont use it, but then how can you claim "multiple options!" If you have to limit your use on it without free wins. I think that desiging it around that at all would be stupid af.

It's four games in one package. Not worth 5 USD either?

B-but the games already had enough reading on their own, and they’re just random side books, or so I thought…

most of them are actually real/about characters in the Story

Like Toval for example, he is Toby from one of those books

I was going to upload a small Triangle Strategy video.

Holy shit, the Switch's recording feature is absolute garbage. What is this video quality?

Yeah, agreed. Girl packs a punch. Must be the pent-up rage from having to deal with Saul all the time. A friend of mine actually ships them. A fair idea, I suppose, but I much prefer the notion that she has better taste than the sleaziest man in all of Elibe, and truly did mean to shoot him in the balls for thinking so highly of himself.

Not gonna lie, this is how PE had me feeling in the late stages. FE6's signature janky difficulty was gone, and instead I had a pretty standard "your entire army is God, now go wipe red-colored pixels out of the planet" experience. I've felt that with FE6 before, mind, but... Well, by my like 10th run. I've played that game far too much.

Who's the obvious villain standing there?

By which I mean, the old man with the beard, obviously.

Remember that one super grumpy general you met in FC near the same time as Olivier who was all “Wah wah wah, Bracers bad!”?
