QOTD Thread: The End

My original username, Boron, is a 7th grade school joke that didn't know when to die. And now I'm stuck with it.

My second username is NONE OF ANYONE'S BUSINESS.

Folgore Yellow is self-explanatory, I think.

Xin Li is the name of the OC based on me in this gender-flip story I'm writing.

Seoyeon is a Korean name I like.

Taewoo is another Korean name I like.

Sangyul is the name of a minor character in this Korean manhwa I read, and I liked the name.

Starting to see a pattern here?

For Yesterday's: "Airshipping is Canon". [Airshipping, was, a very very very short lived name (It was popular for like a week) for one of my first "OTPs"-- namely Lloyd/Colette from Tales of Symphonia. Which is, well, canon, thus the phrase. It stuck to me from that time.] On top of that, puns. Looks like I'm referring to a Cannon on an Airship. (Which is not really correct, but hey.)

For today's: I can't really think of any urban legends outside of some things that have been tested on Mythbusters or are on Lifehackable. I do on the other hand know of, and occasionally propagate some "Urban Legends of Zelda" (Video game Urban Legends. Like Mew under the truck.)

THE OHIO GRASS MAN

specta will probably elaborate on that later for me

The Ohio Grassman is a big, tough, hairy manbeast thing. He lives in the countryside, eats things that aren't people, and smells really bad.

I also think I heard once that there were multiple grassmen but I'm not 100% sure on that one.

sorry I do not have more to say >: this is one urban legend I do not know an awful lot about

Not surprised. The big hairy manbeast things seems to exist by different names in many places. :o Still, cool.

That the glass in old windows is thicker towards the bottom is a consequence of how the glass is spun, not because the glass actually flows over a timescale we can notice. The predicted value for this timescale is actually longer than the age of the universe.

New question! Doing this one a little earlier because I might fall asleep soon.

So school has started for most people. For some it's an experience rife with frustration while others enjoy going to school, whether it's for the academic, social, or some other aspect.

With that said: What is the most enjoyable class/course you took?

Personally I enjoyed the high school Organic Chemistry course I took. We essentially made moonshine and watched movies most of the time (it was a casual class, so shoot me).

Any history class I took, I love history. So much so I was a TA and tutor in Highschool for history after I finished it and helped others get through it.

Although this caused a girl I helped to stalk me ^^; but thats a story for another time

Microscopy Lab was totally awesome. We got to work with thousands of dollars of equipment and some high quality lenses and make a microscope from basics.

Classics was also great. Gotta love those crazy Greek people.

Oh man there's a lot

Middle/high school:

AP BC Calculus: The only negative was it was first period in high school aka 7 in the morning, which is a shame because my teacher is great and I really like math to start. It was fun though.

AP Statistics: Our labs involved candy. Enough said.

Pretty much all my math classes ever since 9th grade really

Most of my art classes in high school: My school had a very strong art department so our art classes are actually specialised and we actually did shit.

8th grade Earth Science: Teacher is A+ and made it super fun.

10th grade Chemistry: aka explosions everyday

Shakespeare: That one English class in high school I didn't suck at, basically. For some reasons I'm surprisingly good at shakespeare despite my otherwise suckitude at English, and we did a bit of in-class acting for it too. I just picked all the swordfight scenes so I got to smash my friends with wooden sticks a lot. Good times.

College:

Algorithms. It was very interesting. I was also pretty good at it (except dynamic programming). The professor was funny, too.

Game programming: The projects practically killed me, but the professor's really fun so I liked going to class.

There's a few others, Some (like physics) had the worst timing possible (7am in college is worse than 7am in high school my sleep schedule is whack), or a subject I am awful at, but a great professor, others are subjects I'm interested in but only a mediocre professor, etc. I get Shakespeare again this semester though, so we'll see how that goes.

Bite me, you're getting two.

Freshman Chemistry (college) - The professor told us that he'd assign no homework, and that our grade would be based on four tests given throughout the year. I learn best in such an environment, and was one of nine people to walk out with an A (out of fifty-something people).

Some Computer Security Class (college) - We had a group project with a clause that we'd fail if campus security arrested us while doing our assignment. That. Was. FUN!
