And from what I hear, it's a case of "the show is better than the comic it based on" because The Boys comic from what I've heard is basically just an edgy gore fest. Like in the comic apparently, one character eats babies and another has sex with a woman but the force of his ejaculation turns his sperm into basically bullets and it tears her apart. Yes someone actually drew that for real, all because the writer of the comic famously hates superheroes. Now mind you, the show is still pretty gory but it's not the edge fest that the comic was. I haven't watched the show tho, I don't have any plans to. I'm still waiting for Invincible S2 instead.
